Top 10 Products In July 2012

I was glad to see the APHOGEE* Serious Care & Protection Hair Care Kit knock Mega Tek off the top spot last month! It’s actually part of the reason why I decided to do the recent Aphogee giveaway.

I wouldn’t exactly call this a trend but in the last couple of months I have noticed a move away from the curl enhancing products like KCCC with you guys favoring flat irons* and anti humectants.

I wouldn’t say that it’s a worrying trend, rather an eyebrow raising one. It would seem that a lot of newly naturals are getting bored of wearing curly styles and want to experiment with straighter looks. I’m a fan of straightening my own hair too but when I see so many products that practically scream ‘MANIPULATION’, I feel there will be below average length retention for some of you this month . . . tut tut

You can flat iron* your natural hair when it is cooler, in any case you are more likely to keep a press longer in the cooler months! Relaxed ladies, stick with roller-setting or air-drying for the summer. All you need is a good leave in conditioner.
