How I Apply & Blend Wigs For A "Natural" Look - Bailey Sarian

Wig haul video : https://youtu.be/qj15NcLOK6Y

Hi Friends!

Hope this video helps you out in some sort of way. I know wigs can sometimes look really WIGGY! So, I wanted to show you guys what I do to blend and make my wigs look somewhat "natural" . Also, the wig I purchased and am using in this tutorial , its called "Denise" , I didn't just give it a random name, hahaha.

Honestly, if you have a lot of wigs or are thinking about wearing wigs often, the Wolfe Palette is worth it or find a waterproof root spray to help you out (I didn't have luck with one but I'm sure they are out there).

The Wolfe Palette is either water or alcohol activated, I used the alcohol because its dries down matte and does not move when I sweat or get hot (which is often).

Let me know what you think and if this helps you out. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

x o

Hi guys, my name is Bailey serían and last week I did a haul. Oh sorry, a wig haul, video, where I tried on a bunch of different wigs and I got as you know, if you've been following me, I have been wearing wings a lot lately. That'S because I don't really have hair due to a chemical cut from a stylist, so I've been wearing wigs and these are fairly inexpensive. Wigs and I'll link down below my wing call video. If you want to see the different like varieties, I got, but the number one question I get from you guys is: how do I make my wigs look more natural? As you know, if you have tried wigs, they can look really bulky. They can look really Wiki. So I'm gon na show you what I do so this is my example wig I just got her. Her name is Denise and she was 20 dollars, so it's another cheap wig, so when he first get it out of the bag, it has like really tight curls. So I take my wet Pro brush. I really like this brush for my wigs and they brush out all of the the curls to make them a little bit more loose. You don't want to use a normal hair brush because sometimes it can make it really frizzy and also lose the curl so make sure to get like a wig friendly brush. So this one works really well, and I also have this one, which is called Sheila dots. I honestly like that wet brush better than this one. I don't know why, though, yet I brush out all the curls get her nice and loose and then now I want to cut off the lace so technically you're supposed to put the wig on and then you want to cut the lace and follow your natural hair Line, I just cut the lace. I just go for it because I always leave out my natural hair anyways and it looks more natural. But if you want put the wig on and then follow your hair line, so I'm just taking a little pair of scissors and I'm gon na cut the lace off. This part is always hard for me because I tend to cut the hair and you don't want to cut the hair just the lace, so I cut off all of the lace. So now there's nothing there inside these wigs on most wigs. They have a bunch of little, it's so hard to see little teeth in here. So these help keep the wig in make it feel like nice and snug. So you don't have to worry about you seeing I'm like bobby pins or anything to pin it in. I put my hair back in a wig cap. I used bobby pins to pin my little hair down a lot of people say when they have longer hair. They do like a low ponytail. Since I have really short hair. I just kind of like pinned it back and it works a lot of times. These cheap wakes can come really shiny, so I want to get rid of that shine. So I take a dry shampoo and this one is by igk, but you can use any dry. Shampoo I've even used baby powder or translucent powder, I'm just going to spray the way to mattify it. So there are these elastic bands in here with a little adjuster where you can take it off and kind of pin it. How do I explain this? There are a bunch of little holes right here, you take the elastic band and then you can make wig cap smaller. So if it's smaller head, it fits a lot more snug, it's hard to see cuz it's black, but it's in there. So you can adjust those straps if you have a smaller head and you want to make it nice and snug. I have a really big head and everything fits really tight on me, put the wig over the cap and then this one has a side part. So I'm twisting her to the side and then grabbing the teeth and sliding it through my hair. If I leave it like this, I personally feel like it looks very Wiggy, so I always pull out my hair. So normally I would take a comb, but I forgot a comb I'll pull out my hair, so I could get a more natural hair line and I do this with all of my wigs and a lot of times. I do like my little behind the ear thing. So my hair is kind of like a reddish brown and if I get black, wigs or Brown wigs or blonde whatever, and I pull my hair out, you can obviously see it. So what I was doing for a while, you know those roots grays, you can buy at CVS or blue supply stores, and it's made to cover up gray hair. You spray it on your roots, it like sprays, a little color in there and it hides your gray hair until you get it done. So I was using our root spray to just spray, my hair, to match the wig. I was finding that it was like smearing on my face or transferring because it a lot of them are not waterproof and I'm a very sweaty person. I don't know what it is, but I'm always like really hot. So I found this other one. This is by wolf, I don't know if it's Wolfie or wolf, wolf, cosmetics and what these are are like little alcohol activated makeup. It'S usually made for face paint, but there is a palette called it's a hair palette, it's different shades of like colors of hair. These are the best that alcohol-based face. Makeup is really waterproof. It'Ll stay put all day, so, if you're sweating like I do, or if you touch your hair, a lot you're not gon na rub off that root spray. With this one, like I'm gon na, take the brown and mix a little bit with the black. You take some alcohol or water, but I would say: use alcohol, so doesn't transfer or come off and you spray a little pot on the end of my angled brow. Brush I have a little spoolie or a mascara wand. Will work really well, I just dip it into the the product. I'M mixing the two together cuz. I want a nice like brown, black and then just brush it right through the hair. You can also use this to fill in your hairline. I know a lot of girls use eyeshadow, but sometimes that can come off as well and then this stuff is very easy to get out when you wash your hair or even like soap, water. I carry wet ones with me, ooh, and this will take it right out as well. So it's not like difficult to get out of your hair to get like my scalp and whatnot I'll use the angle brush to get in the smaller parts. I always end on a high note, or I really going to stop doing, that people think I'm asking questions all the time. Look at me and my sick hairline. I took a twenty dollar wig and made it look like a thirty dollar wig, so that my friends is how I make my wig sup natural, like I was saying, get a root spray. If you cannot find these pallets I'll link it down below, they run about $ 30 for 12 different shades, but it's definitely worth it. If you're gon na be wearing wigs a lot because you can use like the purples and the pinks and stuff if you're doing more colorful wigs, I hope you have a really good day today. Make good choices and I'll see you guys later.

