How To: Half Up Pigtails Hair Tutorial *Trendy Hairstyle*

Hi guys welcome back to my channel today, i'm doing a hair tutorial, i'm going to show you guys how i get this hairstyle. This has been my go-to hairstyle and i've been posting all of my instagram stories with this hairstyle, and so many people have been asking me to do a tutorial. So here it is, i'm going to show you guys how i get this look. It'S just two little pigtails, but it makes such a difference. Like i love this look i feel like this hairstyle right here brings so much emphasis on your face. It just brings out your face, and it's just perfect, so i'm gon na show you guys how i do this. If you know me, i'm literally always in a messy bun, always always so i'm going to take this down. I'M gon na have a little sip of water. Before we get started. I'Ve been drinking so much water lately, like i'm so proud of myself, because usually i don't drink that much water, maybe like a glass or two, but lately i've been drinking four or five of these a day, which is amazing. So i'm very proud of myself cutting out juice, cutting out pop and i've just been drinking water just to get myself back on my healthy road, because you guys see in my video with my whole hospital journey and just everything going on, i need a cleanse, so Water, it is the first thing i'm going to do. Is i'm going to brush out my hair? I don't know what it is, but lately i've been seeing a lot of improvement on my hair. I feel like it's growing back thicker my hair's been growing a lot. I'Ve just really been liking it and i feel, like even my baby hairs. I'Ve been growing so much baby hairs, it's like scary, so i love it not scary. It'S a good thing, but i'm just like whoa like where's all this hair coming from, but it's really good. So before i start styling, my hair, you guys already know you guys should know by now. I always use this. This is the living proof, heat styling spray. This is going to protect your hair because we don't want to damage our hair, especially if you're using heat girl, if you're not using a heat protectant. I need you to go, get one asap. This one is amazing, because it's a spray, but any any heat protectant is good. I just need you to use something okay, so now that that's sprayed in i'm using this comb, i picked this up at a beauty. Store. Sally'S is where i picked this up. It just says: brush strokes on it looks like this pretty generic comb. I really like it. This is like my go-to for parting for teasing for everything. So i love this comb and i love how pointy it is right there. So i'm using the end to just create an even line. You need to make sure everything's, even like completely straight wow, as i make the super crooked line. That looks pretty straight to me. So now what i'm going to do is i'm going to straighten my hair. As you can see, my hair is pretty straight, but it is very frizzy. So i always like to straighten my hair just to give it that nice, crispness and just looks very very straight. So i'm going to go in with my straightener: this is the straightener by duval i got sent to the straightener and i really really like it. It'S super cute, it's hot, pink super cute. I really like it because it actually goes up to 450 degrees, which is amazing. Usually when i straighten my hair, i usually like to do maybe 300, depending just depending how freezing my hair is, but it goes up to 450, which is good, heats up. Super super quick. I like that there's grips on here because sometimes i don't know about you guys, but sometimes when i'm straightening my hair, i just don't hold it properly and it just slips right through. I drop it, but this one right here actually has grips. So you kind of get a better hold on it, which is amazing, and this is what it looks like it's very thin, really compact. So this is what i'm going to be using today and what i'm going to do is i'm going to start by sectioning off. I usually honestly, i don't section off all the time. Just sometimes i feel like right now, i'm only sectioning for the camera, because, usually when i straighten my hair, i'm just like a mess and the cool thing about the straightener. Is it lights up green? I don't know if you guys can see it, but it lights up green when it's ready to use usually it's red when it's on. But it's green when you're ready to straighten your hair, which i like, because some straighteners don't tell you when you're kind of like guessing. So i like that this one lets you know and in just one pass your hair just gets so straight. I like to do two just because i'm extra and i like to make sure, but really you just need one pass, but when i tell you your hair is so silky. You can just see the difference right here like how silky and soft this is compared to here, it's so beautiful. So this is what it looks like so far. I wish you guys could feel my hair and you guys could feel how soft it feels right now. It feels like silk like no lie, it feels like silk, it feels so good. I love it and i swear it's because of the ceramic. I forget the name of the ceramic. I'M gon na insert it right here because i don't know how to pronounce it, but i think that that's what it is. The ceramic