Hey Y’all! So I think that I am officially on a braid kick. I just absolutely, positively love the look of braids whether they’re short, long, justice, blow dried, or mini I just love them. So with that said, I have got a treat for you guys.

I have found one of the the most beautiful styles that I have think that I’ve seen on someone- The Braided Headband Updo. Now I know what y’all might be saying “Well, isn’t it just a Heidi braid? Well in essence it is, but just souped up! Wanna know how to achieve it? Check out more below as we share the breakdown on Youtuber Discovering Natural shares her version of the Braided Headband*!

Even though she does not list any moisturizers, stylers , or conditioners that she used for her hair prior to creating her hairstyle, it is always a good idea to have clean, moisturized, well – hydrated hair to achieve the best results possible.

Products that was used to achieve this hairstyle:

1 Pack of Kanekalon or Marley Hair– To create the braided headband*

2 Hair Clips – To pin away the front sections that will be braided

2 Ponytail holders– To hold the the two back twists

Rattail Comb*– To part the sections

Hair length needed to achieve this hairstyle:

This hairstyle works best on hair that is medium-short to long lengths. However, due to the use of the braid extension , this hairstyle can be easily adjusted for short hair. In the video, Discovering Naturals’ hair is pre stretched. You can achieve stretched hair via braids, twists, bantu knots, a blow out, banding or African threading.

Here is Discovering Natural demonstrating her take on the Braided Hairband!

So that’s it guys! I hope that you all have enjoyed this tutorial as much as I have; it truly is an awesome style to try.
