Over the years my hair has definitely begun to thin out. Color, heat, extensions, poor diet at times, cheap shampoos, and honestly just my genetics as well has caused my hair to thin. However, every now and then I do get glammed up and somehow I manage to make my hair look thicker than it actually is! For those of you who have thin hair and want to learn my hair hack/tips on how to make your hair look thicker WITHOUT wearing extensions (because these contribute to thinning) here is my video! I hope you like it. And remember I DON'T do this every day or every week. Every now and then won't make me bald and if it does I'll buy a damn wig lol. Enjoy this hair tutorial and hair review.

I seriously don't have this much hair, it's crazy watch. The video you'll learn a few things. Okay, so the first thing I do is wrap my hair up in a bun after the shower, and then I go do my makeup. This allows for my hair to dry down about 25 to 30 percent, which makes blow-drying us a little bit easier and then I'm gon na part, my hair in the center. That'S how I do mine make sure to brush out any knots or tangles, I'm very careful when I do this with my hair, because it's very brittle it's very dead. It'S very broken it's fragile, so I just want to take good care of it. So I shake it out brush it out, make sure it's not knotted, and then I'm going to prep it with some heat protectant spray. Who knows if this really works but might as well use it right after I've applied my heat, protectant spray. I then use my stylist fresh start, protective, prep and primer. This is great because it keeps my hair detangle during styling and that prevents any further breakage, which is obviously something I'm trying to avoid. So I really do like this product and for my last step of prep, I like to use this stylish, sheer remedy liquid satin treatment. It'S just a really lightweight serum that I like to apply to the bottom half of my hair and especially the ends because that's where they tend to get dry all right. So it is now time to begin styling. I'M gon na be using my irresistible me black onyx blow-dryer. I like using this because it has seven different air speeds, seven different temperatures, so this really helps with wrist control and I can use it on all different kinds of hair types. So all the information for this blow dryer will be in the description box down below, but basically what I do is I flip my hair in to the opposite direction, and I use one of the nozzles to more directly blow-dry my roots. This is going to give it the illusion. You have more hair. I don't like to use a lot of products because it really makes it stiff and that just is it's not my preference. You know, but, as you guys can see, I really actually do have thinning hair. You can see my scalp it's kind of a bummer yeah. So leave me vitamin recommendations in the comment section and if you are a hair, vitamin company hit your girl up. My business email is in my description box, alright anyway, so I also flipped my hair upside down and I really try and just blow dry all my hair in the opposite direction of which it grows. Once I flip my hair back over. This is basically what it looks like sort of all kinds of crazy. I like to find my part afterwards and just kind of finger comb through it. I would like to note that I have not brushed my hair through any part of this process. I really try and avoid doing that because of breakage. So once I part my hair, I like to put it on a gentle speed and just kind of blow-dry down any extra frizz and moisture out of my hair while finger combing. I don't like to use a brush just because again my hair is very fragile. I'M not trying to break it. I'M trying to be gentle I'll also take my fingertips and I'll just kind of shake the strands loose that way the warm air gets between them and it just really dries it down and gets rid of that last bit of moisture and frizz. So once all of my hair is dry, I then use a brush to very gently brush out any knots or tangles, but during this process I do notice that my hair kind of still falls flat, even though it's been blow-dried in the opposite direction. This is because my hair is thin and there's not much to uplift it. So instead I use a dry shampoo and I just spray that all throughout the roots it kind of gives it this root lifting effect without making it's so stiff. Like other root, lifters I've used in the past, so I just spray that all throughout the roots, let it kind of soak in and really like do its thing for a minute, and then I shake it through. What using my fingers I like to avoid brushes at all costs, because can you guess it breakage so yeah I just like to shake it through and, as you guys can see, it already looks a lot more lifted and volumizing. So the next step in faking thick hair, is to curl it. I'M gon na be using my irresistible me, 8 & 1 sapphire curler, I'm gon na use the 19 millimeter attachment wand. So I just separate my hair down the middle in the back and then I'm gon na create these vertical sections by starting from the part running my finger down my hair until I reach the edge of my hairline and I'm gon na take those vertical sections, and I'M gon na curl them away from my face: wrapping it around the lawn leave it there for about three to five seconds, give or take a second or two depending on your hair type, and then once it's done, I'm going to let it go and I'm gon Na catch it in my hand, I'm gon na hold it there until I kind of feel that it's cool enough and then I'm going to just tug on the ends and throw it back when sectioning your hair, you can start from the under part of your hair Or the part it doesn't really matter which way you do it so long as you're going from parts a hairline or hairline to part. You also don't have to be super precise with it. I do mine really roughly just as long as you have a good amount of hair in each section. You should be good, so I'm gon na go ahead and speed through the rest of my hair. You guys should be able to catch. How I do this, if not rewind rewash, but I would like to mention that I don't do this to my hair every day. I don't do this to my hair every week, so for those of you who are gon na tell me that this is probably why my hair is thinning. To be honest, it probably isn't it's probably from like using cheap, shampoo and maybe a bad diet. I don't know, but it's definitely not from this, but I barely do anything in my hair. So this is what my hair looks like when I'm done curling it and to me this looks a little crazy. So I'm going to separate my hair first by finger combing through it, making sure that all the curls are separated, then for a volumizing effect, I'm going to be shaking through all the curls and I'm gon na shake through the roots, sometimes I'll, even flip. My head upside down and just shake it around because that really does volumize the look alright guys. Well, there you have my curly hair routine and how I somehow make my super thin hair, look very voluminous and, like I actually had a lot of hair. So I hope some of you thin haired, learned a few tips and tricks with the blow dryer and curling iron and products and whatever, if you guys like this video - and you want to try out this hairstyle, give it my video a thumbs up. Kara Marshall: This was super helpful, actionable, and realistic! My hair is so similar to yours and I really appreciate that you normalize that some people just having thinning hair and it’s fine (no pun intended). Thank you!

