Jesse Boykins III Has Some Seriously Gorgeous Natural Hair

From time to time on Instagram, we will post a picture of a guy with some crazy gorgeous natural hair. Don’t you hate it when you talk to a guy about his hair and he says something short of Beyonce’s “I woke up Like Dis….I woke up like Dis” Jesse Boykin’s is a soul artist hailing from the Windy City, Chicago. His music career started at age 9 and his hair journey started at 17 back in 2002.

In terms of his music, Jesse has one of the smoothest voices that I have heard in a long time, his music is easy going and chill, the kind of music that can pretty much transcend his generation.

Along with his music he is known for his natural hair and he had the opportunity to share with Ebony Online a few details about his regimen which we thought were well worth repeating.

He describes his hair as ‘wild and free’ and without a doubt we would have to agree, it’s gorgeous and he wears it in an effortless kind of way that makes you instantly have hair envy.

He said:

There are things you do when becoming a man like grow out a beard. It’s satisfied a certain desire to be looked at as a king and I felt my hair represented that for me. It made me feel good and I never stopped cutting it.

As with every guy that has gorgeous hair Jesse achieves his signature look with a simple regimen. His hair is done by his own personal stylist who uses her own handmade shampoo infused with peppermint* and conditioner made from garlic.