Amy Louwho: I would never know that you are wearing a wig. I'm seriously impressed.

LivvyBeth 2K18: I love how down to earth you are. I've come across beauticians on YouTube who do tutorials and they are so unrelatable money wise... And you don't talk down to people. Such an inspiration and really funny. I've never used wigs but really want to. This helped so much thank you

Erin McGuigan: I have been looking into getting wigs for the longest time, just to let my hair rest and this is the exact video i needed x

Annie Lopez: The wig looks like real hair after you fix it I love it!

Erika Bailey: As usual, you look great. I love the wigs you’ve worn so far. I’m a seasoned wig wearer and actually picked up one of the units you had on in your last video. With synthetic wigs it also helps to make it look more natural if you tweeze some of the hairs from the parting space. I personally like to use a little concealer too if the part is too light or dark.

Cotton Tolly: This was so helpful! Thank you Bailey ♥️

Stef Pink: Thanks for this video, Bailey! Super helpful and interesting :)

Lauri Mitchell: Great tips. I have been wearing wigs for about 4 years and love blending my own hair in so those tips are great! Beautiful!

Hazel Blazin: I was trying to figure out if you had wigs on or not with the makeup vids on Facebook . I was so confused lol. Blond one day brown hair the next then platinum. They all look so pretty tbh.

Rosa M Garcia: Bailey, Thank you for this video. I have been struggling with some pretty bad hair loss. I've always known it was a possibility because it's hereditary. All of my 4 sisters have lost their hair and now that it's happening to me, I've been pretty devastated. I've been thinking of buying a wig and see how I feel about it. But I've been apprehensive about it because I thought it would look fake. I had no idea you wore wigs like this. I had seen some videos where you talked about your extensions but I had no idea they were all wigs. They look so natural. Thank you for giving me the courage to try it. Thank you for being you. ❤️

Angie Lalonde: Thanks Bailey! Your vids are always so awesome! I love how your mind works girl lol u make everything so super easy but works like an f'ing charm!

Tori Johnson: You are so cute! I wore a wig for the first time this weekend and I was obsessed with how it looked on me, and I'm pretty sure I'm hooked LOL

Audra WARLAS: Genius! Love it, you already know! I am so terrified when I cut the lace! I have a slight widows peak too, so it always comes out in the front! Thank you so much for doing this! I will have to invest in those colors! I got the dark brown, which is close to black and then got a medium brown too. I am about to dye my hair darker to give it a blonde break! Lol

LB Abstract Art: Nah, you took a $20 wig and made it into real hair lol! Thanks for this! I never thought to use my real baby hairs ‍♀️

Susie Rodriguez: Pleaseeee do a tutorial on your makeup look here. Love it!!!

beamer bentley: it looks too easy !!! I might give it a try

Rose Von D: Thanks for the tips Bailey I have been wearing Wig's for a year now and this is the best video i have seen I don't wear the caps because i find they irritate me Not only that they make me very sweaty as well. Do you have any advice on how to look after Wig's? I find after a week's worth of wearing it all separates at the back o have heard of this happening with weaves as well. .❤❤

MissBrist: Omg girl you are a lifesaver I just got my first wig and I couldn't for the life of me think of something to put in my hairline that would stay put because I have the same problem I'm a sweaty chick haha so THANK U!!

Ann Stocking: Bailey—I think the new Ultimate Artistry palette from BH Cosmetics looks really cool. Really affordable. Know you like using 1 palette & this has 42 shadows! Tutorial perhaps?

Megan Hurley: After watching your videos I bought a few wigs online then I got them and didn't know how to put them on. I played with it a bit but still couldn't get them to look that natural. So this is a huge help! It looks great.

J Kinzel: I LOVE your hair & makeup! Question- Why do they put lace on the fronts when we are just supposed to cut it off?

Jamie Yarbrough: You are seriously so beautiful. You could pull off a super short pixie!
