Have something special coming up this week? If you are a loyal subscriber girl, i got you to me: there's a difference between a natural hairline on a wig and a realistic, looking hairline. And if you don't know the difference, then you probably have just been walking around with a pre-plug hairline. So i'm gon na show you how to take your hairline from this and share with you how i recreate a hairline on a wig, so it'll look like a realistic hairline. Today'S video i chose to work with a wig that is a non-silky texture, because i want you all to see how realistic this wig can look starting from the beginning going to the end. If you would like to see how i get these results, make sure you hit that subscribe button and keep on watching. So the first thing i'm going to do is evaluate the hairline of this wig, i'm starting on a wig. That is definitely wet. You don't want to do this on a dry wig, there's a couple reasons why you don't want to do this on dry hair, one because you won't be able to control the hair when it's dry and two, because when the hair is wet, the knots are more Delicate so they will come out more easy. I do feel like you get the best results when doing this. If you have already bleached the knots on your wig, the reason being is because a lot of times, if you bleach the knots after then you may over tweeze the hairline, and you don't want to do that. This wig do come with pre-bleached knots. So if you don't know how to bleach your knots, you don't have to worry about that. Another thing i want to share with you. If you look closely the knots on this wig are very small. They are like invisible knots, so the smaller the knots the easier they are to tweeze and look more natural around that hairline, because a lot of times, if the knots are too thick, they can just look like a hot mess around the hairline. I'M just be honest. Alright, so, let's begin so, i like to add a little bit of hair mousse around the hairline before i begin, because this is going to make the hair lay flat so that i can see what i'm doing and also it just keeps the hair wet longer, because A lot of times the hairline can dry faster than the rest of the hair. If you are looking for some good recommendations check the description box below this video, i put all of my products i like to use down there now. This tweezing method is not the normal tweezing method that you see everyone else doing. This one is going to take a little bit more detail because you're going to have to be very specific, so i'm sectioning the hair in three sections. I'M going to do a section on the side and i'm going to do a section at the top and also a section on the other side and make sure to kind of pull it out the way, so it won't interfere with what i'm doing now. As i'm parting, the hair, i am noticing that the pre-bleached knots that this would come with are very brown, so i may have to go back and correct that later on, i may throw a clip of that inside today's video. So if you need to know how to do that, you can alright. So before you begin this, let me just say: go ahead and throw on some jazz music put on your favorite tv show, because this is going to take a little bit of time. It'S not a rushed process, so the first thing we're going to do is part away the front part of the hairline i'm parting, about an inch of hair out of the way and the reason i'm doing this is because i'm going to work backwards here, i'm not Going to start the front, i'm going to start from here and work my way down, as you can see in the parting, the knots are small throughout this whole cap. So you don't have to worry about overly huge knots when it comes to this texture. I will be sure to put this wig down in the description box for you with any discounts when it comes to recreating a hairline. You definitely can take some pictures that you may find online. I like to search, maybe hairline pictures of people's hairlines just to see where i want to go with this or you can just use your own hairline. But if not a quick search of different hairlines can give you an idea of what you can go for when creating your hairline on your wig. You want to make sure that the tweezers that you are using are new and not worn out. I will be sure to put my favorite kit that i like to use in the description box these ones - i didn't have for a pretty good minute now to start off, i'm just going to do the regular tweeze and just tweeze out some hairs. I'M not doing anything specific here, i'm just kind of thinning it out and this area right here i want to lay flat, so it's very important to take out as much hair as i possibly can, without creating a bald spot. Of course. Now, when it comes to tweezing you're going to create little bald spots here and there that's just the way it's going to be, however, you want to make sure you are not creating big, bald spots. Okay, now tweezing can be a bit tricky because a lot of times when you comb out the strands throughout the next wash or so, you will notice more hair strands coming out. So i like to use a small fine-tooth comb to comb out the hairs or i like to use a brush to brush out the hairs to make sure all of the loose hairs out of there. What i did here is, i went across one time pulling hair and then i go back the opposite way, and i do this probably about three or four times it just depends on how much hair is in this section. So if you are working with a density that is really thick, you may need to