Hair Stylist Ran Over By Client When She Tried To Confront Her About Skipping On Her Bill

hair stylist“I do not know what our world is coming to”, I think I have said that every day this week just from watching the news to reading disturbing articles like this one.

When you go out to receive a service, why do you think it is ok to bail on paying your bill? According to WCNC Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested and charged Champagne Williams who decided to run over and drag 38 year old Naiday Nangui with her car.

Nangui is a stylist who works at a African Hair Braiding Salon in North Carolina. She spent 6 hours braiding William’s hair but when it was time to pay they had a disagreement about the amount.

Nangui quoted Williams an amount of $180 but her client claimed she only had $160 and was waiting on a friend to bring the extra $20.

Of course like all made up stories, this imaginary friend never came and Williams tried to leave without paying. Nangui did something that I think in retrospect she probably would not have done. She ran towards Williams car before she closed the door to her vehicle.

Accoring to Nangui’s husband

“When she went outside, she was close to the door and she backed up the car and she dragged my wife all over the road,” said Mr. Nangui. She can go to the jail and she needs to go to the jail because what I think– it’s where she belongs. It’s not smart; it’s not really smart to do so.”

We are so sad this happened to this stylist because even though it is just $20.00 you expect to be paid for the service you provide.

If you cannot afford the service, that is ok, just come when you have the payment and the tip. Williams has been charged with two counts of hit-and-run personal injury and theft which probably will not cover the amount of emotional and physical trauma this stylist went through.

Such a shame! Check out the video below (Flash):
