Which Do You Prefer: Satin Pillow Case, or Satin Cap?

woman sleepingYour night time routine is one of the most important aspects of any regimen. If you want to ensure that your hair stays moisturized remains untangled as you sleep then what you do at night becomes the utmost priority. If you are a newbie, you might find yourself trying to decide between a satin cap or a satin pillowcase*.

Some of us have both to be honest but really it depends on your preference. The reason we choose a satin or silk material over cotton to cover our hair is because the material does not absorb moisture like cotton does. If you sleep on a cotton pillow case, all willy nilly with no cover on your head you will literally wake up with dry matted hair.

Nobody wants that especially if you have somewhere to be early in the morning.

How do you know which one to go with

Satin Pillowcase

If you are a wild sleeper like many of us are and your satin cap slips off during the night, it might be best that you get a satin pillow case.

If you hate having something on your head while you sleep then a satin pillow case will be your best bet as well. A Satin cap is great for those of us who prefer to sleep on a cotton pillow case, believe it or not, a lot of us have that preference.

What we suggest

Invest in a pillow case even if you do not like using it because they are great especially if you are traveling as a back up, or even on those moments you are caught out there with nothing on your hair.

Personally I have both, I have my own private pillow and after years of using one, I am pretty used to having it around. I travel with my satin cap and leave the case at home. You can purchase your pillowcase or hat at any beauty supply store or Sallys.

Which do you all prefer, satin hat? Satin pillow, or both?