go over it several times that one section, but if your density is lights, you may not need that many times, so just pay attention to how much hair is in that area And how much you need to take out, so this is where the detail comes into play when it comes to creating the hairline or recreating the hairline a lot of times. People would just part the hair like this and tweeze, and that gives okay result. But if you want detail, you definitely want to be very aware of how you're parting, so i'm going to take a piece of hair, put it top a piece of hair put at the bottom, and when i begin to tweeze this, you will start to see how It changes the dynamic of the hairline, so i'm going to go into one of those small sections and begin to tweeze out a little bit of hair, don't tweeze out too much because you will take out too much hair in a section you just want to take Out enough, where it thins out that small section so with this section, unlike the last section that i did, you want to be very light-handed with how much hair you're taking out i'm not trying to really take out excessive hair here, because they're just small sections that I parted away, so i'm taking out just as little as i can when you're adding detail, you don't want to be heavy-handed with the tweezing. There'S one rule to this. When you want to get rid of a lot of hair, you be heavy-handed when it comes to tweezing. When you want to add detail, you do not be as heavy-handed so i'm going to take a break on talking, i'm going to continue the same process. You all. Can just watch and i'll be back in a second to go over the next step, wow at the front section. I did separate this hair now. This hair will act as edges or baby hairs, i'm going to thin it out and then i'm going to shorten them down with a razor. When it comes to me creating edges, i like them to be as wispy as possible. I don't like overly thick edges or baby hairs so now that i'm done with this section, i'm going to move on to the sides and no we're not going to do the same steps we did in the center. The size is a bit different. A lot of times with the size it can interfere if there's too much hair with the application of the wig and how flat it lay. You want the size to be different than what you did at the top and of course you want the hairline to look different from the center. So i'm going to part in a diagonal line and then i'm going to tweeze that area going in a downward motion. Sometimes the way you tweeze, the hair also will determine how flat the hair will lay or how natural the hair will lay so tweezing. The sides like this will make it wispy enough where it lays in a natural flow, as you all seen in my thumbnail picture and as you've seen at the beginning of this video, i'm gon na, take my brush and brush out the extra hairs that i tweezed Out and as you can see, everything is laying beautifully and you can see how the hairline flows compared to the other side. So this is why the way you tweeze is very important when it comes to adding detail. So since this side is done, i think i'm going to do the other side off camera, but i definitely want you all to see the difference here. This side is a pre-plucked natural hairline and then the other side is what i consider a realistic hairline. So everything is complete and, to be honest, it didn't take me that long, i will say, give yourself an hour. If you have time, if you don't have time, just don't even try it okay, but this is the outcome and i really like it um. So what i'm gon na do now is go ahead and just add some more of that hair mousse, and this is going to help get rid of any of those hairs. That'S maybe still stuck in there, but so far everything looks good. What i like to do now is just go back and remove any knots that are visible at the front of the hairline, because you want it to flow very natural. Now again, this hair is the yaki straights and i absolutely love the texture and it dries so fast. So you don't have to worry about drying time, taking forever i'm going to go ahead and blow dry, this hair. Normally, i would let my wigs air dry. If you follow me, i know you didn't heard me say this so many times, but it's true. I like to air dry, my wigs more so than blow dry them, but for the sake of the video timing, i take a blow dryer to it. Now i did tie down the hairline so that the hairs won't move while the blow dryer is drying the rest of the hair, because i want that area to lay flat again. This wig is a 360 lace wig. It did come with pre-bleached knots. It comes with the combs, the adjustable straps and it has wefting in the center. So we're going to go ahead and apply this wig. I do have on my wig cap under my wig, so today's application is going to be a bit different. I don't want to really glue down this wig, but at the same time i don't want to not have anything secure in it, but, as you can see, the hairline looks perfect, like it is just beautiful okay, so i'm going to go ahead and push it back With the hot comb, and then we are going to apply this so when i was out shopping, i found these small scissors and i'm glad i did because they are perfect for cutting very close to the hairline. When removing that extra lace, i will try to find some similar to these, because these are so good and put them below in the description box. Now the way i'm cutting is not straight across and it's not zigzag. I'M trying my best to follow the hairline that i just created, so i'm following