A 4C Natural Grew 20 Inches Of Hair In 3 Years

20 inches of hair in 3 years

Well I thought this was a pretty interesting video, Dephne Madyara has a very distinct plan on how she achieved 20 inches of growth for her 4C natural hair. Before we get into what she did, lets be very clear that her hair has been flat ironed in the video with bantu knots applied to give her the style pictured.

We loved her recipe for long hair and thought it was similar to alot of women with her hair type with a few additives that she was very honest about. Dephne described 4 basic steps

She prayed – If you believe in the power of prayer then this step is probably not that strange. God beckons us to come to him for all our needs and Dephne did just that. We loved her faith and how honest she was about it, it was pretty awesome to hear her mention that as a viable first step.

Consistent Routine  – Shampooing her hair every 3-4 weeks, conditioning it, and sealing with a natural oil, seems easy enough? Our hair is a very simple fiber so it doesn’t need much to be maintained when you finally’get’ it.

The key to great growth is consistency and consistency with the right regimen. Once you figure out what that is then you have no reason to try anything else, for Dephne shampooing every month and spraying her hair with water every night worked. What works for you?

Protective styling – She does African threading of course in her country they call it something else, but if you subscribe to her channel you will see her use yarn to wrap her hair and tuck the ends in as a protective style. This way her strands are preserved and she doesn’t have to fuss with it much day to day.

Eating healthy and supplementation – Good food feeds your hair so this one is a no brainer, but when you add supplementation to the mix it helps to speed things along by giving you exactly what your need.

Well there you have it, a three year plan that worked for one woman, if anything it shows us that it can work!
