What'S up y'all, it's your girl, kd and i'm coming at y'all with my jumbo bun using a half wig tutorial. I started with dry hair because i sleep with my hair in a pineapple style. Hence why i have on pajamas and a scarf but wet or damp hair is somewhat more manageable. I didn't feel like washing or co-washing my hair, so this style is perfect for those who don't feel like wetting their hair, especially because of the chili fall and winter weather, and because my hair is not wet. I did spray my hair with leave-in conditioner to help my styling process be easier and just for some added luster i used garnier fructis sleek and shine anti-freeze serum for frizzy dry, unmanageable, hair. I use this product on my real hair. My weave extensions, my wigs anything that i put on top of my head, so my hair is pretty much already set into shape for a high bun because, like i said, i sleep with my hair in a pineapple, but this is just to keep it secure in Place so i use a hard bristle brush to brush everything up and it doesn't have to be perfect because the jumbo bun is basically going to cover your head anyway, and at this point my hair was so tight. I had to make sure that i could still do my normal faces without a feeling like i just got a fresh dose of botox, so yeah, i'm kind of like playing with the muscles in my face. Now that i have the foundation of my hair set into place, i apply my gel to give it that all day hold and then i brush my edges out my hedges. I brush my edges out of the way with a soft bristle brush and use a hard bristle brush for the rest of my hair and because the bun is supposed to be jumbo. Like i said it does not have to be perfect because your bun is going to cover everything. Okay, so now, it's finally time to add my half wig and this half wig does have a drawstring as well as front and back comb clips. So i add my combs to the front and back of my real hair and then use the drawstring to tighten and secure the wig to my head. Then, once i have the drawstring pulled as tight as possible, i wrap it around my ponytail and tuck the end of the drawstring under the loop created when i wrapped it i'm not going to cap. I did struggle with this bun because, like i said, i'm not a hair stylist and i was surely ready to give up and call this a youtube feel but stay with me because i pushed through and successfully got my blend done. So after going back to reference videos, i realized i wrapped the wrong way, because i started wrapping my hair from the back. But to achieve this jumbo bun style, it's very imperative that you throw the hair to the front of your head and then start wrapping around the front and before you start wrapping twist the center of the hair, so that, when you wrap the twist, helps create that Donut shape it took several tries because it's easier said than done, but eventually it all comes together, only wrap around once after you wrap around tuck the excess hair into the loop or pocket space that you created from the wrap and after you see the shape forming Start pinning into place, pin the bottom pieces of your bun into your real hair so that it holds the shape into place, and i literally used about 15 to 20 bobby pins. To get this done so make sure you have several bobby pins for all the tucking and pinning that's required. How do you want to go? One thing my ray ray did say is that the base doesn't have to be super slick, and i should have heated that warning, because my bun was way too tight, which is why i had to do facial exercises. So i did have to use the tail part of a parting comb to release some of the tension in my head, so my bun is finally pinned into place into my liking. So now it's time to get my edges together to complete the look. I started off with using foaming lotion to set my edges into place and just use my edge control hold on into place and i normally would use is control, but i ran out of product during the filming of this video, so i just had to use some Got to be glued and then after i finished my hair, i put on a little face and my outfit of the day then i headed over to the ground, because where else you gon na go during the pandemic, so make sure you follow me on instagram. If you made it to the end of this, video just know that you a real one, just know that i appreciate you leave me some love in the comments share this video to your socials stay tuned, then by subscribing make sure you ring that little bell, so It will ding when i upload a new video and that's all i got for y'all i'll, let y'all later you know uncontrollable.
