Valentine'S Day Heart Hairstyle By Phil & Emma From Daddy Daughter Hair Factory

You'll need your favorite brush, a comb, some detangling spray, a Topsy Tool, a big elastic and a tiny elastic.

This hairstyle will take roughly 8-10 minutes depending your your ability.

Something to remember. Your daughter will use you as the standard for every man she meets in her life, so set that standard high. It's not about raising girls into unreasonable women, it's about raising girls to know their worth.

Enjoy your weekend guys! I hope you give this one a shot. Thanks to Emma's mother for coming by and helping us with setting up the studio :)

Hey guys, it's phil from daddy/daughter hair factory for today's Saturday style, we're gon na bring you something. That'S fantastic for Valentine's Day. So, let's get started, show you guys what you're gon na need. Detangling spray you're gon na want a good brush, whatever your favorite, brushes or styling comb, something that you can use to separate the hair. This is a topsy tool. You can also make one of these with a pipe cleaner. Just make a ring around one end. It'Ll work and then two elastics and we chose yeah you're gon na want a big one and a tiny one. This is gon na be red for Valentine's Day. Okay, so let's get started, I'm gon na switch cameras and we'll get going so. The first thing you're gon na, want to do spray a little bit of detangler in the hair. This is gon na work out those tangles, nice and easy and use your brush go ahead and brush out those tangles. If you find the hair extremely tangled, you may want to pull out a styling comb just be a little bit more gentle with it. But this is gon na work out great, and what we're gon na do here guys is we're gon na remove the part line in her hair. Look up and there we go perfect nice and simple. Okay, simple love, simple! Okay! Now you're gon na want to grab your styling comb find the point there we go find the point right above her ear now make sure you're being super gentle against that scalp and what we did here was we drew the section up there. We go same thing on the other side perfect once you have, that done, a little bit more spray always helps, and now just brush the hair into your hand. All right after the brush I like to use just a little bit more spray and then use the styling comb. This is gon na help, keep things nice and smooth get rid of any lumps that you may have created with the brush all right once you have that done. You'Re gon na install your big elastic. I think the important thing to remember here is that it's centered. It'S hard when the hair is long and also make sure you capture all the hair going through there. Okay, so that's perfect, like that. This hair down here we're gon na leave that for now, actually we're not going to end up doing anything with that, but okay. So the next step, you're gon na, want to pull this elastic out just about one-inch, so we're gon na take the elastic and what we're doing is releasing some of the tension so that, if that may have been about a 1 1 inch, maybe just a tad More ok, so, as you can see that made it nice and loose now we're going to take our Topsy tool right here and we're going to capture the ponytail and we're gon na put it right up through the middle. You see that this way and up okay, you can see what I'm doing here now. You'Re gon na want to finesse this and flip it up behind the elastic. I recommend, if you get to this point, try to loosen it if you need to but you're gon na pull this through. You don't: okay, I'm okay, I'll check with your daughter, just make sure you're not creating any discomfort. So, as you can see, we flipped it up through now we're going to go ahead and there we go there. We go okay, we got it flipped through next step. Okay, at this point, you can take the hair and tighten it up a little bit. So what I did was, I grabbed both sections and I just pulled them tight, not too tight. Make sure you check with your daughters, you're, not creating any discomfort. Okay, once you got that that's already a pretty cool hairstyle, but now let's go ahead and braid it, and for that, when I do braids I like to be. I, like the hair to be a little damp and I know you got to be gentle with damp hair, so keep that in mind, but I find that it just produces a nice clean braid and that's what we like over here there. We go perfect. Okay, so now we're gon na do is you're gon na separate this into two sections. You can go ahead and move the other section out of the way I'm gon na use the comb just to keep things nice and smooth there. We go and this way and on this side I'm going to separate this into three sections: three sections: there we go, there's one two and three all right and then from here. I need you to turn not your whole body. Just there. You go right from here. We'Re going to go ahead and start a three strand braid for that you're going to want to move your left side over the right. The position is important because you want to be able to turn your wrist and then grab the hair. With your other hand, reposition that hand then move the right side over the middle and reposition the left over middle reposition right over middle reposition, you're, going to repeat those two steps back and forth now this is all muscle memory. Once you get the hang of this, it is super easy and you don't have to go all the way down with this. I take it to about there and we're good okay. Now, what I'm going to do and attach a little elastic just going to throw it on two times just to hold that out of the way there we go now we're going to get started on this section, there's a little bit more spray, a fine-tooth comb. Keep things nice and smooth gon na separate this into three sections, so we got one there we go. They have to be somewhat even not perfect, but that's great right there. So we have three sections we're gon na do the same thing. You go left over middle reposition right over middle reposition and repeat those two steps over and over again just going to want to carry that all the way down to the bottom. There we go, and now you're gon na want to grab your little elastic just like that. Take the hair pull it a little bit more. If you need to gather it right in the center - and you want to position this and make sure that you can see tilt up there, we go. You want to position this so that it looks like a heart just like that. So if you need, if this side is too big, you can pull it down or up just to make sure that these are somewhat even remember. It doesn't have to be perfect, we're just having fun with this hairstyle and then once you're done with that position. The braid so that it lays flat you can tweak it right in the bottom elastic and there you go. We'Ve got a nice little heart elastic there, I'm going to remove that tiny elastic I put on the bottom and then just to clean things up. I'M gon na use a little bit more spray and just brush that in place. If you're dealing with a lot of flyaways, you can use a little bit of styling cream that helps you don't need to look up that much just trying to get you in position. There we go. What do you think hardstyle Valentine's Day, all right, let's do the slow rotate but make sure you chin up. Chin is up a little bit. No, no, not yeah, you're gon na follow my hand in this way. Yep. What do you think perfect right? Guys, okay, alright guys!
