Hey guys welcome back to my channel thanks for tuning in to episode 7 of my quarantine, washday series, so yeah we've made it the episode 7 um today's a Friday, I'm filming on Fridays and I've been kind of counting quarantine by Friday's. So, for me this is the 8th Friday that I have been inside staying indoors. That'S how I'm counting I'm counting my Fridays, so I know that it's been eight weeks and June's coming and June's coming summer is officially here um but yeah. You know, I don't know how the summers looking y'all, I have a July birthday and I was hoping that maybe you know I'm saying we could have gatherings by then, but it ain't looking too hot cuz, I'm still doing my quarantine wash day. I don't know how long it's going to last, I'm just gon na be honest with y'all. I have a lot of work coming my way and I'm different brands that want to collab and it's I have a lot of filming to do, but I still want to put on my quarantine washday. I appreciate all the support I've gotten so far. It'S been such a good series. I never thought it would be as successful as it is um, but you know here we are so right now. This is an old braid out. Oh also, I wanted to mention that there was not a 7-day update for the curling clip-ins, because I am leaving clip-ins in my hair for seven days. Okay, but I will post a picture of what my hair looked like the day after because I did sleep with with the clippings in so I will post that after picture, so for today's quarantine, washing episode. What I want to do is a rubberband hairstyle and it's gon na be pretty simple. I'M gon na be doing like the crisscross rubberband situation in the front and then I'll have my hair out in the back. That'S what I want my end goal to be so I'm thinking I'm gon na do the crisscross in the front right the front section and then in the back I'll, do a braid out and really fluff it up and stretch it out to where it almost looks. Like really big - and you know we'll see what happens when I get there, but that is the plans for this wash day, so I'm gon na do a cute little hairstyle, the products that I'll be using. So I won't be using shampoo this time, but I will be using this coconut mint curl Refresh clay wash from flora and curl. So this is a curl refresh clay wash and I did do the Aztec length hair mask. So this one is coconut mint, hair masque. So that's what I'll be using to cleanse my hair and I'll get into the directions and all of that later in this video um next, I will be conditioning with naturally boundless sweet, mint smoothie, so I'll do a nice little detangle using a conditioner and then to Style, I will be using these pure flaxseed gels from curl mix. This one is the moisturizing organic jojoba oil, lavender fragrance lavender, fragrance lavender fragrance, and this is the organic argan oil lemon cream of fragrance so and this one is to soften hair. So this one is some oyster eyes and this one is to soften, so I'm gon na use both of them, because I want moisture and softness so this these are the only two parts that I'll be using to a style for the crisscross and also for the Part in the back - that's just gon na - be out in nice and big and voluminous so I'll also be using some edge control for the crisscross part, and I'm using the alkane Naturals lemongrass slay and lay is Jill alright. So it looks like I have something on my hair, but I don't it's the old product that was in it. I have not applied anything to my hair, yet all I did was jump in the shower in wet it, so this is just putting water on my hair. There'S nothing on my hair, okay! So now, let's get into this coconut mint, curl, refresh clay wash by flora and curl. So it says want to press reset on your curls, treat your curls and scalp to are curl friendly, super gentle clay wash formula this cleansing treatment is formulated to detox and clarify buildup of product from the hair and scalp exfoliate. The scalp reactivate your curl pattern, while refreshing, your curls all, naturally ideal for all curl types, kinky, curly and wavy. Okay, I like that little description right there that was cute directions in a small bowl mix. Two tablespoons of powder, with six tablespoons of warm water to freshly activate the treatment, apply the mixture to your hair and roots and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes under a plastic cap. Rinse it out thoroughly with warm water and be amazed, use every three to four weeks. Alright, so for best results apply on damp already detangled, hair and sections. Then twist away, you know knot it. So I'm gon na go ahead and mix up my concoction and start applying this core fresh clay wash all right. So I mixed mine and it looked like lumpy. It looks like a lumpy oatmeal, kinda sorta. It doesn't look very appetizing, not that it's supposed to, but you know it's just very clumpy and lumpy. Let'S just say that, so I must split my hair into a few sections and apply this clay crow wash so this week. I think I mixed it correctly. Oops. You can see I have like clumps like in my hands, I'm pretty sure I picked it correctly. Ah, I'm pretty sure I did all you do is add water. All you do is add water. It says two tablespoons of powder and six tablespoons of warm, oh yeah. Well, I didn't do warm water, okay, it should work regardless, okay, no, but honestly, going on it's not that bad. It has really good slit and almost like, I can like detangle my hair with this. Whenever I do these clay masks, I feel like they always like super stretch out my hair, and I can really see just how much length I have so. I feel like this clay. Like the clay masks, I don't know what it is about them, but I guess it just weighs down your hair so much that you can like truly see just how long your hair is. So I'm not getting a coconut vibe from this, but I definitely do smell