What is good, guys is ida, and i am back. It has been a long time every time that i take a bit of a hiatus that song always comes to mind that aliyah someone should been a long time. I should have left. You left you with that adult feet to step to step two. It'S been a long time and i apologize um. A lot of you guys can tell, but the background has in fact changed because we have moved houses. My husband and i have moved into a flat together, um and a lot of things have been happening over the past few months. So hopefully i can update you on my life at some point, but i thought i would come back with a hair tutorial, because why not one of the hairstyles that i've been seeing everywhere is the heart braids. So i thought i would show you guys how to do the heart braids on your own natural hair, because you know i may just do my own natural, hair and i'll also be filming a video of me doing my whole hair. So once i do the tutorial on how to do the heart on this side of my hair, i'm just going to film myself doing the rest of my hair and upload that, as a watch me cornrow, my own natural hair, video that you guys seem to like. So i'll be doing that soon, it'll be up either next saturday or tuesday. I can't remember my schedule exactly but i'll be back. I have all of december's videos planned. I'M here guys don't know for how long, as always, i'm using a rat tail comb and some hair bands which have hair all over it i'll also be using some hair clips, probably one. But i've got two just in case as well as a curved needle and some thread, and also making sure that my hair is nice and detangled with a wide tooth comb. My hair is actually blow-dried right now, i don't know if you can tell because it wasn't. Some flats, but it is pretty much detangled, but i'm just going to go through, come it out. I actually trimmed it the other day. It just looks so big and poofy. Our hair naturally has dips and curves in the hairline, and what you want to do is find the part where it naturally kind of bends in um, which is usually around the middle of your eyebrow. So i'm going to go in there and then just do a little part, so i can see what i'm doing and i'm just gon na try to make it about approximately this size. This is just a quick rafting just so i can get my guidelines there. So i'm just gon na loosely tie my hair out of the way and then we're going to start making the c shape. So you want to kind of use the corner to then curve in from the corner inwards and then another shape there using my ratchet tail. I'M just going to bring it around and curve it in like, so i'm just going to keep going until i'm happy with the way that the shape looks. I want that curve to just end right in that corner of my head. Remember i have got parting tutorials and cornrow tutorials in case you guys are struggling with that. Don'T worry! I shall oil, my scalp again once i've done the part. So that's my first half and then we're gon na do the second half coming from about there and uh. The reason why i loosely tied my hair so that i can grab any extra bits that i need, and you want to bring the end of your curve back to almost where your ear starts pretty much. Okay, as you can see, there's a little bit of a point here. I want to make this more rounded and in before i do that i'm going to go in with some olive oil. This is just olive oil in the melon hair care container. If you guys have been watching me for a while you'll know that most of the products i use are natural, i don't really use that much like gel and stuff when i'm cooling, my hair only because i didn't grow up using that, and i just i mean I know it makes it look neater, but build up, isn't cute either perfect, just keep going until i can get it as perfect as possible or as perfect as i'm happy with get it out of the way. While i tight the rest of my hair to make sure that my hair does not get in the way, once you have your shape and you're happy with it, you're going to need to put a line straight down from where your little point is at the top. To the point at the bottom, so where that bit ends here, you want to put it down there. So, as you can see, you now have two halves like so like that, and i'm just going to twist this one out of the way and clip it. Okay, so next you want to make a diagonal part. You want to make sure that the part kind of starts right at that corner where your hairline is and go straight, diagonally down like that and now what this part is going to do, you're going to be you're, going to corner it upwards here and then bring It round and down very similar to how i did the um, like the zigzag, cornrows, the ones that go like round: swirly, swirly ones where you're basically parting the lines and you're going around and you're following it down. So that's literally what we're doing and i'm just going to because i'm not using any hair product or any gel or anything, i'm just going to quickly like twist this out the way really loosely. So i don't pick up any stray hairs just like that, and the position of your hands is really important. So how i'm going to start off? I'M going to start off like this with my hands like kind of they're facing the camera facing outwards so they're, going to cornrow like this and then once i get here, i'm going to turn it and then you're going to come right. That you're, literally your hands, are in the direction of the way that you want the cornrow to go so you're gon na want it here, starting at the end here all the way down, and then once you get there, you turn them around, and it's going in That direction, so i will get started. I'M gon na go right in this corner. I'M not doing any stitch phrase you guys know. I don't know how to do stitch words. I still need to learn that stuff, but in that corner here and if you wanted - you could add extensions but, like i said i am doing my own natural hair, so i like to keep it all pretty natural, just gon na pick up small pieces of hair At a time, i know a lot of you struggle with how much hair you need to pick up, so i might do a tutorial on that. Actually, just when you're cornrowing like how much hair to pick up each time and once you're almost at the top, i'm gon na unloosen or unloose, i'm gon na loosen that and then start to curve it round. So when i'm curving, i'm picking up the hair underneath slowly piece by piece and i'm bringing it around and your aim is to end up at this end there right here, that's what your direction is so you're kind of going diagonally again, it kind of looks like A stitch braid i was on not on purpose like i said. Your aim is to end up right at that point here and then you just continue your braid down. So that's that side down and we're literally going to do the same thing on the other side. But we're going to use this line here as our guide, so we need to do it exactly the same but across at that same angle, yeah. That'S all right! I'M happy with that! So now my hands are facing this way. They'Re like this up and then i'm gon na, come around and bring it down again to this point right here, picking the very corner, thin piece of hair, as you can see and start in that corner and as you reach that curve just loosen that up start To feel underneath, where you need to pick up it's there, it's a bit trickier when you're coming back down this way. You might want to pause and reposition your hands. Sorry, i'm going to stop right. There reposition my hands and come down this way, just because of the bend was very awkward. I feel like there might have been less hair on this side that might be okay and then continue your braid down and now to have it so that the heart is kind of closed and they almost cross over. We can hold it there and use our needle and thread to just pin them together a bit so that they can stay like this. I probably need some scissors that should be a new list of things to have as well some scissors and because my hair is dark, i'm going to use some dark thread fold it over then just go in between the two of them and pull it until the Thread is almost done there and then just to go in again just about four of them. I'D say: i'm just gon na go in from this angle. How many was that three, i think three might be enough, then we're just gon na somehow cut it. Is it gon na cut with my hair, and this is one second just cut it, and then i'm just gon na give it a little knot here, a couple of those knots and then cut it there we have it. So that is the end of my how to do a heart, braid, i'm going to now finish off the rest of my hair film, that for you and upload it in a couple of days, so stay tuned, make sure your notification bells are turned on. So you can be notified every time i post and also make sure you are subscribed and give this video a big thumbs up. If you found it helpful until next time guys, peace, love and life
