Easy Valentine’S Day Hairstyles

Hey guys, it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel, so for today's video I have six easy hairstyles that you can wear for Valentine's Day, they're all very cute, girly festive and a lot of fun. But I told you guys: I keep you in the loop whenever there's awesome deals happening, so I'm just letting you know, I'm just trying to hook you guys up. So with that being said, let's go ahead and jump into the video. So, to start off this first hairstyle, I'm going to take a section of hair, like so kind of like a messy rectangle, that's kind of what it is and I'm going to very loosely secure it with a tiny hair elastic like this. So you want to keep that very loose. That'S going to be important in a future step. So now I'm going to split the hair into three sections and I'm going to clip up the side sections and we're going to start with the middle section first. So I'm just going to create a simple three strand braid. So with this one we're going to divide it into three sections and then cross the middle strand over each of the side strands and just continue that all the way down until we secure it with a hair elastic. So I'm just going to speed this all up right now. Now we can take down the front section and we're going to do the exact same thing, so divide it into three and then do a simple three strand: braid all the way down and then secure it with an elastic. Can you guess what we're going to do with this last section here yep we're going to divide it into three and do a simple three strand braid and then tie it with an elastic. So basically, we now have three three strand braids. Now, with these two outer braids we're actually going to flip them and tuck them into this hair elastic that we did at the top. So that's why it was important to keep that really loose so that way it can easily slide the braids through, like that. So you wanted to slide it all the way right before it's about to come. Undone, if that makes sense, if you watch what I'm doing it kind of it's it's, it looks easier than how I'm explaining it so now, once we have that we are going to bring these two braids together to that middle braid and then secure it, and that's How we get this heart shape, so I'm going to secure that with a hair elastic and then lift up the braid to kind of adjust it. How you like you can make it bigger, keep it small. However, you like - and here I am just taking out those extra hair ties because we don't need them anymore, so you can wear this. However, you'd, like you, can do just one heart like this or you can do another heart like I am going to do and you could even curl your hair if you want, I like curling, my hair, so that is what I'm doing, and here is the first Hairstyle moving on to hairstyle number two: you want to start off by grabbing a section of hair in the center of your head, like so just a big chunk like this, and I'm just going to secure it with a hair elastic, and then you want to basically Grab the hair right next to it and then secure that with a hair tie and now we're going to create another section on the opposite side. So basically we have this half-up half-down hairdo, but in three separate ponytails. If that makes sense. So now, with each section I'm going to do a simple three strand braid, you can do any type of braid you want. You can do a fishtail braid. What else is there rope braid, whatever your heart desires, I'm just going to keep it simple and do a three strand braid on all three of these sections, and once you have that done, I'm just going to tug on the braid to loosen it up and make The braid a lot more voluminous. I actually would do it even more than what I'm doing right now. I wasn't using a mirror when I'm doing this look so I couldn't see, but I would definitely recommend make your braid as big as possible. So now I'm just going to wrap this braid up together and then secure it with a few bobby pins. I like to do one bobby pin on top and one bobby pin on the bottom and the texture of the braid and then just wrapping. This kind of in a circle it's going to give the illusion of like a rosebud. So the longer your hair is the more texture that your braid has the prettier. This hairstyle is going to look so if you have longer hair than me, this is going to look amazing on you and that's it for this second hairstyle, with these three braided rows buttons. Moving on to hairstyle number three, you want to grab a small section of hair towards the front of your face like this and then start braiding and we're going to create a Dutch braid. I do have a detailed tutorial explaining how to achieve a Dutch braid. So I will link that right over here in the cards, for you guys to click for that. But we are going to Dutch braid the hair halfway back and then just continue a regular three-strand braid. All the way down like this and now we're going to create the same exact thing on the next side, so just grabbing a section of hair in the front of our head. I am leaving my bangs out to just frame my face and then going back and grabbing sections and adding it to my braid and then once I get halfway back, I'm just going to continue the braid as a regular three strand braid. Now I'm just going to loosen up the braid and make it look a little more voluminous and just pull out the hairs a little bit so now. What we're going to do is take both those braids and tie them in the back like this. So now we have this kind of half up, half down hairstyle and of course, if you're recreating this hairstyle definitely use a mirror. So you can make sure that the hairs in the back are all nice and smooth. I was doing this without a mirror, so this is what we're working with so now, with the tail end of this ponytail, we created I'm going to pick up some more hair underneath and now create a simple three strand braid and after that you want to tug Apart