Hey everyone. I wanted to record the tutorial on how I got this cute messy bun with my lace wig. This is a 360 wig from WoW African, so big shout out so African for sponsoring this video and sending me this wig to use for this video. So, let's get started first and foremost. First thing you want to do is begin to cut the lace off of your wig. You want to cut the excess lace off and you want to leave about 1/4 of an inch of lace away from the hairline next thing. You want to do is conceal your knot, so you can do the short cut way like I like to do often, which is just use concealer or foundation, or you can actually bleach your nuts. I have a video on how to do so, but, like I said, your girl does not have time to do that, every single time for every single wig. So this is what we're gon na do for this week. So for me personally, the wig is always a little bit too big, so I like to cut out the nape comb and the wig so that there's not a hump in the back of my head when I do this particular style. So if your wig does not fit perfectly to your head, like most of ours, will not you need to cut out the excess, hair and lace, there's always extra around my side where an area? So that's what you'll see me removing next. It just comes way too far down for my hair, so I'm gon na cut that off on the left side, and then I'm gon na move to the right side and cut it off. You want the perimeter of the wig to match your natural hairline or the perimeter of your hairline as much as possible. That'S what's going to make your wig look much more natural, so do not skip this step if your wig does not fit perfectly so after you finish with all that nexus time to apply the wig use whatever you want in this particular video, I'm going to use The gorilla snot and I'm gon na apply this all around the perimeter of my head and I have to apply a little bit on my natural hairline too, because if I apply it too far up then I'll be pulling my wig too far down on my forehead And that is not a good look, so do not do that. Then. I'M gon na pull the wig on top of the gel. I'M gon na hold it in place so that it dries. I always use a blow dryer on this part to facilitate in the drying process. Otherwise it takes forever and you don't want to be sitting there, holding it down forever. So now the wig is secured down and it looks good already, I'm loving it I'm liking it, and so now we're just gon na get ready to pull it up into the bun. So this hair has a lot of body. So I'm taking my Paul Mitchell styling foam and I'm placing it all over the hair that I'm gon na brush down that way. It lays more flat and it looks more natural when I pull it up in the ponytail to place inside the bun. For me personally, I always have trouble getting my sovereign areas to stay secure, so you're gon na see me leave those out, but that's only because I'm just gon na apply a little more gorilla snot to it later. Now you don't need to focus on how good the ponytail or bun looks right now. You just need to pull it up loosely and I promise you we'll get to making it look bomb in just a second here. So next, I'm just taking my mascara brush to lay out my baby hairs and I'm using the Paul Mitchell. Sculpting foam and I mean, if you're still using a toothbrush girl, come on now put that toothbrush down, go brush your teeth and use this mascara brush and see how your life changes. Trust me. So this next step is very important for two reasons: you need to tie down your wig reason. Number one is because you don't want your bun turning out like a helmet head, tying it down very tight, it's going to ensure that it lays more flat so that it looks more natural reason number two. When you have this scarf on and you begin to pull your hair up into the ponytail, the scarf is going to keep it in place so that you can make sure your ponytail is tight, so that your bun looks more sleek, natural and good. So next you just want to begin to place your hair in a bun, whichever type of bun you like I'm, going for a messy bun. Look! So that's what I'm gon na do and then I'm gon na use bobby pins to secure the bun down and in place. So after you've had the wig on for about a few minutes or so then you can untie it and just look at how laid your full head is gon na be like trust me, then this is just an up-close-and-personal look at the baby hairs and the hairline Of the wig, I was super satisfied with how it turned out here's a back view. Of course you can do a little bit more to the back. If you won't pull some hairs out, add some more gel, whatever the case may be.
