Hi guys, my name is Chloe and welcome back to my channel. If you are new to my channel, welcome, I'm so glad that you're here make sure to hit that subscribe button down below and give it a thumbs up if you liked it or thumbs down whatever anything helps. So today, I'm gon na be answering a question. I get asked all the time. The question is right now: it's: why are you growing out your undercut so in this video I'm gon na go over the pros, the cons of an undercut and why I'm growing my now. So, let's get right into the video I'm gon na talk you through every single stage of haircut that I had just to explain why I got what I got at the time and I think that it'll help you understand why I'm growing it out. So I'm gon na take you guys back to when I first got my haircut when I first got my haircut. I did not have an undercut, and that is this cut right. Here I loved it. It was beautiful, but I have a ton of hair, and so I got a stacked bob in the back I kept on having flip out like on the back of my neck. My hair would just always flip out and it just didn't look good like it didn't hug my neck very well. It was very hard to like get a tiny straightener back there to like flat iron it. It just took so much longer to style my hair. Then I had anticipated, so I was like okay. I want to grow that out and get an undercut so that the pieces on top are longer so that they hug my neck better takes out a lot of the bulk. So once my hair grew in, I got like a triangle undercut because the sides were longer. It was easier to do that and I wanted to you know, have it still be lived in? He did cut it about like a half inch long. So it wasn't like a full undercut yet because my hair wasn't fully grown out and I'll show you a picture of that here. So then I was like okay. Well, I always part my hair on this side. So let's do something wispy right here, and that is where this haircut came into play. So I have like the side wispy by the ear. You know a nice to have still have that triangle undercut underneath. So then I decided to go a little bit shorter. Just on this one side and get more of an undercut on that side, and then I did like a huge triangle undercut, and I will show that picture here. So, as you can tell, my hair is pretty short in the back and it's pretty short all around and I'm still growing out like that stacked Bob thing. I'M really wanting to get like the hair in the back really long to just make it easier for styling and for aesthetic reasons of like what I like on my face. So then I decided this side of my hair was pretty heavy and I wanted to get both undercuts on the sides, but nothing was connected yet so I still had that big triangle on the back and then the two under cuts on the side that undercut really Helped with this bulk over here, especially since my hair was so short, it kind of just looked more like a mushroom. You know thing going on like it pooped out like this and then stayed like that, so taking out a lot of hair right, there really helped my hair lay down closer to my face. So then, my hair got a little longer, which I was really looking forward to and I wanted to get a full undercut that was completely connected and I had this style for probably a good six months and I'll show you that here. So one thing that I did do that I kind of regret is: I went very high on this side of my undercut, so it was not even at all, so this side of my undercut was lower. This side was higher so that when I did do like a top knot or something it just wasn't, it didn't look cute and I regretted going so high on this side, so I decided to grow a little bit out the parts that I was going out. I would just kind of use water and slick it back and tuck it behind my ear. I'M still growing those pieces out here takes a long time to grow so they're about this long now, which I mean they were nothing. So that's a that's a good year of growth after I had my full undercut for a whole year and everything was connected. That was probably my favorite, and here is a huge pro to. That is because I was able to put my hair up in a ponytail. It didn't look cute in my opinion, but it was just easier to manage that way, because my hair was a lot longer in the back. It was styling was a breeze. It took me less than five minutes to style my hair, because half of it was gone. I'M super thick hair, so it was just really really easy to style my hairs yeah. So then I had this full undercut for a good. While I did go back to like a stacked look and I regretted doing that again. I should have learned from the first time I just had gone a year and a half without having a stack and I was like. I want a stack look again, so I grew up my back undercut which didn't take long at all and then kept my sides and then did a stack look and I was like. Ah man, I want my undercut back, so I grew up back out. Anyways long story that doesn't need to be told so, let's get into the pros and the cons of having an undercut if you have a lot of hair, if you have a lot of hair and you have a bob, I highly suggest an undercut now. There'S tons of different types of undercuts that you can do you don't have to shave it. I have never gotten my undercut shaved he's always done scissor over comb. I personally like that, look better because it doesn't grow in sticking straight out when you cut your hair with clippers, everything is cut uniform, so when it grows out, it sticks out for a while, and then it lays down when you cut your hair scissor over comb And you kind of texturize it all in there still looks great, but everything is different lengths, so it lays down a lot easier. I'Ve had a lot of complaints from ladies that go. I just use clippers and you know cut my hair myself and now. Everything'S sticking out: how do you get it to lay down? Well, I've never had that problem because he always did scissor over comb and it always laid down no matter what. So, if you are getting an undercut, I highly suggest doing scissor over comb. If you are a woman - and that is just because it's more feminine-looking, it grows in easier and it's kind of less upkeep. I didn't have to get my undercut cut for like eight weeks and that's just because it grew and super soft. I was able to just kind of like wisp it behind my ear and have like a little bit wisp in front I'll show a picture of that here. So this is right before I got a trim and it looks fine. It doesn't bug me, though, that is just my one. Suggestion is: don't use clippers if you want it to be more feminine and have less maintenance, so a con to that would be. It is a water maintenance and is a lot of upkeep, and you have to cut your hair all the time if you want to keep your undercuts, the back is pretty easy to maintain, just