What'S up y'all welcome back to my channel and today we're gon na get into this red honey. Look at this red red head, honey, red, hot tamale. The only difference is, we did a little something different with this color, because a lot of people been telling me they're having a hard time getting their red to stay, because you know what red face this right here guys we did a little technique using the rig Color dye - you guys seen me do this in one of my previous videos, but this right here is going to get that red into that cuticle so that when you put your color on there, it's gon na stay, i'm gon na show y'all how to do it. Let'S get into it: okay, i'm gon na talk y'all through this whole process, we're to take this 613 blonde wig unit. It is machine wefted in the back, and i only have lace across the front like a frontal and it's already protected with the boho lace. Jelly, and you see me do that on other videos. I'M going to be using the rit, we're using red clothing dye, guys we're gon na do a test strand first, because you want to make sure that it's the red that you want this fire in your red baby. Yes, this color, like this red, is only 2.99 y'all can't beat that we're going to take some boiling hot water and we're going to go ahead and we're going to add our rib to it and then we're going to test the strand. This is going to save you guys so much money you get so much in this big bottle. This 2.99 bottle of red uh. Look at here. I'M testing it making sure that it's the color that i want it to be, and it is the longer you let it sit in there, the darker it will be so you know just um test. It also guys i'm going to do my roots first. So this is just a process that i want to do you can do it either way. This is just something i chose i'm going to be using the pulpa riot, i'm using the neor and i'm going to be using i'm mixing, i'm going to do manipec infrared. So i'm going to mix these two together because i don't want that red at the root to be too dark. As you can see, i'm going to use a small application brush and that way i can get close to that root. I mixed it up. You can do a test always do a test on a piece of hair. Now i'm going to go in and do my roots. I'Ve done this several times on other videos. I like to start in the middle. It'S so much neater to me, so you can try it this way or come up with your own way. That'S fine! But this right here just works best for me. I like to say neat as possible when i'm coloring the hair. Now that the lace is protected, it won't go totally down and that's why sometimes, when you're coloring like a lot of these lighter units, you'll have to go back in and sometimes you'll have to add, just depending on how much gel you use. Sometimes the gel kind of pushes through, which is good because you don't want to have the lace, all red, as you can see here, i'm doing the sides last because it's just neater for me this way and you can try it to see how it works for You make sure, when you're putting this on you're, not creating a line of demarcation. You can see here, as i get to my stopping point, i'm kind of feathering it out, i'm putting it closer to the root, and then you want to go in and feather it out, so that it doesn't have a lot of demarcation and it blends and look As natural as possible on this unit, guys i'm not going to even do the back, i'm just doing it the lazy way, i'm just doing the front the part that's going to show because it's tracks in the back, so i'm not even worried. I'M doing the side. Look how close i was able to get with that small brush. I used to cut my brushes and doing like this, but you can purchase them like that from your local beauty supply store. You can buy those small brushes, look how close i'm able to get. Even if i got some on there it wouldn't be a problem. Okay. So now i'm totally finished. Like i said i didn't do the back. Look i didn't do the back. I'M only doing the front so now that that's complete now we're ready to color the end. Okay, so we're going to go in with our hot water again, because we're ready to color the ends. Yes, we are so this is the part we're going to go in with this scarlet red clothing die right and we already tested the amount you can do another test, but i'm going to add a little of the hair color to it. The semi by many panic, go ahead and add just a little bit in there. You know it doesn't take much. I just want to get my red as deep as possible. This root is going to go inside this cuticle and we're also going to add something else. Special to this water to make it stick. Salt sea salt, add that salt in there that way, it's going to help it stay, and that way you won't have no bleeding baby. That is the name of the game. So now i basically like clipped the front out of the way i'm going to start in the back. First, i'm just going to dip it in there. You can do it sections at a time i just went as far as possible. This is just like my first coat and it's going to help save you so much money, so you don't have to buy bottles and bottles of hair color when it comes to red red fades. So easy, that's a known fat red face. So this is just a little trick that i have done in the past that has saved me, especially when it comes to red, because i'm still going to go on top with my color, but i'm initially going to do that. First layer, just dipping it in the red and i had a little uh hair color in there as well. If you notice, i kind of let it sit a little bit, maybe just a few minutes longer than we did the test, because i said earlier the longer you let it sit in there, the deeper the color is so i have to hold it because i want To i didn't want to just drop it in there because i don't want to interfere with my lace. I didn't want to get the writ on my lace, so that's why i did it. You know a section at