Half Up Heart Bun | Valentine'S Day Hairstyle | Cute Girls Hairstyles

To begin this Valentine's day hairstyle start by pulling some of the top hair back into a ponytail near the crown. Remember to keep the style soft and loose. Take one of the remaining side pieces and begin to braid it. Secure with an elastic and repeat on the other side. Take both braids and secure them together directly under the ponytail. This will help keep the elastic hidden.
On the original ponytail we are going to create a heart hair flip. Create a small hole in the ponytail and flip the hair under and through the hole. Secure that out of the way temporarily.
Now take two more side pieces and twist them back toward the back of the hair. Loosen them a little to keep them soft. Take them up and over the braids and bobby pin them.
Lower the flip hair back down and divide it into two pieces. Spray it a little with hairspray or wax to add a little stiffness. You can also tease the pieces a little to add texture. Begin to use these pieces to form the shape of a half heart. Clip the loops down to help keep the separated as you secure them together at the point of the heart.
Readjust any bobby pins that may be showing through and hair wrap the last elastic.

( upbeat music, ), Hey everyone, I'm Jordan from Braids by Jordan, and today I'm going to be showing you how to do a pretty half up heart bun. That will be great for Valentine's Day.. If you haven't already subscribed for Cute Girls, Hairstyles make to hit the subscribe button and give this video a big thumbs up.. So let's get started. Start off by pulling the hair into a half up ponytail, but leave out about an inch of hair in the front on each side.. Take a section of hair from the front of the head and divide it into three to start a regular braid., ( upbeat music ) Every so often I like to go back and pancake the braid by pulling gently on the edges to give it more volume.. ( upbeat music ), Once the braid is long enough to reach the back of the head, take a bobby pin to secure the ends. Temporarily., Then repeat on the other side. ( upbeat, music, ), Move the ponytail up and out of the way and then secure the braids together, underneath. Move the pony tail back down and then split the hair in the middle above. The elastic. Pull the ponytail up through the gap so that it lays straight up.. If you need to, you can use a clip to keep the ponytail secure and then take a section from the front of the head and twist it back away from your face. And pull on the edges of the twist, to give it a little more volume.. ( upbeat music ) Take the twist and pull it down through the gap on the opposite side of the ponytail., Then take a bobby, pin and pin it underneath the elastic. And repeat on the other side. ( upbeat music ), Once both twists are secured carefully. Pull down on the sides of the twists so that they're lower than the braids. Take the ponytail and split it into two.. Take one of the sections and move it out of the way.. Then take the other section and spray it with some dry, shampoo or hairspray. To give it more texture., Take the section and push it up to create a loop for the first half of the heart. Use, a bobby pin to keep it secure and then repeat, on the other side. ( upbeat music ), Then very carefully clip each loop down To help keep them separated., Take a small baby elastic and secure both sections together at the center of the head., Carefully take out the clips and then pull any pieces of the heart if needed, to adjust it. Then go back and carefully pull on the edges of The twists in the middle of the heart to fill the center and cover any bobby pins or elastics. Use bobby pins if needed, to help hold the twists in place., (, upbeat, music, ), And then I decided to hair wrap the elastic. So I just put my fingers back up through the elastic and took a little section of hair to wrap around and then pull back through the elastic. ( upbeat music. ) Then spray with hairspray to help keep it secure and smooth any fly. Aways. And that's it.. ( upbeat music ).