because it's hidden most of the time, but the side is always shown If you have a side part, so if you want it to look short, you will need to cut it a lot now. Another Pro to having the back undercut is, if you sweat on your neck or if your you get hot. This is amazing because it literally avoids so much heat for just sitting on your neck. You barely have any hair laying on your neck and there's so much undercut that it just feels great now. Sometimes people get too much of an undercut in the back. I always suggest people getting about an inch and a half to two inches cut in the back. First, try that out see how you like it. If you want to go bigger, go bigger now, you can do triangle, you can do straight. I always preferred like this straight up to my side cuts just because I did have the side cuts too, but honestly, it's it's preference totally up to you. Some people get designs in it, which is cute. Those are a lot of upkeep those still. So it's honestly, your own preference there's so many different ways to do one undercut now for the side cuts. I love them for aesthetic reasons. I think that they're super cute now this side having a side cut under here, really helped with the bulk, which I really liked that, but I think in the beginning again, like I said in the back, go shorter, don't overdo it. I'Ve seen some women who literally do that, like their part up here all the way to here, and then they regret it, because that is so hard to grow back in so it'll just stick straight up and you can't necessarily hide it with other hair. So I highly suggest going like right at your eyebrow level starting there and then go up to like where your temple is. You know and doing right there and I wouldn't go too far back. I don't know if you can still see mine, but that's kind of where mine was it's just like right there and then would go down I'll show a picture right here again of exactly how the side was, but I do suggest starting a lot smaller. Please start a lot smaller because you might regret doing so much and then it take years to grow back. You can always go bigger later too so, like I did, I started smaller and then I went too high and I was like wha that's too much and then, like I said, it's been a year of growth and my hair still isn't as long as I would Like it to be now, let's talk about the grow-out process. Now the undercut in the back super super super, easy god. I cannot express how easy that is to grow out. It takes about 2 to 3 months for me having my hair super short and the hair. Just keeps growing and then your hair grows longer and I usually just keep trimming it until they meet, so it doesn't take long at all. My back is completely the same length now that has been that way for a good two or three months now, and I started growing it out in November so now for the sides when it starts growing out, it's pretty easy just to keep tucking it behind your Ear there gets to a point where you know you have a little bit wisping out on your ear and then it's long enough to where you can just tuck it behind, and you might see some hairs back here, poke out, but just put those down with water. Now, when your hair gets a little longer I'll, show you a little snippet from a video right here where I airbrush or air dried my hair, and it was just sticking out like crazy and so every single time I do style my hair. I straightened my under cuts now, so they are long enough to just straighten, and I just do that so that they lay down, so they don't get all crazy and then I can just tuck most of it behind my ear. If I want a tiny bit sticking out, I can do that. I do like that look, but I can tuck it and it just stays back there and it's fine this side I can just do whatever. So it's just hanging out in front of my ear. No big deal, nobody sees it, so it does take a really long time and I have been growing out my undercut since November five months. So this is the growth that I've had in five months. So I'm guessing - I probably have another six months to go five or six months to go before it's fully grown out, so I would say a problem total of a year for a full growth on your undercut. So beware: sides take a really long time if your hair is longer it's gon na take longer, but I do love it. I absolutely love it. A lot of people thought that I couldn't grow it out. They'Re, like oh you'll, get to a point where you're like three months in and you'll stop and there have been times were like. I look at pictures and I really do miss my undercut, but then most of the time I know my end goal. So I keep keep chugging along. So the reason, let's go to the reason why I'm growing out my undercut. I think it kind of touched on it a little bit here in there, so my side cuts - I got too excited about on this side, wanted to grow out. That top part this got. You know I just wanted everything. Even I felt like a lot of my pieces of my hair, especially on this side were just all different lengths and I was getting frustrated with styling, because I had my my growth up here that I'm trying to grow out still, and I just wanted it all. To be like one length, not so textured anymore, so my end goal is to have a blunt bob crazy. I know I've had very textured hair for a really long time with a whole bunch of different. I wouldn't call them layers but there's like short pieces. Here short pieces there, it's just really really choppy textured, you know that's what I've been going for is just that more edgier look now, I kind of want to bring it back to the more feminine side, but still have that edge. So I want to have a blunt bob very different, then what I've been doing, it's kind of weird how you can do a whole bunch of different things with short hair, but there's a lot of things you can do so. I want to just have everything, be the same length chop it and let it go so that is my goal and I'll probably be there in like six months, I'm gon na be patient through the process, because that's what I really want. I want something different. I'Ve had the same type of haircut for so long and I just wanted. I still have my short hair. I don't think I don't know if I'll ever grow my hair out, but I just want it to just be all long and very blunt, maybe a little tiny bit longer than this, maybe big, two or three inches, and that's that's what I want. So that is my end goal, but for now I hope that this video helped you kind of talk you through the process of some pros and some Ahn's of getting and undercut the different varieties of undercuts and the possibilities are endless. And if you want to grow out your undercut, it's not as intimidating as it seems, so I hope you guys enjoyed this video thanks for watching and I'll see you my next one.

