Do you catch Arsenio? I thought I wouldn’t watch it like I used to but every night at 10 while I am working the television magically turns on with his big mouth blaring through our speakers. Well he has grown on me and on Friday night he had Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris as a guest and get this, it looked like she was rocking her natural hair.

Of course Arsenio asked her about the rumors about her marriage breaking up, we would have asked her the same thing, and probably a little bit about her hair but hey he went for the ratings and we cant blame him. (Like she really gonna tell him on some random Friday night, but I digress).

Before the show though Tiny decided to get a little glam glam treatment from the curl doctor himself Shai Ameil, who did Tamera Mowry’s big chop. He gave Tiny a shape up and removed a lot of her heat damaged ends. Her hair looked so much better and he gave her curls life and her hair style looked really great on Arsenio.

Hey sometimes you have to start fresh especially if you decide you really want to rock your hair in the healthiest state, so we aren’t mad at Tiny, its a great example to set as well. Tiny got what is called a Deva Cut and if you do not know what that is, its basically cutting your curly hair dry and un-stretched instead of stretched and blunt.

The cutting technique was created and trade marked by Lorraine Massey and has been pretty popular amongst curly girls. It is pretty cool because it takes into consideration how your hair naturally hangs, and the curls are cut individually to give the hair a really great shape so there are no surprises when you wash it and it drys.

The Capella salon is in Los Angeles and Shai is described as the owner and master cutter there, he also has mastered Lorraine Massey’s Deva cut cut which he gave to Tiny.

We love it, did you catch Tiny on Arsenio? What did you think of her hair? see below:
