For those of you who don't know me, my name is mercy and on this channel I talk about nursing, lifestyle, beauty and a whole bunch of other stuff. Recently, I've been doing a lot of Nursing videos and a lot of family vlogs. I didn't do a lot of hair review or any kind of review really because I was pregnant and I feel like my face was puffy and I just didn't feel comfortable enough to do any sort of review whatsoever. And a lot of you guys used to ask me hey mercy: what did you get your hair from? Who did your makeup? All of that is going to be answered. Sooner than later, I'm going to start doing a lot more reviews for you guys, so I'm gon na do everything from showing you guys how to make wigs. How I do my makeup, my everyday makeup that you guys always ask me about, and then today I'm coming to you with a hair review, this beautiful unit on my head was sent to me from Liu hair and I'll put the link down below. I know this channel is primarily for nursing, but I also know a lot of my audience are females as well, and you guys always ask me about my hair and my makeup and stuff like that. I don't really say much because I was pregnant at the time and I didn't feel comfortable, doing, hair reviews and makeups and all of that just because your girl's face was puffy as heck. You know how pregnancy does you your noses up to here? I already have full lips and my lips were bigger than they should have been okay, so I was not gon na. Do no makeup tutorial or anything like that, but now that she's getting her snap back trust and believe, there's going to be a lot of makeup. Tutorials, there's going to be a lot of hair tutorials. There'S just gon na be a lot of reviews, so I'm gon na be answering all you guys's questions. So don't you worry so this hair is actually from Lu, hair, they're on Instagram and they're. Also on Amazon - and they also have their own website, so I will leave all of that down in the description down below, because I got you guys. So that is what this video is going to be about today, then I'm going to be showing you how I got this hair from the pack and looking like it's coming from out of my scalp, I mean come on: okay, alright and yes, I'm being a little Extra today, because I got my Haleh contracts in, I think I had way too much coffee today. So with all that being said, let's get into the tutorial. Okay, guys we're gon na get right into it. I have the box of hair here, so the company is called Luke hair. I'Ve never actually used any hair from this company before so. This would be my first time and I'm very excited. I already showed you guys the unboxing of this hair on my instant story, but this is what the box looks like. I'M gon na open it up and then ooh I dropped something, and then these are the things that comes with. So it comes with a weave cap, so the cap is brown, it's very dark brown, so I guess they were thinking, that's the closest to my skin color, hmm, okay, and there was a baby hair comb. Let me take it out of the package, so you guys could see it a little better. So here it is so this side is a brush and then this side is like a comb looks like for baby here and then it comes with this um. Silk kind of like a hair tie for your baby hair. After you lay your baby hair, you can tie it with it. Some elastic bands, I'm glad that you lasted band. It'S not already on the hair, because a lot of you who wear wigs know that sometimes you can get a headache if the wig is too tight and sometimes the elastic band makes the wigs too tight. So it's your preference, if you want to put it on or not and then with two extra combs. As you can see here, we still got ta get to the hair, so this is the pack that the hair comes in. This is the bag. So this comes out of this bag. Okay, I'm gon na throw that out - and this is the actual hair look at this beauty. This is a 360 closure and the hair smells really good. I like that fact already have you guys but hair before that smells like straight-up chemicals. I hate that and then you have to like go through so many processes to get it not to smell like death. I hate that fact and also from what I can see the hair is already plugged so see that I don't know how best I can show you, but yeah see how it's thin right there. That means this already plugged, which is great, because, let me tell you plug you, these lace, frontals is a lot of work and it takes a lot of skill. You have to really know what you're doing. Otherwise, you have a bald spot here. You'Ll have a full head of hair here, and it is just not pretty so if the wig comes already plugged. That is a win for me and then I don't think the knot is bleached, but I'm not sure, but I just like the fact that we already plugged and then the second thing I like is that the curls look very natural. As you can see there, you guys know I must sucker for curly hair. I love love, love, curly, hair, whether is short tall tall, whether short long, not so long. I love love curly hair. So I'm excited about that. The second thing I like about this hair is the fact that it's not too long, so this is 18 inches, so keep in mind that 18 inches in curly hair is going to be shorter than 18 inches in straight hair, because