a time. I did the roots by hand and i'm dipping it in the back with you know, just dipping it in there and i'm not using any brushes. So this is just easy, it's similar to watercolor and you can get it as deep in there as possible. You cannotice here i'm pushing it down in there without getting it on my lace, submerge it and you notice i'm holding it for dear life, because i don't want to drop it baby. You don't want to drop it, don't drop it, don't drop, it, don't drop it. Don'T drop it baby, this fire engine, red baby, y'all, better, get into this red and no matter how much i curl this hair like it does not come off. It does not get on my clothes. Yes, i love it. Love it love it. Y'All got ta! Try this, if you try this make sure you come back and let me know or dm me on instagram. I want to see if y'all try this. This is just a trick that i've been doing for so long. I did another uh hair color using the watercolor with the red in a previous video um. I didn't go back on top with color, but on this one, i'm going back on top and you'll see me do that shortly now, here i'm actually going to take the towel so that i can test it and see if it's the red that i want it To be - and it is if you notice here, i did a section at a time, so i did the back now we're going to go in and do the top where the lace is. I did it like that, because i did not want to get anything on. My lace and if you notice here where i did the roots, i brought the roots down a little bit because i'm a little clumpy and if you're real steady, you can get a shorter route. But i just did a it might be about two to three inches and i'm dipping it in there i'm doing a little sections at a time and then i'm taking and just towel dry because, like i said, i'm gon na go on top of this with some Color, but it's not gon na, take me using um three and four bottles of color, because this is pretty long. This is about 20 22 inches so that take that can take a lot of color, especially red, because you want to get it through and through right, and you don't have to worry about nothing. You ain't got to worry about me. You ain't got to worry about me. That'S what it's saying you ain't got to worry about me. Yes, yes, yes, fire engine, scarlet red! Look at that! Take your time! Dip it in there just take your time. This really doesn't take long. But i'm saying take your time so that you can get every inch of this 613 red baby. That'S what you want! You want to have this fire engine sexy red red head! Okay! So here i'm just rinsing it out with cold water, guys just doing a complete rinse, getting all the gel that was inside that uh unit. If you want to give it one little quick, shampoo, that's fine! It'S not going to hurt it, you know, but make sure you use cold water and rinse. It well look at that. That is just the red and a little bit of color in there and it did good, but i'm going on top of this with some color. I'M going to go on top of it with the infrared, but i'm going to mix it with conditioner. This is the conditioner. You can buy any kind of white conditioner. This way you don't have to use up all of your color, so i'm just doing like two. Just two and mixing it in the color and i'm gon na go on top and add that on top, so that i can make sure this color is in here, baby y'all: listen y'all! Better! Thank me for this baby because y'all gon na love how this especially if you are like into reds this is gon na take so long to fade, and this right here everything is already done. I don't even have to go in the room, but if you want to add some on there you can it won't hurt it just get it in there real good and like you, you don't even have to spend that much money on color. Now i know you could you saw how it looked when we just dipped it in the red, but i like for myself to be through and through, and that's why i do it like this. If you dip yours and you're happy with the color with just the red alone, that's fine you don't have to, but i like for mine to get in there baby i like for it to be through and through after i get it on there. I like for it to sit anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. After that you can shampoo, it condition it. Let it dry, you can let it air dry or you can put it under the dryer baby and then you're ready to style it and put it on all right guys. So we're going to be doing a ball cap, real, quick before this install. I want you guys to stay away from the hairspray doing the installs with your ball cap, because that hairspray contains alcohol. Our actual boho liquid gold will hold it tighter than that hairspray. So i want you guys to start doing that this actually will last you a long time guys and it's gon na hold it really well. I also notice people using glue to hold their caps together. You'Re wasting your glue guys. You can get a big bottle of the liquid gold and it will take you a long way on my ball cap. I like to start it off i'll put a little bit in the middle just to keep it from moving back then i'll cut that ear part out right there and i'll do it on both sides. The same way, try not to cut my ear that way. It'Ll hold it down and you've seen a lot of people do this before i just cut a small slit when i do it and then i work around it now the good thing about this: liquid gold, guys it's a it's a liquid gel and it's going to Hold it really really tight, it can get on your hair. It'S not going to hurt your hair, it doesn't have any formaldehyde. I'Ve been seeing um, you know people copying our liquid gold because boho is the captain. Yes, we are, but i've also noticed that they do have uh formaldehyde in there, so be careful purchasing um, you know different products that can help. You know harm you and we laying this cap down with this liquid gold. This is going to be the best thing. Okay, so