Regina Phalange: 5:01 pros and cons begin

Ashley Shaw: I just got my undercut today! I had a mini anxiety attack when she first shaved it, BUT now I’m loving it. Feels so good in the South Carolina heat!

unknown kiddo: I'm 14 and all by myself I shaved my undercut today and I surprisingly didn't mess it up edit: 3 months later I got very short hairstyle yayyayyay

Emily Wong: PROS: - If you have a lot of hair, good choice - Great if your neck gets too hot CONS: - Lots of maintenance to keep the undercut (cut hair all the time) Tips: - Do scissor-over-comb so hair lies down flat, do not use clippers - FIRST try out 1 inch undercut so you don't have too much undercut, start small if you're doing sidecuts (don't go too high) Grow-Out Process: - Really easy to grow out the back (2-3 months) - Sidecut takes about a year to grow out

ItsJordanaaa: An undercut is easier to grow out when you have straight hair. I had an undercut with my curly hair and while it wasn’t TOO bad, there is a point where you’re like omg grow already!!! Lol

Penny Andersen: The reason your undercut didn't "stick out" was because it's was longer than normal. When people use clippers they are usually cutting it very short, which takes a little while for the hair to get long enough to lay flat, whereas using scissors it's generally cut pretty long and lays flat right away.

Rae Seaweed: I think she's talking to her younger self rather than the majority of people. Mine's basically a long men's classic undercut where the top is passing my chin and I'm in love. Ya'll do what works for you!

Vegan Squared: I had my undercut for 3-4 years and I never had an issue with it sticking out and I always used clippers lol.

Molly Decker: I’m pausing this video two minutes in to say that two years ago I had LONG hair. I took that EXACT photo in when I wanted a pixie and it was you! How cool is that! I cried though. The haircut looked great but I felt bald/naked and could never figure out how to style that hair cut . The growing out process is ..... fun. Lol

Sara Larkin: I did the full undercut back in October or November. I have the same problem of having just a TON of hair, so the undercut made it some much easier IF I'm wearing my hair down. The problem for me was that I frequently want to out my hair in a ponytail, and it just wasn't cute. So for me, growing out is just the natural progression, because I love wearing a ponytail, and I don't like looking like a 12 year old boy, which is what I looked like with the undercut. It never looked edgy or cool unfortunately.

