Chrisette Michele Wows Instagram With Fabulous Havana Twists

Don’t you just love a stunning selfie? Chrisette Michele gave life to her instagram page recently as she got ready for a stellar performance in Atlanta. She wore a floral dress, some classic Calvin Klein bangles and an epic bun done with havana twists that we aren’t used to seeing her with since she mostly wears her blonde pixie.

Her hair was done by none other than the fabulous Dr. Kari, who does an awesome job every time, I swear if I ever go to Atlanta which might be soon, I will have to find her salon. Her caption for the above picture was:

We cant lie and say this is the first time we have seen her braids, because she has been posting quite a few pictures on her instagram page with the same hair and a variety of looks. Some just as stunning as the one above so of course we might as well share them all right?

We think Chris is partial to the high bun look, and for a night out, a concert or a casual day outfit the bun totally works. Personally whenever I have braids or twist extensions* and that is definitely not often, I found that wearing them out was just not appealing. I prefer a simple ponytail which was my favorite to do, or the high bun like Chrisette’s.

The side ponytail look was kinda cute, I probably wouldn’t have tried it but it worked for her and her outfit. Chrisette described that paticular look as #grannychic which was quite funny, probably due to the skirt below her knees and the high waist belt thing, but it obviously worked with the side ponytail.