Robyn Moffat-Wall: My hair dresser showed me the trick to blow dry your hair in the opposite way it grows and I gotta say, LIFECHANGER! I’ve always had thin hair and it’s really made such a difference on a daily basis! Definitely going to try some of your tips, especially using a thinner curling wand, my current one is really thick and I lose my curl faster I think

Erin Taylor: My hairdresser suggested prenatals (it's been falling out since my daughter was 4 months old) and brushing against the scalp to increase blood flow. You could try one of those scalp massagers. Lately I've been using head and shoulders once a week to unclog anything weird going on. I live in the south, so sweat is just part of life and it feels a little dandruffy or icky. Maybe also have your thyroid checked. I believe that being out of whack can also cause hair loss. I follow a few people who sell plexus and they have been saying that it helps improve your guy health which can balance your skin, hair, nails, make you feel better, just everything. I've tried the drink supplement and it's pretty awesome, but they also have good vitamins and A TON of information on their website. They're very open about what's in their products, so I'd say give them a shot.

Gamehavenly: Massage an egg into your hair before you wash it let it sit for 5munutes repeat every time you shower or wash your hair you should see better results within a few days

Yaya Mimi: Thanks for the tips. You've got yourself a new sub

MAROUA MARWA: YOUR hair just like mine im glad to see that you look gorgeous

Anela momto9praying4more: My hair is thinning also, I believe from me giving birth to 9 children and my age. Ugh :-(

Tracy Pfau: Nice "how to" - pretty. Thinning hair is usually inherited. Alopecia is also inherited.

Lydia Strong: You say that brushing it causes breakage, but if you’re using multiple heat products every day, that could be doing a lot of damage. Brushing your hair stimulates the follicles to grow and also spreads the natural oils through. I have thinning hair dye to a medical condition and I’ve stopped using heat products entirely and now wash it only 2-3 times a week. I rely heavily on dry shampoo for volume. Has worked well for me. Just a tip!

Grace Lamonte: Adding dry shampoo to your roots can actually make your hair fall out more.

BelleDeJour224: Your hair is not that thin I have half the hair you have

sofía: Vitamin B12, Biotin and Collagen all in liquid sublingual form. It will do wonders for your hair. You can also try sublingual liquid iron but I prefer capsules because I cannot for the life of me stomach liquid iron. It tastes like blood.