Noemi De Francesco: This summer my hair was down to my hips. I cut it in a bob in July and cut it again in November. Two days ago I gave myself a deathhawk.

kristen ladd: I’m so glad I watched this! I have been growing out my pixie and undercut and hearing you list the pros and cons really helped me remember some of my frustrations with my hair (thick and wavy). The clippers have been looking really nice lately.

Jasmine Davis: I wish I saw this before getting my side ✂️. The clippers vs ✂️ part is important, I'm in the weird sticking up grow out phase. Love the way it looked initially but definitely happy there's time to grow out during this pandemic. This helps me plan my grow out. Great video .

*: I’m just a little worried about if/when I want to grow it out. My hair is super long so it’s going to take several years to grow to the same length as the rest of my hair....

Oliwia Doroslawska: I want an undercut in the back but I don’t know if I’ll regret it :/

Domi Vids: Okay so just putting this here. Clippers vs scissors do not make a difference when undercutting. Your follicle plays a huge roll if you get the hair that sticks straight up rather than laying flat. It has nothing to do with how your hair is cut, but your hair makeup. I clipper my hair the way I was taught in cosmetology and my hair does not stick straight out , because of how my follicle is. Everyone’s hair is different , so try out different techniques and see which ones fit you the best.

Elizabeth Anspach: Your undercut hairstyle is what convinced me to finally try it out myself, and everyone agrees it's the best hairstyle I've ever had! Thank you for being so honest about the pros and cons of this shorter hairstyle and for showing us so many unique ways to style short hair.

Elizabeth Logan: This was a super helpful video to watch since I’ve been considering a back undercut. I have short hair, and just so much of it like you were describing in the video. Thank you for uploading this! Super educational and so helpful for me figuring out what I want to do!

Shazia Dasu: Thank you SO much for this! I've been contemplating and this was super helpful and makes it a real possibility for me! Thank you and excited for my side shave!

Amie Henderson: Thanks for the helpful tips! Thinking of taking the plunge to a pixie with undercut this week my hair is currently almost 20” long with a v undercut in the back because it’s extremely thick.

Rachel Streletsky: Love your channel! I got my hair cut as similar as I could to yours. My mom loved it and she got a variation of your style as well. You are the reason I own Croc s styling tools which have made a huge difference in the quality and texture of my hair. So excited to see what else you bring out!!

RJ Tzila: So glad I found this video! I get married in September 2020 but currently have an undercut I've been debating whether or not I should get it trimmed and this has made me realise I should start growing it out now if I want it to blend in with my hair for my wedding! Thank you, so useful!

Althea Winchester: Thank you so much for the video, I have a lot of hair like ridiculously thick and I've been weighing up on getting an under cut. And now I understand the process so much better and can tell my stylist exactly what I want

Niccho Johnson Maione: I did the undercut because my hair is so thick.... i'm currently growing it out... been 2 months, but I may someday undercut the back again.... so easy to style... but no shaving or buzzing

Fiona: I initially got an unconnected undercut (inspired by your first undercut style) then last weekend I was so irritated by the bulkiness around the sides of my hairline at the back that I got the whole back and sides shaved. BEST. DECISION. EVER. I now need to get the top re-balanced but the undercut and the cute design the stylist did is awesome!

Tina Herman: Thank you so much for doing this video! I have decided to grow my undercut out and have been wondering what that process will look like so this video was so helpful! My hair grows super fast thankfully so I am hoping in about 6 months I will have it pretty well manageable. My undercut is both sides and back so I have a lot to grow out :)

Lisa A: As someone who has thick and long hair, I’ve been considering getting an undercut. You gave LOTS of great info - especially the “no clippers” tip. Appreciate all the info!!

73ambertisdale: You are describing my hair perfectly. I have super thick hair so when I decided on getting an undercut, in November I took your pictures from pinterest to the stylist. I was starting from a length in the middle of my back. So it was quite the shock. But I loved my undercut. My hair grows really fast so I had to get a trim ever so often. Since the pandemic I have not been able to get into the salon. I have so much regrowth it looks horrible now, since the stylist used clippers, it grew straight out until it got long enough to use bobby pins behind my ears. The back is now long enough to go into the ponytail when pulling back. I really need to get back to the salon, my hair needs help.

Chachi Marie: I have a full blown pixie now and I’m having such a hard time feeling feminine definitely taking these tips !