what i like to do is cut it down the middle first. These are some dull scissors and i kind of prefer to work with some blue scissors, because i'm always scared. I'M going to cut myself i'm going to cut this off. I always start in the middle, it's so much easier and you won't have to worry about cutting yourself. Okay, so you notice some of the area is kind of rolled up. I'M just going to go in with some of the liquid gold and i'm going to just put that on there just to seal it in and make it disappear. Yes, i am. I'M gon na do one side at a time because you still can take a risk of it rolling or moving, but i don't think it's gon na go anywhere. This stuff is so strong but safe, and that's the good thing you'll dry until it's completely dry, all right. So now that i have it on it's sealed down. What i want to do is it's. You know from the drying. I want to go ahead and blend it with my cap. I'M gon na just take my contouring cream and i'm gon na go on here. Join it with a little makeup, because sometimes with the liquid gold, it gets a little white, and this helps conceal it. I'M just using my makeup wipes, please stay away from the alcohol guys constant, wiping with the alcohol is going to break the skin and cause irritation. The hair spray cause irritation. That'S why i want you guys to stay away from that with doing the ball caps, you can use merciless water, you can use witch hazel, they even have witch hazel wipes. You can purchase those. You want to use something gentle. I know a lot of people went to sea breeze, but that has a tingling effect as well just use something that is not going to irritate. You can even use facial wash to wash the area or wipe the area all right, so guys you're going to go in with your skin, protect. You cannot do an install without the skin protect guys. I know a lot of people have done it. Even if nothing happened to you, because i am the seller - and i know what it's great for when i give instruction i'm giving instruction for the general population, so we want to make sure we stay on task when you're doing these steps. Okay, so you're just going to spray it on either a cotton towel or i'm just using paper towel dab it on. You can do that two to three times it's gon na operate or function. Just like a deodorant, it's going to block sweat, it protects the skin and it blocks sweat. Okay, so you want to make sure you do this step, don't skip it all right. We got the fire engine fire engine fire engine red right. It turned out so good guys, like you, got ta, try this little trick, because a lot of people have issues with the red uh fading, and for me this has been like a lifesaver, especially when i don't want to have to go in and spruce up that Red so often so this really helped. I always cut the lace first, you don't have to do that if it doesn't work for you, but sometimes it's hard for me to see. So i'm go ahead and cut this lace all right, so i'm cutting that lace. Again. I know some of you guys put yours on before, but it's up to you. This is not one of those things where that you have to do. I can see better this way all right. So if you notice it looks like i need a little tint, i'm going to use my bow hole, lace, tint. What i like to do guys i like to use a brush and sometimes i'll, do it after it's on. This is a hd lace. It is from my website, and the thing about it is hd. Lace is thinner, so sometimes i like to tint it after it's on because i'm afraid that it's going to be too dark. So i either do makeup or tint, but i prefer the tint. I don't know why i can't work with the lace uh being on. You know like all in my eyes. I can't work with it. So i'd rather do it like this, so what you can do is you can take i'm using white for the camera, but you can get a beige one and just mark off like where your glue is gon na go and you're gon na put the glue right Behind it that works for me, like i said this is one of those things. If you choose to do it, you know before or after it's fine. I find that comparing both ways, i find that doing it. This way, i don't have a lot of lace left. So i don't have to go back and cut extra legs, and sometimes i don't have to go back and glue too much either all right. So now we are ready to go in with our bow hole, active! That'S what i'm using guys make sure y'all look out for the new labels. We got new labels. Also. I want you to keep in mind that these right here are refillable. Okay, i've told you guys this before. If it's your first time here with me, let me show you how that works, this right here, pops off and you can feel it. You can feel it with even the 1.3 ounce. But this one right here: you can fill it up and pop that top right back on and it can be used as a carry-on. You can take it everywhere. You go that's! What'S so good about this little brow, size travel size all right, so i do notice a lot of people when they're doing the glue y'all have glue everywhere globs of glue everywhere. But i want you to take note this right here. This is just one little dot of glue okay, so it will go a long way. Just imagine all those big dots that you guys are using how you are miss you like using too much glue if you use too much glue, it's not going to dry properly and you're, not going to get the hole that you're going for. So it's important that you do one at a time like this one right here i put that right there and you can just drag it on down same thing on the other side. Now, when i do mine, i like for it to dry clear before i add another coat and if i want a really good hole like on the corners i'll, add tape and i'll do that on here as well, i'm only going to do two coats. I don't wear my wigs that long, because i do a lot of demos, but i feel like if you're trying to get a two to three week hold three to four layers is perfect. If it