4 Hair Tools We All Wish We Had

Let’s face it – we all wish that we had a magic hair product or tool that would take care of our hair and do all the work.

With the still growing popularity of the natural hair movement, companies are creating products every day that can potentially make our lives (and our wash days) so much easier.

Here are four hair tools that will cut your washing and styling time in half, and that also help the overall health of your curls.

Shampoo brush

So far I’ve only seen this tool marketed in the UK, but how awesome would it be to have a brush that can help you distribute your shampoo?

When washing our hair, it isn’t advised to scratch your scalp with your finger nails. This can lead to skin irritation and possibly more if you cut yourself. Instead, the shampoo brush’s short and flexible bristles would gently work out the dirt and product buildup.

Tangle teaser

I actually purchased this tool at a drugstore a few years ago, and it has been a Godsend. The Tangle Teaser (or tangle fix) is similar to the Denman brush*, although it has no handle and the bristles are smaller.

The Tangle Teaser is supposed to be great for detangling wet or dry hair. Even though finger detangling is my number one, this is my second favorite because it cuts detangling time in half (and gives great curl definition).

Q redew*

Looking to add a little added moisture to your hair? The Q Redew* might be the product for you. This handheld steamer* is constantly raved about because it serves so many different purposes.

It restores moisture, helps to detangle, reshape, and restyle hair. I haven’t purchased one yet myself, but this steamer* is great for the overall health of curly hair.

CWK plates

Want to stretch your hair but hate heat? These hair plates are an awesome alternative. You place your hair into the plates to your desired length and leave them there until hair is stretched or straightened.

Some ladies add rollers or perm rods* to the end to give their hair body and volume. These CWK plates don’t cause any damage and are a great investment. There are so many styles that can be achieved with them!

Even if you like to stick to the basics (like me), there’s room for improvements sometimes. These four hair tools are relatively inexpensive, and they get the job done.
