Locs are the ultimate protective style right? I half considered getting sister locs in my teenage years. Meet Robert, a man who prooves that only there really isn’t a limit to how long locs can grow. He’s actually had to cut a small amount four times in his life to keep his locs from hitting the ground!

Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed? Natural

What’s your story, how did you get to where you are? I am a former Columbia Recording Artist and have had long hair for many years. Basically, it started from having a hairstyle that the labels wanted to look like Rick James and Stevie Wonder. I did these looks but eventually developed a longer look of my own. My hair continued to grow.

What is your regimen at the moment? I keep it washed, I use Mane ‘ n Tail Shampoo (Believe it or not) and Ultra Sheen.

And your favourite product? Mane n Tail Shampoo

What’s your signature style? Ponytail

What is the best tip you have learned to protect your ends? Since my hair is in a pony tail which then goes into braids and beads, the ends are always protected.
