Rollerset on Type 4 TaperFro

There is something extremely alluring about a tapered ‘Fro. They’re so alluring that I ended up Big Chopping two more times after my very first one, just to rock one.

Maybe it’s the sexy, bad girl vibe that a tapered ‘Fro can create, or maybe it is the fact that they look spectacular on anyone. There is so much that you can do with tapered ‘Fros, from Twist Outs to Wash ‘n’ Gos. For this tutorial, gorgeous YouTuber askpRoy shows us how she does her rollerset on her awesome tapered ‘Fro!

The Products Used:

Giovanni Direct Leave In* – In this video, askpRoy uses the Giovanni Direct Leave In* as her moisturizer, but you can feel free to use any moisturizer that you like.

Lottabody Coconut Oil* and Shea Butter* Wrap Setting Lotion– The Lottabody Setting Lotion is used on top of your moisturizer. Again, if you have another type of setting lotion that you prefer, then you can easily substitute the Lottabody.

Perm Rods*– For those of us who have tapered cuts (or various lengths throughout your hair), make sure to have a variety of sizes, so that you can get a good curl pattern on both your shorter and longer hair.

Fine Tooth Comb – The fine tooth comb is used to smooth out the hair a bit more.

Hair length required:

If your hair can wrap fully around a perm rod, then you can do this style! The beautiful thing about hairstyles such as rollersets is that you do not have to have longer or shorter hair. They can  work beautifully with any hair length and type. askpRoy does her rollerset on damp hair, but you can also achieve a variation of this style on dry hair as well. Ladies with relaxed and transitioning hair can also achieve this hairstyle.
