Diy Pony Bun Sports Wig - Part 2!

Good morning, good morning or whatever time it is for you today, um have you been hit by the craze of the like ponytail wig or like sports wig thing, because I have I've been tempted to buy them left and right, and I just like my inner Kraft Aneesa is like you can do this Mandy you can you can do it, you don't have to pay all that money. This is going to be part. Two of the do-it-yourself, like sports, wig, ponytail, wig sort of thing. Do you have one video on this already where I took a lace wig and sewing a wig grip on the inside of it? I wasn't very careful with my sewing and you could see the line on the lace, so I put a headband over where that needs, and then I can still pull some of the hair out around in the front and then the head being in helps the lace To not like flap or you could also adjust the wig itself, but that's one method. Now I just have this like love-hate with lace, so I wanted to like try some other options. So today's video is gon na be on making your synthetic, wigs or maybe even just regular. Wigs that you have, but mine are gon na be focused on putting to use all these synthetic wigs that I have that I did not sell in making them into really cute pony tail. Wigs really lazy today and don't feel like doing anything with my hair, including like hiding lace, blending nothing. I just want to throw it on what a head being done. Okay, so what I'm wearing right now. Actually, this is the very first indulgent synthetic wig purchase that I ever made. So when I first started my journey, I was always buying those beauty supply waves and I'm wondering why the lease didn't match me and blah blah blah blah blah. I'M sure I've talked about that before, but this I splurged I spent like $ 200 on it's. A no Reeko Shilo sandalwood highlight color. I think I routed it myself with L'Oreal's like root spray, or it might have come with it. You have to google that color and see, and if it doesn't come with this, like dark color that you can see, then you can do that yourself. If you like it, I also did short story. The reason this wig is not ever featured in any of my reviews or anything is be cuz. Even that was the first one that I really spent a lot of money on was because I shortly thereafter butchered her, but actually it kind of helped me and pulling it up to a ponytail wig, because I thinned the crap out of her it's another long story. I did not know how to style them. I didn't know how to get it to like lay flat. I feel like it was a big helmet and I just ended up taking my thinner things, shears and I send way too much and then you could kind of like see the cab. So all I did was I just well I'll show you what I did on another? It'S just it took me a minute to do you, and so I didn't want to take it down, but I'll show you now. I really like the idea of taking synthetics and making them into the ponytail wigs, because hey it's a good use for them. I hate to just have them sitting there or resell them and not be able to get what I got or like ones like this. I'M never gon na resell, something that I butchered, so it literally is just been sitting there waiting for a project. I mean you can really just make that hover. You want, you could wear a headband. I put a headband over it over like wear cap meets my head, but honestly because of the way the cap is and I'll show you, I didn't really have to do anything. I could actually wear this I'll. Do it 360. I could actually probably wear this just like this. I was like I said, I did kind of butcher it and then I send in some bangs I'm not sure that Shiloh came with things, but I pulled just a little slight layer down and then I just used my thinning, shears and trimmed. You could do the same thing, the same concept if you want to pull somewhere down like maybe I'd, pull this piece down and then cut it to make it look like it's whispies little baby whispies. I would do the same thing all around. If I wanted to wear this without like a headband or whatever now I do have some other synthetics and we're just gon na go ahead and try this together, because there were some fails and there were some wins. Oh, what I have on underneath this? I will show you is just a wig grip. If you don't have a wig grip or you don't like wig grips and you like to. I don't like to wear wig caps, so I love wood grips because they kind of helped me keep my hair. My little hair in tact, like all around the perimeter and then also some week, stay on it's a twofer, but here's the inside of the cap of the Shilo. So this is like a mono type of material. This is, I think, the reason that it stays on. So well is because it's a standard cap - it's not like a lace cap - does have that lace part, but it's not at least cap. I want to show you another should be the PM version of Angelica. I have another one that someone cut bangs in and I'll show you that one in a minute now this one, I couldn't get to work so well, and I think it's because it hasn't been thinned out but B. The way synthetic hair is, is it's not like human hair, where, if it's tangled or ratty or whatever, you could put something on it and just comb it out really well, you have to get out like your steamer, it's to steam the style to make it change. Can'T use like hot tools unless it's a heat-resistant type of fiber, the reason I say that is because I think it's been styled to lay down. So when I try and put this one up, it just looks really bulky in this part. So what I'm tempted to do is buy a steamer. I used to have a steamer, but I gave it to a girl that I sold some wigs to and I gave it to her thinking. I would never need to use it again, but I think I'm gon na buy a steamer again and then maybe try and like turn these synthetic wigs upside down on a wig mannequin and use my steamer on them and then constantly like comb them. So that that way, it sets the style going up and then it'll be easier to pull up on a pony, hey. So, of course, now that I've put this one on it doesn't look so bad, but you see how so you see how it's so like again, I think it's just the style. I think it's because it's so thick up here, because I didn't butcher this one. This is the other Angelica p.m. that I have that someone actually cut bangs in when I purchased and this one it actually works for me too, and I think it's because again due to the bangs, not so much hair is getting pulled back up into a pony. Another reason that I think synthetics would be a really good option for the pony tail sports wig is because you know one reason that I don't like synthetics as much as my human hair is because of the shine factor, and I don't like having to constantly keep Up with that, but when it's in a bun - and you just throw some dry shampoo, all around the whole perimeter of the vine instead of having to go through and like if you're gon na wear the hair down and put it through all the hair and then