Believe it or not, people have been doing this for years especially in the Caribbean, and no matter what skin color you are, this style can look really great.

Free form dreads can be formed into any shape the person who is growing them desires. There are some really wild and cool looking free form loc styles out there, enough to make the style almost tempting to try. Free form locs do not require much styling maintenance, but if you want to style them depending on how the dreads are formed, you can do up-dos, bantu knots, or braids with a bit of creativity.
