Nicki Minaj Shows Off Her Straight “Natural" Hair While Taking A Shower
Nicki Minaj has always been very adamant about not having any chemicals or relaxers or anything done to her hair, am I right? I looked at the pics she posted on instagram recently and while I love her hair, I was thinking, where is her curl pattern?
Judging by the pictures this hair looks like straight up relaxed hair but I will let you all be the judge. Either way our celebs seemed a little obsessed with showing off their ‘natural hair’ on Instagram and twitter lately, and we have been very entertained to say the least.
We like taking pictures of ourselves too so we can identify with the selfie phenomenon, even though we might throw shade on a celeb when they do it especially when it comes to hair.
We did a post just this week on Angela Simmons, and we thought her hair looked gorgeous and believed that her hair was real. Many of us may remember seeing pictures of Angela’s massive afro that she shared last year so it stands to reason her hair would be pretty long when flat ironed, right? Well many of our readers cried foul citing the obvious fact that Angela usually wears a weave*. Errm ok.
Even though this post is not about Angela, we must admit the reactions to celebrity hair posts are quite interesting, and I’m pretty sure that they will be this time too with Nicki’s recent expose, in more ways than one.
Nicki took a lot of pictures this time round and we couldn’t help but wonder why she chose to do the selfies in the shower or what was different this time from the last two times she did it.
Perhaps she is probably tired of being doubted about her real hair being that long? Well we believe you Nicki, we really do! The shower pics might be the icing on the cake, or the nail in the coffin because it opens up another case: Where are her curls?
Before you say anything we are well aware that some black people have naturally straight hair, we only ask because I’m sure you will agree that curly hair is the norm for majority of black or biracial women. Nicki has never stated one way or the other if hers is naturally straight or not but of course it may very well be.
For now though, when it comes to her length I am a believer, but where are her curls?

It appears that Nicki has actually relaxed her hair based on what she said on twitter:

So it appears that Ms Minaj is no longer natural but she clearly cares for her hair really well underneath all her wigs* and I can totally understand the time constraints with caring for natural hair, particularly when you are as busy superstar! Do you ma!
