How To Get Vibrant Highlights Without Damaging Your Hair

I tried this myself a while back and I really did enjoy wearing it, I felt like a Rock star gangsta boo with my blue streaks secretly knowing that I would never actually highlight my hair blue because I am just not that brave, yet!

In the video we are about to show you Safiya D. uses purple cream eye shadow to do her highlights and it looks pretty cool if you ask me. Cream color eye shadow is definitely better that the alternative which is chalking.

Chalking was pretty popular before, however it probably wasn’t made for a curly texture since there tends to be a lot of rubbing and friction so in some cases the chalk either rubbed off all over your clothes and hands or it was very difficult to wash away.

In this case your are using a cream based product that is super vibrant and really easy to wash out. We would suggest the Maybelline’s Color Tattoo cream eye shadows, because of the pigment and the variety of colors that they have.

Things you might not like

It doesn’t last forever – It can rub off, because it is considered a temporary solution, add enough eye shadow to really give your hair some pop so that it lasts until your next wash.

We say give it a whirl and pick a color your probably would not ordinarily pick if you were actually coloring your hair. It really looks great on textured curls but it can look awesome on straight hair too so if you are relaxed we would encourage you to give it a shot too.