Hope it doesn't wear off through the day or cornstarch or whatever you use. If you did it just when you already have the hair up, I'm just gon na go down. Real quick are also cams that are specifically made for wigs and, of course I didn't bring one up here, but instead of using your fingers, you could use your comb and it would help. But you can see already. This would be a cute just like a normal wig, but again I just don't really like all the shine factor and I just feel like it looks really fake, so I would most definitely wear this one up. I think, no matter what I would choose with the pony tail wig, I'm more of a bun and a pony girl, messy bun. Of course it didn't bring mouth. I have six in here. Okay, so I mean even again, I could do the same thing where I could just wear it like as it is because of the bangs. It helps to camouflage. I would just want to pull down some little hairs and then cut them thinning shears just start with a little itty bitty bit like I would probably start with like a thin amount, like maybe even thinner than this, because you know once you got it, I can't Come back but I would start with like a thin amount like this and then, if you have thinning shears, which I would highly suggest thinning shears because they help you to not get a blunt cut. If you use scissors you're, just gon na get a point cut, but if you use thinning shears, you could start here here here. Just do a little snip snip snip, snip snip, and it will cut the hair little by little by little and I'll make it more of a gradual cut. In fact, you can actually make these. You know. I have a whole board on Pinterest and, like now, I'm just excited to go through my wardrobe and pull out clothes that are not wear anymore and cut them up and big head pins because you legit can make headbands super easy. Anybody is interested in that either go to Pinterest, just search boho, headbands or bohemian headbands or like do-it-yourself, headbands and you'll find a whole bunch of things or let me know, and as I cut up my wardrobe and make some maybe I'll, try and document that and/or Explain how I did it at the end cuz I'm gon na make some of these, because I'm super excited about this whole, like ponytail, messy bun, just thinking ahead, I'm excited for summer. I mean it's middle of winter, so he's not excited for summer. In the middle of winter, I'm just planning strategizing okay. So I fully intended to start this video today or actually just start my whole day off by doing like do-it-yourself, wig and the truest form, I was going to break out my caps and wefts of hair, and so myself, a ponytail wig either glue. I'D probably start with glue just cuz it's faster and I could try it out and then, if it turned out well, I could sew one that would be more like heavy duty incerti and stand the test of time. I'M punished a twig would be like circular and it would meet up in the crown. So that way you could pull the hair up. I saw a post on Facebook last night that somebody got me thinking and they took like a headband and they sewed some wefts of hair on the around the entire perimeter, and then they put it on and then because of you know the hair being sewn on The edge of the perimeter - it just went right up into a pony. The only drawback with that is that you'd have to be careful that you don't put it on the elastic part of the headband, because then your elastic won't work anymore. Plus, it's gon na be really heavy if it's just like a regular headband, and so it might be slipping off so and what they had done was like put it on a headband, then put a headband over that headband. I still think that when I do it, I'm going to take like a wig grip and either put it on a wig grip. So that way it has that sturdiness. What I'm just gon na put it on a cap and then the only difference between that cap and like a wig like this, would be that the hair it was put on there intended to be put up in a ponytail. So I would put the hair on and I would sew it all around the perimeter like in a circle making my way towards the middle so that the hair would be going like this and then it could just be easily thrown up into a ponytail where, instead, These wife's are put on to lay down for the most part, so when you put them up, you have to kind of manipulate them a little bit and that's why sometimes they get a little like thick and heavy. That'S why I intended to do, but then, when I went looking through my stash and I found all my synthetics and I was like huh, I wonder if I wonder how good those might be and it worked so I didn't want to delay sharing this with you. So there's gon na be a part three of the whole like do-it-yourself ponytail sports wig, because I still feel like. I really want to be crafty and make one okay, so I'm gon na stop rambling. By the way I did get my money back from that dispute. That I had to file I hated having to do it, though I feel like so dramatic, even bringing it up, but it's just unfortunate and real. The only reason I shared was because I don't want someone else to go through what I did, because it's not right for a company to just ignore you like that, especially when you bend over backwards, giving them extra time upon extra time upon extra time. To literally just send you what you paid for, I wasn't asking even for the discount. They said that they were gon na give me, but they never did because they didn't make another order. I guess didn't ask for any of that. I really just wanted the hair. I didn't even ask my money back. I just wanted the hair. The only time I asked my money back was at the very end and they just so anyways. It is like arctic cold. This week my husband is in Illinois and they have like businesses like businesses that never shut are actually shutting down, because it's like a negative degrees there, it's like so cold here in Texas, I mean I think it was like 35, when I woke up this morning, Which is frigid for us, okay, the high might be like 50, so I'm just praying for all of you guys where you're you know. I know there are areas of the country that it's like negative 50. So I hope you stay warm and I really hope that everybody is safe, don't be using barbeque grills or things like that inside. I know that might seem like common sense, but it's so scary when you're cold and all you want to do is warm up. Sometimes we don't think about like the cold carbon monoxide. Everything like that, so just be careful and be bundled up, and I hope it warms up for us all soon.

I also have to do some sizing as it is HUGE because of course its an inexpensive wig designed to be used by someone with hair! LOL There is still so much I have to do to this unit but I have now watched your video like 4 times and it is so helpful! Yes synthetic hair is so much more difficult to work with I a cosmetologist and it is a different beast all together!! Thank you again for your tips and tricks!!