when the hair is curly the Length is retracted a little bit so it makes it look shorter, but this is 18 inches and I cannot wait to put this bad boy. Oh so it comes with two stocking caps, so this is supposed to be the color that fits my skin better. But I already have one on it's a little lighter, but this is what I've been using in the past and it's worked for me. So this is what the stocking cap looks like, as you can see, is a little darker than my skin complexion and then the one I already have on it is a little lighter. So I think I'm just going to keep that one on and try it out. If it doesn't work out, I can always swish it up, but it's really hard to find stocking caps that matches my skin type. So I always find myself in between kind of like with this situation. So, okay, let's put this bad boy on okay. Let me move back a little bit, so you guys can see what I'm doing here. Okay, so this is what it looks like on. Let me show you this is without cutting the lace, so this is what is going to look like once I cut the lace, so this part right here is where I was telling you that the hair was already plucked, because otherwise this whole place would be thick And you wouldn't be able to see between the hair, so this makes it look natural okay, so it looks like it fits. This is the medium. So it fits me perfectly, as you can see it's not that loose. So I might not necessarily need a classic bed, but we'll see so, as I told you guys, this is a 360, so that means the lace goes from the front all the way in the back. So there's lace all the way in the back, as you can see, so I'm gon na go ahead and attempt to cut the lace off and apply this bad boy to cut the lace. You need a pair of scissors, so all I'm gon na do here is try to cut the lace, but I'm gon na try to do this on my lap, so I don't mess it up. So if you see me bending here, that's just all I'm doing so, while I'm doing this, one thing I want to tell you guys is for a lot of you who don't know a lot about lace, front or lace, closures and stuff, like that, I know when You see the lace front, roll on other females, it looks really really good and you want to get it. But one thing you need to remember is that a lot of these girls know how to lay these lace front. Oh, so, don't think you're gon na buy some hair buy some closure. Give it to someone. Have them make you a lace, closure or a lace front, oh, and then have it magically, look exactly how it looks when they wear it, because the thing is, it takes a lot of work, it takes a lot of maintenance and it takes a lot of patience And knowledge as well about these kind of hair. So if you have someone in your area who knows how to do it, then by all means get your hair and go to them and have them do it for you, but you will be disappointed. If you don't know anything about lace, closures or lace, frontals at all, because it's just gon na be like a waste of your money because you're just gon na buy it and not know how to apply it. So that's one thing I want to say, because I get a lot of questions about this and secondly, if you are a visual learner, then I would say: maybe you come here on YouTube and look at some hair reviews and how to apply lace, frontal lace, closure And 360 lace, whatever lace, look it up and watch some videos. Those are definitely very helpful at times. Ok, so I've cut the lace off. That is what the lace looks like. So this is what the hair looks like without the lace. I went ahead and cut the lace all around the I forgot to tell you guys. The hair comes with combs, so there's one comb on the back and then there's two in the front. So this is just for extra security, so that's what it looks like without any security methods, looks pretty good right. So now this is where the magic begins. You don't need any got to be glue to secure your hair. This right here is what you need. So all you're gon na do is spray. This on get your blow, dryer make sure it's dry and secure your wig, because those other methods are super messy and super hard, and this is not a sponsored video. By the way, this makes it really easy, because it's just one step you spray this on blow-dry and then secure your hair. So here's what we're gon na do. I have my blow-dryer. This is like on air cuz. I know a lot of you guys are gon na ask. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na get a hair clip, get the hair out of the way. So something like this get the hair out of the way. So I'm going to be spraying. This spray along the perimeter of my head - if you see me looking down, that's because I have a mirror that I'm looking at to help guide me better, so you want to shake your spray shake-shake-shake shake-shake-shake, I'm just kidding! So when you do this, you want to make sure all your hair is out of the way and you want to make sure you're not spraying directly on your hair line. You want to go a little bit past your hairline just to protect your edges, so I'm gon na be using a little cover to protect me from spraying myself in the eye, because trust me, I've done it before and this thing burns. So I'm just gon na put this here like so and then spray, so I'm gon na do this session by session, and