All hair types you say? We all know that there are differences in hair types but the real key to this whole moisture thing is porosity, if you know your porosity level, high, low or normal then you have just unlocked the secrets to the universe and moisture is not a problem for you.

In the video I am about to share the YouTube describes her hair as low porosity, which means that moisture does not penetrate her hair easily and once moisture is in, her hair holds on to moisture well. In her case she does certain things to lift her cuticles to allow moisture to penetrate the strand, like adding moisture rich products and steaming her hair.

The heat raises her hair cuticles and allows maximum penetration of her products. Many of us are confused by labels and brands, the only thing on any label of any product that matters is the ingredient list. Water means moisture and if its first on the list then you are golden!

If you have high porosity then you can probably put something water based on your hair and be ok for about 2 seconds. Your ‘hair type’ looses moisture quickly so you need to up your sealing game and moisturize often. If you have normal porosity hair then, you my dear are the fairest one of them all. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have to do anything to your hair because its perfect, it means that you employ a more balanced approach to your regimen adding moisture when you need it and sealing appropriately.

One key to definition which is all about the style, is basically allowing your hair to fully dry once you decide on the technique you want to use to set your hair. Whether that’s braids, twists, or braid and curls just allow your hair to dry. Once dry you will get definition regardless of your hair type.
