Cynthia Bailey Takes A Break From Her Weaves And Shows Off Her Real Hair On Instagram

Ever wonder what the big deal was about celebs taking ‘real hair’ selfies? Well in my opinion it is sort of a catch 22 for the celeb because on one hand you get a ton of likes and interest because most people are so used to seeing the enhancements its almost a breath of fresh air to see the real deal.

Then on the other hand you kind of question if people prefer the ‘real you’ over the ‘enhanced you’. Maybe thats a bit too deep for this post but that is what I thought about when I saw Cynthia Baileys latest ‘real hair selfie’.

According to her post, Cynthia is taking a much needed weave break and she is opting for wigs instead. God forbid her real hair should ever make an appearance other than the one picture she posted on the gram. Her caption:

Taking a much needed weave break! I try to do this every 3 months but I am usually too busy working & traveling to commit. This is what my hair looks like right now.

As you can see it is growing but my leave out (WHICH IS DYED BLOND TO BLEND IN WITH MY BLOND EXTENSIONS*) & edges are a little stressed damaged. I just washed, conditioned & put it in 2 ponytails. AirDry not blow dry!

I love changing my hair up and weaves* and wigs* are the quickest ways to get different looks. However, I always want to make sure my natural hair is strong and healthy.

I highly suggest taking a weave break ladies! Even if it’s only for a couple of weeks. I’m going to try to do 2 months. Found some great wigs* for work that I can take off at night to get me thru?Just wanted to share?The hair struggle is real?#hairqueen #hairfinity*