Amanda Treptau: I just got the full undercut. I was so upset because the stylist buzzed my right side up to the part in my part... but turns out I am absolutely in love with it!

Lola M.: Thank you for this informative video. I have been wanting to do an undercut because of my thick hair but could not decide... By the way, I think you look great with that haircut ☺️

Lori DeVerney: Great video! I have short hair & want to get an undercut to grow my hair over like you have! Love your hair. Thank you!

Victoria Greenroyd: I feel your pain, girl...haha! Well, it isn’t real pain but at times so frustrating to be growing out your hair from some short form of hairstyle. I’ve been growing mine out from a very layered Cindi Lauper-esque style since Dec. 2017... and it’s the multiple lengths that get to me, plus I’m giving up bangs to boot! My goodness what was I thinking? Oh yes, my hubster, asked if I would. Oh, the things we do for love. I love your undercut hairstyle, Chloe and have been thinking about throwing in the towel and getting mine cut like yours. But frankly the mere thought of growing it out someday scared me off completely!! Best of everything, Victoria

Amanda Tenney: Thank you SO much for this video. I just chopped a good 6-8 inches off and now have a blunt hair cut and want even more off but was worried about the mushroom look. Now I have a general idea of what I want!!

Zen Yarnell: thanks for the info, this is the push I needed. I am now absolutely getting an undercut now. I use to have the side of my head shaved (learned a lot from that experience) I have a lot of hair (too much) and I need to do something so I can keep growing it longer.

Melissa Rose: I just did. Love it!! Do it! You can leave the top in a bob like hers, and if you hate the undercut, it will grow back. But you're probably gonna love it. Ponytails look kind of tough (less feminine?), so on days you want to wear it up, so some heatless curls the night before. They'll add that feminine flair to balance out your edgy undercut. Have fun!

Kayla Wall: I’ve been watching your videos for a while and always have loved your hair! I had been on the fence about getting an undercut because my neck area is always thick and flips like yours. Well I got an undercut yesterday just on the backside and it’s about a half inch long like yours was! I love it! What are your tips to making sure the hairs lay flat? Mine were sticking straight out this morning after getting out of bed

Rossington Family Adventures: I have a triangle undercut and an thinking about getting a small side cut on each side since my hair is so thick. Thanks for all the tips and info! I’ll be talking to my hairdresser next week and see what she thinks.

Eden L: I just got my hair cut to my shoulders after it being down to my bellybutton. I got a nape triangle undercut and I dyed the underneath of my hair purple. Not the undercut but the underneath got dyed purple. I absolutely love it. I have really thick and very frizzy and curly hair and I feel so free and amazing. I am 12 and I love it

Nikki Ackerman: I love my undercut! My hair grows ridiculously fast and I have thick wavy hair. I get my undercut done with clippers no problem with it sticking out when it grows out.

Corrine Wager: I like the masculine edge with a shaved/buzzed undercut :) good point about the scissors over comb vs clippers! your advice is great for those wondering about this cut! I have thick hair and always wanted to do this and I just did it recently, combined with a blunt bob for the top hair, my hair was really long and heavy and hot and now it feels great :) I love love love it. Your cut now is super cute!

Kiri Camel: Thanks this was very helpful! I'm currently growing my hair out from a pixie with clipped sides... so my hair is a mullet with a long fringe right now and because i have really thick hair the sides definitely look like a mushroom and i wanna cut them off again for the summer... but i was worried on how much and how short... the cut over comb undercut idea is so good I'll maybe ask for that at my hairdressers! Perfect video for me haha

Penny Davis: I usually don't watch videos like these, but I never thought about the scissor over comb option! Thank you, it will make the look I'm going for much easier to pull off! :D

kareah c.: Exactly the info/experience I needed to hear! Thank you so much!!

Sara Biggs: Going tonight to get an undercut! Been back and forth about it for awhile. But after finding this I know it’s for me. Thank you!

Jaye: I got a back undercut and it really helped me with the styling because my hair is really thick. Now I am watching this again because I want to get a side undercut.

Courtney Faison: I can preach for the don't cut it too short at first! I just got my hair cut last week and impulsively kept telling my stylist to go shorter and shorter. And now I'm stuck with a haircut I am having a really hard time accepting and styling. But it all part of the process ☺️

Melissa Barton: I have debated getting a undercut for over a year, I do have a lot of hair and it’s thick. It’s the growing out part I was unsure about. Thanks!!