the reason I do that is because I wanted to lay down perfectly so like that, so once you lay it down, you want to pull It so it's pulling and straight okay now so that section is down I'm gon na move on to the middle section, so I'm gon na grab my spray again grab my little protector thing. Okay, that section is down, so we have one more section to go. So we're almost there but see how much simpler. This is literally just a few steps spray dry, applying, that's it! So, let's move on to the last section of the hair. So when you apply it, you want to pull it like that. Just so, there's no wrinkle in the placement that way it completely melts into your scalp. So now I'm gon na go ahead and tie it down for a few seconds just to make sure the wig is secured. Okay, so let's see how the spray did all right. So that's what it looks like so far, but the way that's pretty much down so now we can do whatever we want. So for this video purpose, I didn't do the whole 360. I only did the front because I'm going to be shooting other videos later, but you can definitely lay the entire hair from the front and the back. So I'm just gon na use the comb to do the back and then I'm gon na put the hair back up and try to work on my baby hairs lucky for me. I got this handy dandy little baby here maker thing baby here maker. That sounds a little. I'M gon na put all the hair back in like a high ponytail, well a high bun, so that it's easier for me to get the baby hairs out of the way so like that. Alright, so I'm gon na start with this. So when I do my baby here, I like to start from the bottom and work my way up, because when you start from the top and work your way down it kind of messes with the the ones you haven't gotten to yet, if that makes sense, so I like to start from down and then go up, so I'm just gon na dab this in tonight, eco styler, gel and then first I'll used a little comb part to comb out some baby hairs. So I will comb them out and then cut them and then lay them, and then I'm gon na take my baby hair maker and go to town on this baby. This process takes a lot of time. Y'All. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it doesn't also need to be rushed. It just takes a little bit of time, so you can get the results that you want so yeah. So this is what is looking like now, with all the baby hairs laid and then I'm going to take the same little scarf and tie it down for a few seconds just to secure it once again like so and then, while that's marinating, I'm going to move On to the hair itself, now, what I don't know is: I'm not sure if I want to wet the hair or wear it in its natural state. I think if I wet it a little bit, the curls would be defined a little better. But if I wear it like this, the volume is going to be a little better, just because it's dry and it has more volume. Okay. So now I'm going to take that scarf off. Oh right, so, okay, you got baby here now, okay, she got baby hair. So now I just want to show you guys how much lace the hair has and how pretty it is because you can part it anywhere. You can do braids and you can also wear it up in a bun or a ponytail. I lost my rat tail comb, so I'm gon na use this big old thing to make a part. So you guys can see what I'm talking about so I'm gon na start in the middle here. I'M just gon na make a part in the middle here. Look at that look look how much lace that is, that is beautiful, and it goes all the way in the back. Let me part it a little more see that isn't that pretty and that's on every side. Let me put it on this side. So if you wanted to make a different part, you can definitely do that, but with these kind of curly hair I just like to flip it over so like that and then I'll do this side so basically anywhere. You can part this hair anywhere, so like so like that, but these kind of curly hair I like to flip it over, do like the flip over method, something like this just cuz. It looks more natural with curly hair, but you can do it, however way you want, but I like this so far, I really really like it now. As I said, I've never worked with this company before so I might have to do like an update to show you guys how the hair is holding up, but as of now I really like it. This is actually my good side, so I'll flip it over to this side. So I just have my spray bottle here with some water in it, as you can see, it's just plain water and I'm just gon na spray down a little bit and see how that works. Okay, I got my spray on so, let's see here, she don't wear it to this side or this side. I didn't glue it down in the back, but because it has a combi in the back, you can still wear it up in the high ponytail or a high bun. I'M not gon na really do a part, but I'm just gon na flip it over these girls. Don'T look at the crows man. This is so so pretty look at that. Oh my god. I really really like this. This might end up being my everyday here. I really really like this look at the curls. Look at the curl pattern. Isn'T this a beautiful? Oh! My god, I just absolutely love it. It is beautiful, I'm just wearing a high messy bun. Today, okay, let's take the bun out, okay guys, so that is it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