of your straightener makes a difference on how your hair finishes like the finished look is and how it feels, and this one i'm telling you it's super super silky. So you guys can save a lot of money on the straightener. I'M going to go ahead and finish. Straightening the rest of my hair off camera and then we'll be back to style out, okay. So this is what it looks like now that it's done completely straight. Super silky super soft love it and another thing that i really like is that the cord is actually a swivel cord, so it doesn't tangle up because girl, sometimes i'm straightening, my hair, doing a million things. I'M straightening my hair, i'm on my phone and then it starts to tangle up, but this one it's a swivel, so it never ever tangles, which is always a plus if you're on the go. So i love that, but, like i said, i will have a coupon code for you guys, so you guys can save yourself some money and pick up a bomb ass straightener. Now that that's done, you're gon na need to part your hair, and this all depends on how big you want your pigtails, some people like pigtails, like very thick upwards, some like like the little thin ones. It really is up to you. So if you want bigger pigtails, then you do a bigger part. If you want smaller ones, then just do like a little little part i kind of like it in the middle. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to do it like up to here? Okay, so i had to switch to voiceover because i had to be very concentrated here. I'M sectioning off my pigtails, and this is the first one as you can see, it's not too thick, not too thin, it's more of like a medium sized section. I'M doing the exact same thing for the second one, and you need to use a clip to keep the rest of your hair out of the way, because trust me, if it mixes in with your section of pigtails, it's about to be a mess girl. It'S happened to me so now i'm going to go ahead and i'm going to tie up my pigtail you're, going to use a comb just to make sure that there's no bumps nothing like it's very, very flat, very clean, going to use hairspray. The hairspray is just to make sure there's no flyaways or you can use gel. I usually use both. Then i'm going to go ahead and i'm going to tie the pigtail the key thing when you're tying your pigtails is you want to tie it in a backwards direction like i am, and you want to make sure you're tying it as close to your scalp as Possible and i'm using a little black hair elastic. You know the little little ones, i'm using those ones, and i love using black, because i find it matches my hair better, but you could use clear or you could use any color you want now i'm going to be doing the exact same thing on the second One, so i'm just going to speed through this and it's looking good, so i'm just checking myself out just to make sure it looks good okay. So now that that's done, i just remove the clip and i brush back the rest of my hair. That was in the clip just to make sure it's nice and neat. I brush that down and look at how cute this looks already like it's so cute, then i'm gon na bring this forward, and i also like to grab a little bit more of my gel onto my fingers. Just like this much because a little goes a long way with the shell and i like to just grab each pigtail and just smooth it out, because you can see there's a little bit of flyaways. This kind of just takes them away, and there you have it guys, like i love this hairstyle i've been doing this so much lately, it's like my go-to when i'm in a rush. I don't really know what else to do. My hair just looks so so cute. Then i like to go in just with a spoolie and a little bit of my gel and i like to just gel down a little bit of my baby hair, as i add just a little bit, because guys this gel is intense. It'S like a glue, so i like to just go in with a little bit and just gel it down nothing too crazy, but i just like a little bit of baby hairs. So i like to just do that, and i have so many baby hairs, like literally around my whole hairline. Now i don't know what i've been doing lately, but my hair routine right now is making so much hair grow like lengthwise my baby hairs. It'S just been crazy, but it's been great, so i like to just even that out a little bit, and that is the end of this hair look. I am obsessed like i'm obsessed with this hair. Look, i love it. It'S my go-to right now. I feel like it's just so simple, so cute so like mysterious, so chic like i just i love it. I love this hairstyle and it's so trendy. I'Ve been seeing so many people with this hairstyle lately. So i just feel like it's just a thing like this is a vibe like yeah. I actually even go ahead and i do waves in my hair if i'm like going out - and i want it to look a little bit more like done up, i go ahead and i wave my hair. I use my straightening iron to create waves or i use a curling wand. If i want more of a curl, so you could do either or and it kind of just spices it up a little bit dresses up your look more, but this is more of like my casual, like day-to-day effortless, but i still put an effort kind of look Because it's like the straight hair, the pigtails, it's just perfection, so i hope you guys found this helpful.
