New Years Hair Resolutions 2014

New years resolution natural hair

I am not a resolutions kind of girl; at least I wasn’t until my son was born. It’s funny how your life changes after you meet your children, how discerning you become. If you never had birthday parties suddenly you feel like celebrating every year, putting up a Christmas tree is a must, seeing fireworks is suddenly even more amazing than they used to be and starting traditions and making memories are a new normal.

With that said as we look forward to 2014 we have some time to reflect on 2013, what we have accomplished, our challenges and opportunities giving us an almost perfect perspective on what we want from the New Year.

Here on BHI we do the same thing, we have a ton of goals for the blog, and a positive outlook for the new year which we could share but frankly that might be tad bit too much for this post.

Here is what we decided do, in the spirit of all things hair we thought it would be interesting to come up with a hair resolutions post. A hair resolutions post is simply the resolutions or goals that you have for your hair for the next year.

Ready to play? I will start with three of mine.

1. Protect and Serve – This resolution is based on anticipation of a very active year, physically and mentally. Sometimes the best thing for our hair is how we treat our bodies generally; if you have growth goals then paying attention to how you serve your body is just as important as how you treat your hair. Physically protecting your hair during activities only comes natural.

2. Consistency – Doing the same thing over and over again in some circles is boring, but not when it comes to hair care. If you know the formula for healthy hair then stick to it, allow it to really take your hair to lengths it has never been before.

3. Ayurveda – Have you tried this yet? I have dabbled a bit in Ayurveda and we have written about it extensively here on the blog. The idea that you can improve your hair using all natural powders and oils* is fascinating to me, so for my third resolution I hope to practice it more often.

Naila1908 from YouTube shared her hair resolutions recently and we thought it was a pretty good video, check it out below and after you watch, share with us what your hair resolutions are and how you plan to achieve them.
