How To Sample Hair From Vendors For Your Hair Business/ Step By Step - Entrepreneur Life Ep.2

Hi guys welcome back to my channel and welcome to episode 2 of my entrepreneur series welcome to another video of me, starting my own hair business. You guys for today's video you guys i'm so excited because i got my package um. I had ordered a simple wig from a vendor and i'm so so so excited to test it out and see if it's good here or not, and if we're gon na go with this a vendor or not, because i, like everything else about this vendor the communication, Is great they they just good it's a good vendor, but i need to test out the hair to see the quality of the hair if it's up to our standards, we're going to go with this vendor and if not the search continues for a vendor so yeah. I haven't looked at the hair, yet i haven't opened it. I just wanted to do with this on camera, with you guys and see what this hair is about. So basically, i'm just gon na show you guys the steps i take to test out. Um simple hairs. I get from vendors, it doesn't matter if it's a wig, bundles or whatever i take the same steps for all of them. So first thing i'm going to do is obviously open my package and see i need scissors. Oh, my god, you guys i'm so excited i've been waiting for this hair. It didn't take long to get to me, but you know i'm impatient when i order something. I want to get it right, then in there, but that's not oh my god um what she had to send me that color i got caps, but obviously this doesn't match my skin tone, but obviously she doesn't know my skin color, but either way you shouldn't get. I should have just sent the the lighter one, because you could like make that color with foundation or whatever it. You know all right so came through fedex standard packaging, nothing special and it's in this little plastic bag. This is how she scented this wig is handmade. They made it from me when i ordered it um and this the transparent lace is um, a closure wig and it's 18 inches. Okay, first thing we do is smell the hair. Oh, it looks nice just looking at it just looking at it. The hair looks nice. It doesn't stink, it smells like regular hair. I usually get like that's all, that's what they all smells like. Okay, just the smell, oh my god. It feels so full. Oh my god. I don't know, i'm liking the way it's looking and feeling so and there's a nip on there. Take that off. Oh, my gosh, oh my god. Oh by the way, this is the straight texture. That'S their straight hair. Like i said it's 18 inches. I didn't get the frontal this time. I got a closure and it came, it came with the band and it came with the adjustable straps and the the combs. You know the standard wig stuff and the oh. It looks nice, it's pretty full too. I like that. My baby full and it looks longer than 18 inches. I don't know why, and i almost went with a 22 20. A 22 would be really long that oh i like that all right. So after i take it out, the pack first thing i do is smell. My hair, you know, make sure it doesn't stink. I don't know it smells like regular hair to me. So that's a plus. I got my notes here. What i do i've been had this since i started my business because just like, when i was doing my research on how to like really test the hair, to make sure it's really good hair, i had to wrap everything down, so i have it. I have it right here in my notebook um first thing i do is smell it and then you know just like run your hands through it like just like inspect the hair, make sure the hand make sure it's not. It doesn't have split ends. You know i mean this is pretty good to me. It'S handmade, so i mean the ends. Looks pretty good to me. Just came straight out of the pack and it's straight here it hasn't been um, it hasn't been flat ironed. Yet so i'm sure when it's flat ironed, it would look good and also you guys make sure the hair doesn't have the you know um when you buy hair, there's like there's, usually not usually, but some hair have that a lot of little red strings little little Red pieces like these are fillers. They use this like make the hair look fuller, but from what i'm seeing here baby, it does not look like that. I mean there's like little specks like tiny bit. You have to really really look, but that's just probably the hair. Honest, i don't know you guys, can't really see it. This is natural color, looking pretty nice. Actually, oh, my god, the hair. When you run your hands through it, i mean it's not gon na tangle, not but make sure there's no shedding. You know and there's nothing coming out. Actually i'm pulling it and there's nothing coming out. Oh my god, we might have found a bed tender. Let me not get too excited because i get over myself. I can't get over myself. Let'S, let's not do that. We haven't worn the hair, yet we haven't washed it or nothing. We haven't bleached it. So, let's not get over ourselves here. Chelsea, calm down, baby calm down sis, but it's not shedding, though like girl. Yes, oh my, oh, my god. Okay, like one piece came out, but i really i pulled really hard and it's hair still one little. Where is it yeah that came up but come on? I just pulled this hair like pulled it, but yes, yes, so yeah the ends are looking good. It doesn't have no