Hey lovelies welcome to my channel. My name is alexandria, monet and in this video i am going to show you guys how i'm going to do cardi b swoop, bang hairstyle on my natural hair. So this is going to be a natural hairstyle. So, let's get into it and see if we can do it so the first step for this hairstyle that i'm going to be doing is i'm first, i'm starting off on an old twist out that i have you can see it's had his day and i'm carving Out this horseshoe in my head - and i don't want you to worry too much about the parting here, because we're going to get into that in a moment - i'm just pulling out the amount of hair that i need. So here is where i'm going ahead and i am going to kind of brush out my hair or comb out my hair as best as i can, and the reason for this is our. If you see cardi b's swoop, bang you know, obviously she is wearing a lace front or a. It could be her own straight natural hair, but you know we're not starting off on straight hair, so we do want to comb. Our kind of you know natural curls out just a little bit and we want to have a nice slick. Look. So that's what i'm doing here so after i combed out my hair, the front part i'm going to divide this section in the middle. So i take my rat tail comb and i'm making a part straight down the middle, and this is very important because this is going to be how we're going to do our heart in two parts. So here i'm starting off on one side of my head and i am parting, the top of the heart that nice curve there just a little bit of hair at a time. Okay, so you just really want to take your time and make sure that your parts are. You know, as i don't want to say, as straight, but as curved as possible, that mimics the specific heart shape that you're going for. So that's what i'm doing here, just really taking my time and making sure that my parts are as straight or as curved and as crisp as possible, especially on this side of my head, because this is going to be where the parting starts for my swoop. Bang. So understand that, where your swoop bang would start is going to be one side of the heart, so as i continue to go, that's you'll see that so this is half of the heart. As you can see it's, you know it's kind of already. Looking like half of a heart which is nice, so i'm going to go ahead and twist this section of my swoop bang up and i'm going to go ahead and start on the other side with the same process all right. So this is the last parting that i'm doing on the other side of my heart, which is where my swoop heart-shaped bang, is going to kind of cover up. So this is it. This is our heart kind of divided in tune, but will soon be one alright. So trying to think about what i'm going to do to the back of my head, i thought boop, i'm gon na do a slick back ponytail, so this whole look and idea. Um really was inspiration of cardi b, because i just kind of got in the bathroom and did my own thing. So here is where i'm kind of plotting and planning, and so when i took out my uh, the hair that i'm using here for my soup, bang, that is in the heart shape. I realized i'm like okay, i'm gon na have to comb this out again, um because again you know we want it to be, as i guess, slick as possible, but also have that kinky natural texture, which we are naturally going to have um so yeah, and with That texture - i know you saw the product that i used was gorilla snot, and this is what i typically use when i am doing like a slick back ponytail or you know anything, i decide to lay my hair down. I'M definitely going to use that product. So this is me brushing the product in because you know i want it as smooth as possible as as smooth as my natural hair can get, and i really want it to be smooth as well. So you can see the parts you can see the heart, as you know, as clearly as possible. So with this, if you guys do try this hairstyle out and get to this step, this is going to take patience in time. This is probably obviously the hardest part. It'S the main part, and it's the hardest part, is to make sure that our hair is laying flat enough. That way, you can actually see the heart um in your hair. So this is what i learned to take the edge that's going to be covered up by the swoop to kind of take that edge and tuck it. In that way, our heart doesn't look, half done, okay, so really grab as much as that as you can. So it kind of really defines our heart. That'S a really important part for this hairstyle that i notice, especially if you're doing it on natural hair. You want that area to not lift you don't want it to look too puffy, so yeah and that's gon na i. I believe that's gon na make or break um how your heart does turn out so with some practice, because it did take me a little while to get it with some practice. It'Ll turn out very beautiful, so i used a bobby pin to pin that swoop to the side and i grabbed a hair tie that way i can secure the excess hair that was in my swoop into my ponytail. So that's what i'm doing here so now that everything is set in place, we're going to lay it down with a scarf for a few moments and get ready and come back and take it off to see what we have and um yeah. So this is what we ended up with. This is our heart and i truly love it. I was a little skeptical about doing this hairstyle on my natural hair, but i'm so glad that i did and i cannot wait to wear it out. I absolutely loved how my heart came out and how my slick back ponytail came out as well. Just the whole style is really beautiful and elegant, and i will definitely be doing it again, especially during the month of february so yeah. This is the style, and i really hope that you guys like this style, and i hope that you guys try this style. This cardi b inspired natural hairstyle emphasis on natural, because that is what we are rocking our natural hair, so yeah. I hope you guys like this video and comment and subscribe, and i will see you guys in the next one bye. Oh