Brooklyn B: I absolutely love my side shave and I did it with clippers though I like the way my head feels afterwards. I too have SUPER thick hair so I can also say it feels so good and it keeps your head very cool. I just got a wild hair one day and did one side of my hair and then it took my husband awhile to notice, but my daughter noticed immediately, lol! I'm currently in a play and can't cut my hair, but after April 14th undercut here I come, why? Because Summer is coming and y'all it gets hot in the South! :)

La Familia Casa Vlogs: I get you. I chopped my hair almost a complete pixie length when I was 19. And I’ve done the grow out process (to about boob length) about every 2 years. Then I would chop it short (usually varying between bob and pixie lengths). It’s a frustrating process at first when you learn to grow it out without it looking ridiculous, but by now I know exactly how to get my hair trimmed to keep it looking nice through the process. I can’t wait to see your Bob!

Kristy Webster: My hair situation is exactly the same. It was down to my butt and super super thick! It was always long..last week I decided it was too hot and boring, and li was over it so I went and had an angled bob with an undercut. I didn't know how much I would love it but u absolutely do! I dont miss my long hair at all and im so happy I cut it off..i feel like a new person. I even dress differently now

Rebecca W: Has anyone told you , you sound exactly like Pam from the office ? I mean exactly.

Beatrice Mendoza: I shaved the side of my head last December and I've been growing it out since February and I want to get it cut a short style so I can finally stop hiding it and I was going to bring them the second photo of your hair!!

Nevaeh Key: I got a very extreme undercut just over 5 weeks ago and my hair is already about an inch long, it was cut to 1/4 inch so I’m concerned at how often I’m going to need to recut it to keep it an undercut

Judy Holiday: I just recently got a stacked bob and I loved it..I went back about a month later for a trim and to get my highlights touched up..When I got home I could tell that she didn't cut it the same as before it just wasn't laying right..I went back about a week later and she went in and thinned out my sides and cut a little from the back..I will NEVER cut my hair like that again because one side is shorter than the other and now the back is too short and one side hangs down in a funky looking way..I never had layers before and I always wore my hair to my shoulders so this cut was a huge deal for me..I am not trying to live with it until it grows and becomes easier to style..Your video really helped just wanted to let you know that it has given me some extra hope and determination to not allow this one funky haircut get the best of me..

Stephenie Quaduor: Thank you for the video....I am in the process of growing mine out as well....takes awhile!! I love your bracelet!!!

loveforxtina: I’m currently growing a shaved undercut and I was dealing with the sticking up poof/looking like grandpa Munster. Today, I just decided to put some Aussie miracle moist in it while it was wet from my shower cap shower and it air dried laying down so much nicer than I had been experiencing. I want to grow it but I’ve definitely had those days where I thought it will just be easier to cut it again. I missed my last two hair appointments because of Covid related issues in my household, which is helping me resist doing anything(too many bad quarantine hair choices in 2020 and I know better now). I’m going to call the salon this week and go get a trim and I’m hoping that my stylist will/can texturize the current undercut growth as I grow the rest of my pixie/bob into a short bob. Oof. I thought I was going to keep my hair short FOREVER, but I’m ready to let it grow a bit.

Chyane Naraskivitch: I love the short hair w the undercut look . I have a blunt bob and I love it ! My goal was to get back to my natural hair color thus is how I ended up cutting it shorter and  shorter to get all of the color out and now I love it and I'm finally back to my all natural brown I haven't seen in almost 18 years! HAH I'm only 29 though

marielledelaine: I was inspired by your cuts =) I am dealing with the flip now big time, no undercut, I appreciate this video because I'm still not sure if I want one or not.

Kingdom of Mochi: It took me like 8 months to have my undercuts be shoulder length. I grew them out because I was worried about how much strain I was always putting on just my top hair and I didnt want to stop having thickk hair

flannagenwaters: That's so crazy that I was looking up undercut references to show my hairstylist tomorrow, I saved 1 or 2 of yours on Pinterest, and then your video showed up when I looked up undercuts!!