the strands of hair instead of cutting straight across and instead of just doing a zigzag and that's important too, i may have to end up taking this off and you know so. I can see better for the application - i'm not gluing this down, i'm just taking some gel and i'm pressing the hair over the edge of the lace and then drying it now. I know you may be like well, what's the difference between applying it like that and actually putting the gel over your forehead? Well, with this method, it's less messy and, like i said, i'm not really doing anything except for pushing the gel onto the strands of hair to cover the lace and then drying it like it's as simple, as that like this is the first time i actually tried This and i like this method - a lot because it don't require any special skills. Okay, it's just helping you to lay that lace down so that it won't be seen now. The lace color on this because of the knots and because of the lace itself, is a brown. So if you are darker than me, you are going to love how well and natural it looks okay, but for me um, i do have to go back with a little bit of foundation powder so that it can match my forehead area better and with all the Tweezing, i did, as you can see, the parting still is good, there's no bald spots in my parting um. I do, however, am going to go back and just thin it out a little bit, because i do feel like it's a little bit too tight there and i'm going to also go down that parting with a little bit of foundation powder. But everything just looks so good, like it just looks really good. I love this, so i hope this was very helpful stay tuned. If you would like to hear my final thoughts on this hair overall, this is my new 2020 technique on tweezing the hairline, and i have to say i absolutely like it, because it's very precise and given the hairline detail, rather than just taking hair out, i think, Gives a more realistic look compared to a natural look for me. I always felt like it's a difference between a natural hairline on a wig and then a realistic hairline on a wig, and this right here is what i consider a more realistic hairline. Now i could have thinned it out a lot more than this over time. Anyways as you go along and wash the wig, you will notice that more hair come out that hairline, so you don't want to over thin it because over time you will lose more hair. So this wig today that i share, is from genius wigs. So this wig is a 16 inch wig. It stops about right below or at my boob area. The density is 150 density, and also this is a visible knot. Wig, the lace, i believe is regular, but the lace color is like dark brown. I did need to go back and lighten up the lace just because it did not match the knots as you've seen throughout the video was very brownish, so that is a problem usually. For me, this is a yaki straight now on the website. It states that the wig comes with a pre-plucked hairline, as you guys seen at the beginning of this video. The hairline was not pre-plucked like if they consider that pre-plucked, i don't know, but to me after i tweeze the hairline. This is what i consider a plucked hairline. It just looks really good um. So if you follow the techniques in today's video, you have to be very patient with. This is not something that you want to rush. It'S something that you want to take your time with. Normally i watch me a netflix movie and i just take my time with it play some relaxing music. Sometimes this can be soothing. For me, the texture of this hair is very soft. Like very soft, i did not experience any tangles. However, the parting space stops right here, so i believe this is about a four inch parting. So when i was tweezing a hairline each time that i combed the hair, i noticed that i would hit the wefts. I don't like that, because when you hit the west with the comb, sometimes you can loosen the threads on the um track hair which can cause shedding over time. So i like a six inch deep parting, but i mean this is fine and then on this side you do not get that much parting space. The wefts, i believe, starts right here, so you basically only have like this hairline to work with when it comes to this cap. Now this is a 360 lace, wig um. There are two types of 360 lace wig. This one right here is the one that has the shorter parting space. It'S a newer 360 lace wig. They have a six inch deep parting. I love that one, because you get so much more space. I did not glue down the hairline with any wig adhesive. Barely even touched it with the hair gel, i mostly focused on taking the hair gel on the hair just to press down the edges, so that i won't have that line around my head from the lace just because this is regular lace. So that's what you've seen so this is not glued down to me, like maybe some people consider this glue down. However, i don't consider this blue down um, but if you don't want to wear it with glue, you can do the same thing that i did in today's video or you can check out my previous video from thursday. I will pop it right here out to you that video i show a completely glueless method and how to get your wigs to lay flat. So i will be sure to put all the information for this wig in the description box be sure to pay attention to this week's videos, because i will have something special coming up this week. So if you are a loyal, subscriber girl, i got you um so be sure to check out this week's videos coming up, and i will see you all back in my next video bye.