Raji Kaur: wow nice....im definitely trying :)

Anna Simon: I have overall healthy hair as I never use heat on it however I have iron deficiency anemia so I constantly have to pick her out my hair brush or find it all over my room/clothes. Someone help

BunnyTheRoseBear: did u just call me a bi- okay anyway i have super thick hair but when i flatten it out it looks super thin, i've been doing beach waves and they make my hair look more full! good tip for anyone with any hair type :) here's another few tips! also take vitamins with keratin! i was born (cursed) with a crap ton of keratin, and it's definitely made my hair longer and thicker. also, don't use perms or heat more than once a week. use heat protectants. and don't wash so frequently! hope this helps anyone, this is just my experiences over the last 2 years of going natural :)

Ms. Roll Tide256: Check your iron levels, ferritin levels in specific. A lot of us women lose our hair due to that and doctors know about it but for some reason they don’t pinpoint it as that but more like everything but that! So ferritin levels, my hair has been falling out since I was 15 and I’m 35 my hair has been falling out more than ever, even more than when I was on chemotherapy. And I now know it’s my iron levels! When iron ferritin levels are low, oxygen cannot be used in our follicle scalp area because it’s being used other important places causing our follicles to close up. I also have extremely heavy periods which causes iron to be low ☹️ I would research the ferritin levels and hair loss in women, I’m not saying that’s every woman’s problem but it just may be quite a few!

noriakikakyoin: Omg... my hair is thin and straight and just down right BORING. Lol, just trying to shake up my look :)

fire zone: Amazing

Alyssa Coghan: So how many times a week should I do this then???

ani n01: I always thought it's damaging to use heat over dry shampoo or anything powdery?

Alisa Karter: Thanx Shelly, Now I'll try it without some new hair extensions and half-wigs

Imelda Barron: I've always heard dry shampoo is good for volume but everyone I've tried makes it look greasy

Lydia Wilkes: i have kelp supplements it not only makes your hair thicker but your eyebrows and eyelashes too! why not just avoid using heat? let it air dry and if you want it curled, braid it, especially when its wet it is a lifesaver for me!!

kikyoinuyasha123: Omg I have the same hair now but my hairline is receding :(

AiswaryA ._.: I'm Soooo happy to see someone havin hair that's kinda same as mine Cute

Inesa Gelezele: Wash it 1-2 times a week and sometimes don’t wash your hair for even a week the natural hair oils that your hair produces is the type oil that suits you best and no product you buy will ever be able to replicate the natural oils your head makes for you itself so let your oils sit in your hair I’m a bleached blonde and I’ve been dying my hair for 5 years and I went from box black dye to platinum blonde and even my hairdresser is surprised that my hair is still in such good condition it’s not as thick as it could be naturally but I’ve no frizz no gummy hair and I don’t need to straighten my hair like other bleach blondes do so the best way to keep your hair healthy is just to let your body take care of it and once every two months don’t wash your hair minimum for 1 week try longer if you can put it in a messy bun (no dry shampoo it dries out the oils )

d. H: I have thin hair bc of dying it all the time, what should i do???

Ryna forthfiffy: What spray you use?

Runa Eiliyah: U shudnt brush ur hair whilst wet its very frsgile and at its weakest then

Mr Jack: Good advice, but i wont be using the styling products.

Lilli Boyd: You are SO pretty!

Kaminoneh Bhoot: Do you have pcos? That tends to thin out our hair

Humera Shaikh: Girl just apply onion juice twice a week

Cwsing 7: Don’t worry girls about not having much hair many blokes have no hair! EAT HEALTHY INSTEAD!!!!

Maddie Lynne: this is....... a look

Monica Sinha: i really want to suggest u a good hormone profile..... go for it... hormone is the only reason for hair loss n thinnning... i had the same problem. n believe me it worked... i tried everything n failed..... also include some exercise but mild .. good 7hr sleep ... early to bed n early to rise... n also include some good food items lije fruits fish flax seed dry fruits ... water..

Amin Batada: Main yha apne thick hair ko thin kaise karna hai voh soch rhi hu