touches hair, it's gon na take longer to dry. If your body is hot, while you're applying it's gon na take longer to dry and it's gon na disturb the whole so make sure you your body, temperature is cool because it's water-based and it will affect the ph. Your ph will affect the glue. If you are hot, what you can do is you can take a glass of cold water and drink it and it'll instantly cool you down. Now that i know where my second coat is gon na go, i'm just gon na go ahead and wipe these dots off. We don't need them, you don't have to do it like this guys. This is just easier for me and i notice a lot of people do theirs like this as well. This is one of those things like. I said what you know if it works for you. Do it i didn't use a blow dryer. I personally feel like when you use a blow dryer, it makes the glue uneven and it dries uneven. So i like for it to air dry and now my middle and one of my sides is already dry. I can go ahead and apply my second coat. I know exactly where i'm going if it gets on the cap, you know in that crevice it can take a little longer to dry as well. So the one thing that i always tell people is to use tape. If you need to go further back instead of just putting glue on top of the cap, because your hair is under there, this was designed for people who don't have hair, and i know i say that a lot. But if it's your first time here, you didn't know that so this was designed for people who don't have hair with that being said, if you have hair, you don't want to put it on your hair. It'S designed for skin a lot of us just wear it for trend right, and so, if you're going to wear for trend, you want to make sure that you are taking all the necessary precautions to protect your existing hair. Make these layers thin, don't make them thick. I forgot to put my tape on my sides, but we're going to go ahead and do it because i kind of want to show you guys, because a lot of people have a hard time with the hair lifting on the sides. I'M just going to put it there and put tape on top take my bow hole, lace, tape and i'm going to cut it in half like you've. Probably seen me do on other videos and if you haven't we're about to cut it now, i'm only going to use one tab you're going to get 40 of these. It has the actual slit in the middle. You don't want to cut with that groove or that slit you want to cut against it. It just depends on how you hold it, because this way it's going to make it easier for it to come off. I'M just gon na put it on top of the cap like right in that corner, just to get an extra hole and i'll put a little glue on top. You can put it on the skin that helps as well, but i know i usually lift right there. So this is going to help with that now put a little bit of the boho on top see this way i can go on top of the tape and i'm not getting any glue on my hair. You got to take like precautions guys because i know a lot of you guys are wearing for trend right, but just protect yourself. Even if nothing has happened to you, you just never know. Sometimes you're, not careful, you're, not taking your time. You might be having a bad day and you don't want to pull your hair out because it is possible, even though this is a safe water-based glue. If too much was used, it's a possibility and we don't wanna have that happen. So once that dries clear, then we're ready to go ahead and put on our lace, so we're gon na go directly on top of the glue and i'll do one side at a time, and i'm going to go back on top of here with my tent. I wanted to wait to do the tent now cut those sides off all right. So sometimes, if you do get a little extra space, you could take your bow hole, spatula and you can actually get up under there and just add a little glue. It'Ll turn clear. Really, quick, don't use hot air, even if you use hot hair and nothing happened. I just explained to you: if the body is hot, the ph affects the glue, so if they're somebody who normally gets like really really hot or they're hot in nature, you don't want to put hot air on them. Okay, because it's going to affect the glutes. So i just generally just tell everybody cold air after i do that for about five minutes i like to tie it down. This is going to press the actual glue into the lace and help create that milk. From that point, you can style it, but if you notice, i already styled mine, so we still want to give it that time to let it melt all right. So now we're gon na go in with our bowl hold lace. Tint. What i like to do is i like to use a brush this way when i'm using the actual lace, tint or hd lace, because on lighter skin i feel like it's like it can get dark, and i only do this after my lace has settled and that's Why i put the band on, i don't want to do baby hair, so i'm just going to mold my edges with the bow hole, lace, jelly! You don't have to do baby hair, i don't always do baby hair. I just mainly just put this on my edges and then i stroke them back. That'S it. I'M gon na go in with my easy route and a lot of times guys when you are protecting your um, your lace when you're doing like hair coloring. Sometimes it can appear wider afterwards, because some, not all of the color, goes down to the root. So what you can do is you can take this easy root pen and you can fix that like super easy, i'm actually going to like get some of the product out and you can go in to get closer to close this part up. I just love how the red is red through and through. Even after i put my curling iron on it, it did not pull any of the red off or appear to pull any of the red off and that's because of the coloring technique that we did. So you guys got to try this and let me know when you do tag me on instagram or dm me, and let me know what you think, because red is a color that people have a hard time when it comes to fading.