the braid to make it nice and voluminous because, like the previous hairstyle, we're going to create a little rosebud, so the more texture your braid has, the better. It'S going to look so once you're done with that we're just going to wrap this braid around the hair elastic just like we did with the previous hairstyle and then secure it with a few bobby pins, and that is going to complete this look. I love how easy and effortless this hairstyle is, and it definitely has bohemian vibes to it. Moving on to hairstyle number four you're probably wondering what the heck is this. This is actually a hair donut and I just use some elastics to tie them down to create this kind of heart shape. So I did two elastics on the bottom and then two on the top, so kind of looks like Mickey Mouse ears at the top and then right here in the middle is where we're actually going to slip our ponytail through. So I know it looks weird right now, but just follow along it'll all come together. I promise so I'm going to take my hair and just tie it up into a regular half-up, half-down ponytail, now very carefully. I'M going to put my index finger and my thumb through it's a little donut hold a little opening there and grabbed my ponytail and slide it through. If you have steak hair like I do, this might take a little while, but once you get it through just secure your little hair donut around your ponytail holder and make sure the two little Mickey Mouse ears are facing the top, because that is going to be The top of the heart, now what you're going to want to do is flip your hair over, and this is easier if you kind of bend over like this, you want to make the hair completely flat over the hair donut and then take an elastic and secure That down now with all the rest of the hair, that's kind of sticking out all over the place. I'M just going to shimmy that hair down you can bobby, pin it in place, but I like, having it just loose and hanging down like that and now it's time to adjust the heart and what I'm going to do is pull out some of the hairs around The top of the heart, so it gives it more shape and then I'm going to take a bobby, pin and push down the center of the top to really create that indent. For that perfect heart shape and that's how you create this really cute heart-shaped bun. If you have thick hair like I do, I definitely recommend doing a half up half down version of this bun, but if you have thinner hair, you can definitely do all of your hair into this button. Moving on to the next hairstyle we're going to create a cute little bow, so you want to grab two sections by the front of your face and then bring them together in the back. This is a little different than grabbing all of your hair and creating a half-up half-down style. We want to keep a little gap in between and you'll see why, in a little bit so once you wrap your hair into the hair, elastic, don't slide the hair. All the way through keep it in a bun form like this, so now slip that bun in half and then we're just going to adjust it and bobby, pin it down, and this is going to be these sides of our bow. Like I mentioned in the earlier hairstyles, if you're doing this with a mirror, it's going to come out so much better because I'm not using a mirror for this hairstyle. So yours is going to look better than mine. So now, with a little piece of the tail, I'm going to take that and slide it through that little gap see that's why we wanted to have the gap with the hair that we pulled back so we're just sliding that down and then securing it with a Bobby pin so that's kind of like tying the bow. So this is what this cute and simple and easy bow. Hairstyle looks like and finally for this last hairstyle we're going to call it the wild card hairstyle, because I wanted to do an updo, but I didn't know exactly what I was doing. So, let's just see what I come up with. So I am starting off by doing a Dutch braid with my hair, so kind of like how we did one of the earlier hairstyles. So I'm going to Dutch braid my hair back and then once I get towards the back of my head, I'm just going to do a regular three strand braid and I'm going to repeat that same process on the next side. Now with the hair in the back. I'M going to create a diagonal just like this, and with the top section of hair, I'm going to create a twisted rope braid. So I've done a tutorial on this as well. So I will leave it linked in the cards if you guys want a detailed tutorial, but basically I'm taking two strands of hair, twisting them together and then picking up more strands of hair on each section and then continuing to twist that and once I have twisted All of the hair I'm going to do a standard rope braid. Now. What I'm going to do is gently tug at this rope braid and give it more volume and have it be nice and big. Just like how I like most of my braids and then I'm going to twist this up kind of like the Rosebud style that we did earlier and then just secure it with a few bobby pins and I'm going to do that same twisted rope, braid technique with You remained your hair that I have and then again once I finish that and tie it with an elastic I'm going to pull apart the rope braid to give it more volume and texture and then wrap it around into a little bun and then secure it with Bobby pins and with those two braids we did earlier, I'm just going to take those and wrap them around the two buttons that we just made. So once I find the placement that I want to put them in, I'm just going to bobby pin them in place, and that is basically it for this. A wild-card updo that I created. I am pulling out some of the hairs just to give it a softer. Romantic kind of messy bohemian feel to it, but that is it. I think this hairstyle is really fun and I actually really like how it turned out, so that is going to be it for this hairstyle video. I hope you guys enjoyed. Thank you so much for watching.