the mint and I thought I'm getting like lime. Like coconut, I mean not coconut, but I felt I'm getting like um lime mint like Miss in line. That'S what I'm getting like a lemony scent all right, so this clay mask is actually really a really thick. It'S said to leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. So that's what I'm gon na do then. I'M gon na rinse and I'll be back to condition that my hair all right. So I rinsed out the curl clay wash and I thought, since it was so clumpy and thick, it was gon na get stuck in my hair and I was gon na have to shampoo it out, but it actually just rinsed right out of my hair and my Hair is actually pretty defined and looking nice and shiny and healthy. So yes, I'm feeling the curl wash I'm feeling the coconut curl wash, commissioner, has a really good slip. Um I've used it quite a few times. That'S good slip and I love the sweet. Mint smoothie smell it's very minty and refreshing, oh, and just like that, my hair is detangle, look at it, okay, not really, but like for real all right. So I section my hair applied my conditioner and detangled, so I'm going to let this sit for about five minutes. It'S not going to do too long of a detangle. I mean of a deep condition today, but yeah. We done we're gon na. Let the product work in for a good five minutes, and then I will rinse and get into styling all right. So I finished conditioning - and this sweetness movie is seriously like one of my favorite after uncle bunkies rich and funky conditioner, this Sweetman smoothie, the slip is incredible that just the way that it detangles my hair so easily, and I just love how soft it is. It'S like ultra moisturizing, like don't sleep, don't sleep, but now we are going to get into a styling, my hair. So, like I said I will be using a pure flaxseed gel from Crowe mix. To do this entire hair style. You are going to need a rat tail comb and some black rubber bands or whatever color you prefer and a little bit of edge control. So I will also be using in the alkane Naturals lemongrass edge control, like my scalp, is still tingling from the. What is it tea tree? Where is in here something making my mouth Scout? Tingle like tea tree oil or pepper? Oh yeah, peppermint oil. I got peppermint oil in it man. I got my hair, it's core! Oh yes, for hair growth. Is me playing of karlby. Alright, let's get into E, so the first thing I'm gon na do for this style is part. My hair, so um you are gon na, want a middle part and mine has just maintained through wash day, so I'm going to neaten it up so once I have that, I'm going to part all the way down and behind the ears all right. So I have my hair parted down to the ear on both sides, and I just put the rest back. So it's not in the way. First, I'm going to focus on this side, so I'm going to go ahead and wrap this side up. So I'm gon na take my rat tail comb and I'm going to split this right above my edges. So what you're gon na do with this piece is again split it down the middle one last time, so I'm just going to take a bobby, pin and pin this back. While I focus on this all right so now that I've gotten this far, I'm going to take my flaxseed gels, my soften and moisturizing gels, and I'm going to go ahead and apply them all right. So now I'm going to flip this down the middle and tie both of these into their own separate ponytails, all right. So I have two so far and I'm going to repeat that with this next section, so all I'm doing is putting a little bit of edge control on the front squares so on this square. The square, but not the back squares now to make sure edges is laid all right. So I have one section done: I've got all four in the rubber bands and what I'm gon na do next. Is I'm going to take this I'm going to crisscross them? So I'm going to tie this one to this one and this one to this one and make the crisscross all right. So I'm going to repeat those same steps across all of these so by time I'm done. I should have four of these, so this is the first one that this would be the second one and then, of course, there'll be two more over here, so it now that I have the front completely done. All I'm going to do is just braid up everything. I'M going to braid the hair from the front and also the hair from the back. So probably when my braid out gets old, I might do like some cute bun styles just to show off the front because it is so cute. That'S definitely a look but um for right now, like I said, I'm just going to braid up all of this on my braids aren't going to be anything special, I'm just going to irregularly braid with my flexi gels and since my hair dried up, I'm going to Add water all right, so I thought my hair all braided up and of course, once my braids dry I'll be back to take them out and do the final look okay, so all of my braids are out - and this looks so cute y'all, like oh, my gosh. So now I'm going to separate this and fluff it out and pick it out all right. I have fluffed my hair and just to reduce some of the frizziness I added. I did my little trick that I always do you guys. So I added just a little bit of curling gel on the ends. This helmet, with a soft hold gel just like kept that body in that volume. So the last step is to just pick it out and make it even bigger than it already is. Here is my final look totally obsessed with this hairstyle y'all like bomb okay day, one bomb okay like like I'm, definitely saving this one. For another time we got ta quarantine because Oh cute, what I absolutely love this hairstyle, I'm so pleased with the way it came out. I have a really good body on day one I really wanted to stretch it out and have a nice shape on with this. Pretty crisscross design in the front, so I hope you guys enjoyed episode 7 of this quarantine wash day series comment below what you think about this hairstyle.