bad smell, it doesn't have like the red little strings of hair. The fillers. Let'S see the movement, does the hair move? It doesn't look dry, it doesn't look. Dry, seem pretty nice. You know my sis. Look! Oh, look at this girl. Oh, i love you. Oh just what is wrong with me. You guys i'm getting over myself here, but dang says move nicely. Doesn'T she and she's straight out of the back out of the packaging come on come on now? I can't wait to provide you guys. The best quality like i've been testing vendors, okay. So for me to find this here this i mean the other ones. They they were nice here but like there was something with the vendor that i didn't like, or some just something that you know when you do. You don't feel it 100. I wasn't feeling with these vendors 100. There was just something in me so this one like i said i like everything else about her, so i just wanted to test out the hair, and my thing was if i, if i liked the hair, if the hair was great quality, i'm not even going to Say good: okay, because i have good quality hair here that i've bought from vendors and okay but great quality. Then i would go with them. So, let's, let's continue with this video and test out this hair and see if this gon na be my vendor alright. So so before i move on to anything else, i'm gon na take a little piece of the hair. I got me a lighter here. This is to make sure it's virgin human hair. You know it's human hair, we're gon na burn a piece of the hair, because if it's plastic, it's gon na, like you know how plastic burns it's gon na, like i don't know what exactly, but it's gon na you know plastic when it burns it's kind of, Like balled up like a low just like strengths or like plasticky, you know what plastic it looks like when it burns, but human hair when it burns it turns into ashes okay and that's what we're gon na test out next, because we want this to turn into Ash, i don't want to ruin my wigs so from the like the inside right here, i'm gon na take a small piece right here. Got my scissors gon na cut all right. I got this piece see my sis right here. We'Re gon na burn her. I got my lighter. Let'S start burning all right, all right! Please don't for me. Okay, all right girl, you're gon na be moving too fast for me. So next, we're gon na like see if it turns into ashes just squeeze a little piece in your hands. Oh yeah, let's see sister, let's see you, okay, that's what i'm talking about. Y'All see this focus baby focus show my people ignore my nails, they're looking crazy, but i want to show you guys how it turns into ash. You'Ll see this and sis we have ash over here today: hey but yeah, you guys, so that's how you test if it's actually human hair - and it is my sister - is a human - that's another test that we passed next test gon na, be the color test. So i'm gon na color a little piece from the inside right here, just to make sure the hair can actually takes bleach and i'm not i'm i'm gon na bleach. It not color it because i don't have any like um dye hair dye here. So i'm gon na bleach a little piece of it and see how it turns like how it changes color. You know, and i'm also gon na bleach the knots just to get it out of the way, because i was gon na do that anyway. So and then we're gon na wash this and see how this works, because when you wash your hair, it shouldn't have like a you, know, color coming out, because that means this have been processed and this is not supposed to be processed, because this is virgin. You know i'm getting over myself so before i um bleach the knots and bleach the little piece i'm gon na like fly in a little piece of it. That'S not the main heat test, because it's just gon na be a little piece. I actually am gon na style this here, so when i style it, it's not going to be in this video because it's going to be the video is going to be way too long, and i don't want that. So i'm going to have a separate video of me, styling, the hair and um, and putting the hair on my head, like uh, applying it on my hands. If you guys want to see how it really flattens the whole thing. So when i film that this one will go up first, but it will come next, so not maybe not next next, but it will come soon. Okay, it's probably gon na be episode. Three of my you know entrepreneur series your girl turning into a businesswoman over here. Yes, it's period, this um flat iron goes up to 455. So that's where i have it at 455 degrees and see how it takes the heat and see if this can handle the pressure, because, if she's not able to handle the pressure, then we can't go here. No, we don't want no weak girl over here, because we're strong boss, ladies period, if she she can't take a little heat, then she's not for us. No, let's do the front right here. The the wig head is not the wig here. Dominican head is moving because i don't have anything to hold it down, but we'll make it work we'll make it work. I don't know you guys, can't really see it. Kenya, looking at me now, yeah you're, not here to see me here to see how the hair works, how i do what it did all right - let's see, i'm so not comfortable right now, but we got ta. We got ta make it work all right, i'm so not straight, but whatever, let's see okay, i need some all right. Let'S, let's