BearsHunnyPot: Came to this video to do some research since I've been wanting an undercut for over half a year now, and I'm getting my haircut tomorrow!! Super excited

Natasha Cortes: Girl first of all every style looks so cute! I def understand the struggle of lots of hair. I just shaved mine and it can get hot in SD I make pizza next to a 600 degree oven and it helps me so much!

pale_emo_princess: I have a HUGE undercut. about 2/3 of my head. I shaved my whole head last year and consistently got the sides shaved down and the top untouched since I knew I wanted one. i didn't even realize now big it was until I decided to start growing it out. luckily my longer hair on top is just long enough to tuck behind my ears and wear like a baby bob, but I love to put my hair up into little braids and buns so this growing out process is going to be interesting

🐱 Kitty Cat's 🐱: Thank you so much. This video was really helpful. ❤️

Bethany Worrells: What are your tips for growing out a pixie cut that is cut wrong at first and wanting to get back into a bob like yours? *if I could post a picture I would. The first time in a long time cutting my hair short, your pixie/asymmetrical bob was my inspiration and now I’m trying to get it longer like how you have it now or sometime last year when you had it a peachy color

Sailing Octopodes: Very helpful video. I live on a sailboat, which means no hair dryers, flat irons (they use to much power) and lots of jumping in the ocean. I am considering an undercut as we sail to hot climates.

Rica Villagasto: Wow, this video actually helped me to decide whether or not I should get an undercut. I'm from the Philippines and it's summer here. It's so hot here and I can't go out to have a cut at a salon. So I asked my nephew to cut my hair instead. I will tell him to cut my hair using the scissors over comb method.

Helen Parker: This was SO helpful, thank you.

Jennifer: My hair is just above my shoulder, so quite short and I’ve been wanting an undercut for like 2 years but I’ve always thought I’d regret it. So any tips from anyone?

Miss. Conduct808: Currently in the grow out process.. 2 months into the ~6 month and it's driving me fkng bat sh*t crazy!! Not long enough to tuck behind my ear yet. I FELT that when you stated you wanted to go back again, because it is cute!? But not part of my end goal. It is a process. A labor of love. ~♡~ I'm also in color transition phase. It is what it is ‍♀️ Trust The Process -M

Bleach Troll: You have the same goal as me :) I went to the stylist a few years ago and asked for a blunt Bob and she started giving me an undercut and told me I needed it because my hair was thick and people with thick hair can't have a Bob without an undercut. She also put very short internal layers in my hair. I didn't want either one of those those things. I want to get a blunt bob again when my hair grows out but I don't know what to say to them so they won't do those things. What should I say?

Lorraine Van Loo: Still love the hair. I had an undercut from postpartum hairloss. Underneeth it fell out. With cutting it grows out nicely. When i ever go shorter i will take your haircut.

D'. Alexis: growing out my whole head! i had to cut it from color damage so i just cut it to my undercut length and longer on top but once its to about my shoulders im getting an undercut again it was the best hair decision ive ever made and i miss it already

Jill Kristich: Thank you Chloe. This is very helpful.

J R: I did my undercut in 2017 because I love doing designs. It grows out and itches a bit w my crazy curly hair and turns into a little Afro. I wanna shave the side too but I’m super scared. It’s gonna be so hard to grow the sides out with curly hair. I’m conflicted

Laura Burton: I have really long, thick hair and I think I'm going to get an triangle undercut for summer because I get SO hot

Susan Ruby: I got an undercut six weeks ago and am already growing it out. It made my hair hard to style and I just don't like it. I am glad I watched your video to see how the undercut looks.

Rebecca G: Imagine having a side profile so nice that you show it on the internet

Coralis Glez: Thanks for the vídeo! I have the same problem or blessing, but I have THICK hair and it's so hard for me to make it look pretty. It stresses me out. So I'm considering an undercut.

Cory O: I find these tips helpful. I've got thick wavy on top and curly underneath hair. It's a hot mess. But now I'm missing my hot mess. The undercut made me cooler but this girl needs her long hair back. I'm thinking of cutting all the under hair to be even height all around. The first time I did this I used pictures of yours. The second time I ended up looking like a little boy because the hairdresser (who had a pixie as well) went cutting happy on my poor hair cutting it way to short. But I have to say I'm glad to never had that awkward sticking out from my undercut that was shaved. This time though I'm have them use scissors to cut my undercut. Or just have my husband do it and then go in and have them do the rest. Not sure. But the pixie cut days for me are over lol. That and I hate the upkeep to these things. Could spend my money on better things then having to keep up with this haircut. I hate getting my hair cut a lot lol

Nik W: My hair grows fast when I first cut it or shave it but then it goes to a point where it stops. I haven’t had long hair in a very long time, so I gave up. Shorter hair is better to maintain.

Charity Jeanine: I got my undercut 2 years ago and still rocking it

Diana Leal: Every cut you do looks beautiful on you !

😚: I got an undercut like a year and a half ago AND I’m still growing it out. I get social anxiety and cover it up but then I can only have 1 hairstyle since I have short hair

Grey C: My hair was cut "boy" short and it grew out to shoulder length in like 10 months, I guess everyones hair is different - mine seems to grow fast - guess ill have to cut my undercut once a week!

Lindsey Stephens: I been rocking a undercut for going on 2 years...my hair is very thick and at one point it was mid back and was becoming painful when i wore it up. I decided to chop it off to chin and shave the back then recently last summer i shaved sides ...it felt amazing in the summer and i love the feeling. I just hate when it starts growing out it just drives me up the wall. Great video though and love your haircut

Jackie Lushman: I have naturally Grey hair, I like my short hair but like the asymmetrical cut. Every time I look for new ideas it’s always your cuts that draw my attention the most!!!!! I want to let my left side and my back to grow but like my right shorter! I lack with styling, like as little maintenance as possible!

Cathleen K.: That's my goal too lol blunt bob.... I get there and then after a few months I miss the messy texture lol. I've grown out my undercuts aswell the back is almost all grown evenly. Short hair is fun to play with!

PrettyPinkPeacock: It's actually reassuring you struggled with flippy/thick hair as well! So many of these photos are hair goals, but it seems they are hard to maintain!

Greene :0: I have an undercut and my dad uses clippers to shave it for me. I think the hair sticking out is a texture issue because my hair never does that.

moesimpkins79: Growing out my undercut now...actually used your pic for inspiration...this story is the same as mine.

Vilma Thompson: I have a very thick head of hair and find that the full high undercut with long (and I mean long) top is the best for me. I live in a semi tropical area very humid climate. I would prefer my hair short but my husband would like my hair long so, this is a compromise. I wear my hair up all the time as I don't like hair on my face. Happy with it.

Sometimes Rainie: I’m thinking to do it. I have always wanted to do it since 2016 but wasn’t allowed in school and now I can! My mom don’t really like this idea haha she’s ‘okay’ with me having it but she don’t approve of it lol. I am honestly scared haha

JORDAN BASHA: Omg this style suits you so well , so cute and thanks for the advice

Hiromi Sugiyama: I´ve been growing out my pixie and got into the stage where it started to look like a mushroom. I immediately thought of your undercut and said, "you know, why not? My hair grows pretty fast anyway." I don´t think I´ll ever go longer than shoulders ever again, I´m currently at ear length and have connected undercut, which I couldn´t be happier for. It is a lot of maintenance, yes, but since I got it because of my hair´s thickness, I usually wear it down or my braids anyways. It also makes braids and other ponytail styles much easier. With that being said, I´m cutting it into Charlize Theron short pixie this May/June again cause I miss my wash-and-go in 30 minutes without using a hairdryer.

Prarthna Reddy: i'm thinking of getting a triangle undercut because my hair is so long and thick. My goal is to cut off some hair so then I can start letting it down without it being too poofy. So is that a good idea or should i not do it? (ps i wear my hair up in a bun a lot so yeah is that still a good idea?)

ForrestJoJo: Got an undercut yesterday for the same reason that my hair is too bulky but man you look so good in all those hair cuts

Jonelle Katene: Just use coconut oil to smooth down the growing out shaved bits...if you use clippers. Always works for me

Aaron: I had bangs. They were bout to my eyebrow level I grew them out. Year later they have grown up to 5-6 inches. Everyone’s hair is very different. Ans there is ways to make your hair grow faster. I have a undercut but I want to get it brought to front. My hair is super thin and it will be thinner so imma get thickening stuff for it!