get rid of the corn, that's why iron is hot, that baby gets hot and it's looking nice, it's looking! Nice all right see use this see you probably, let's do one more all right all right, so this can take a little heat. I don't know if you guys could see the difference, but this is looking shiny, like not that plastic shiny but, like you, can see the difference in like this little area right here and that lower area right there that i just brought iron all right. Sister she's. Looking great, i don't know, i guess you're gon na pass all the tests today, all right, let's do a little another loss and peace, all right girl. As you can see, she passed the flat iron test and she's looking real nice from that little section. I just did y'all see that yeah yeah, okay, girly. I see you baby. Yes, yes, i can't wait to fly iron. The whole the whole thing look at the side. I didn't do just like not looking straight and shiny like that side. Oh, my yeah, you know when you get gray hair you just like. Oh jesus, now we're moving on to the bleach test. The bleach test, she's combing, really nicely too guys, like i'm just running the comb through it, and it's just sliding you know my boy is up. You know he's gon na come bother me. I have my little mixer bowl here and i have 30 developer and the bleacher i'm gon na use is the quick blue, just gon na use. One scoop, i'm gon na have i'm gon na. Do that like toothpaste, consistency not too thick, not too runny. I got my little bleach right here: let's go ahead and start bleaching that girl. So while i'm letting the the knots bleached, i'm gon na bleach the little piece in the back, also just to like see how the hair takes bleach and stuff like that, i'm just gon na take a little piece in the back. All right, i'm gon na use low, i'm gon na use some foil paper just to just so um y'all see what my baby did today see the thing, but anyway, i'm gon na use some just to separate that piece from the rest of the hair, because i Don'T want to bleach that part okay, so let's start bleaching the baby, i'm gon na. Let that sit and then we'll come back and see what it looks like and then we're gon na go ahead and um and wash the hair okay guys. So my hair has turned beautifully. I want you guys to see this magic right here like it took the bleach so well. I left it for about like 15-ish minutes and i wasn't counting, but that's my guess. You'Ll see this we're gon na wash it and see, but just look at it. Oh, my god, let's go wash it out right now, i'm just getting rid of the bleach before i start shampooing the hair, my little pack so no color coming out, but i haven't put the shampoo yet so i'm gon na put the shampoo now to do that. I'M gon na block my don't i'm not gon na let the water run, so i can act really see it. You know i'm using regular shampoo, i'm using this um garnier fructis um shampoo, just regular stuff, nothing special, just gon na put some under here like i need to hurry up i'm running out of space on my camera, all right, just washing it you guys can see Here all right, you guys i'm rinsing it out. This is the water, that's the water that came out from here, as you guys can see it's pretty clear. Now, i'm gon na condition the hair and i'm also using the garnier fructis on conditioner, just uh. So also you guys, while i'm washing the hair, i'm checking for shedding and there's none. You know there's no shedding at all. Like my hair is intact. You can see like little pieces here and there, but it's hair. You know there's gon na be at least one little strange, like three two three five little strings of hair. You know laying around, but it's nothing crazy. The hair is intact, i'm just gon na let the hair air dry all right guys. So this is how i simple my hair whenever i get hair from a vendor - and these are like all the steps that i take um, the the next step is just me actually wearing the hair and see how it actually, you know, moves and, like me, sleeping In the hair, just like the regular stuff you do when you're wearing um when you're wearing your hair. So that's what's left for me to do and then i'm obviously i can show you guys that right now, because i haven't the hair, is drying and i haven't installed it yet so from everything we've done so far. The hair passed all the tests and everything is just it's just good so far. The last thing left to do is me actually wearing the hair, and if that, if the hair also passes that test, then we got a vendor and if not, the search continues like. I said you guys, i will also have a video of me installing the hair so stay tuned for that and be be on the watch out for that too, and it's coming really soon and also i'm gon na be doing other stuff for my business, and i Will bring you guys along on my journey, my bit um? My business will be launching really really soon and i'm super super super duper excited. The main thing i had left to do was getting finding a vendor that i actually love that i actually love the hair and the hair is actually great, and that looks like it's about to be coming to an end. The stitch is about to be coming to end. That'S what i'm feeling, and i can't wait to you guys so anyway, you guys this is pretty much it for this video you guys.
