I love my 360 wigs. I love doing ponytails, so i'm excited. So let's go ahead and thank the sponsor for this video. Okay, we have arabella hair and they sent me a deep wave 360 unit. Now, with all the 360 wigs i get, i normally like take a straight razor and cut out the jaw strings and the comb in the back, because if you don't do that, then it's not going to be like conducive to a nice ponytail you're not going to Be able to glue it down on the neck, so it has to be like pure lace all the way around. So with my models permission, of course, i am just taking off any extra hair, that's on her neck. That will interfere with the glue actually sticking to the nape as long as possible. Now i know it's kind of scary like taking a razor to someone's hairline, it's like whoa, but i always feel like the nape is like you know, i'm saying who cares like i'm? Not cutting off all the hair back there, i'm not giving you a taper cut, you know, but one thing i won't do actually damn. I can't even say that is cut the hairs in the front. Now someone actually told me to do that. One time you know what i'm saying and i did it and it made the wig come out really nice, it stuck well now some people will say no. I don't want my baby hairs cut at all. I don't want no hair on my face trimmed. So it's all up to your model or your client and what she feels comfortable with now in an instance where your model doesn't really want, like none of her baby hairs cut, but she has a low hairline, i would say just split it in half. You know split it in half and some of her hair just has to be outside the lace. Some of it is probably going to be touching glue, but that's just you know what has to be done. Sometimes, sometimes you can leave all the baby hair out. You know in front of the lace and kind of like blend it in with the baby hair on the wig. So you know, however, you can finesse it girl finesse, it alright cool, so right now the stocking cap is already glued on. So i'm just taking some light brown foundation powder and covering it now i have to do this like quite often with these beige caps, because she's too light for the medium brown but she's darker than the actual beige cap, so sometimes just to get it nice and Perfect, i add some powder on it, so it can really be invisible. But even if i didn't add powder i mean it'll still be fine, but you know i at least try to get it as perfect as possible. So now i'm doing the same thing to the nape, like i did to the front of the hairline: go ahead and apply the liquid lace glue right outside the hairline, where it's not really touching the hair. You know i'm saying: try not to get it on the hair as well as you can, i'm going to spread it out and wait till it turns clear and apply our stocking cap. So some of y'all probably noticed that i haven't always used a got to be spray after i stick on the cap like to the glue, but i realized that it actually like makes the cap stick a lot better, but before i can actually cut the cap off, I have to keep the stocking cap in place because the holding spray will make it wet quote unquote and make it slip back. So when you spray the holding spray, make sure the cap is in a position where it doesn't move so either have you know your client hold it or you hold it until it's fully dry, you know hit it with the blow dryer and then, when it gets, Like you know, nice and hard and sturdy then cut the cap off all right. So now that the stocking cap is on now, it's time to put on this lace all right. So i did two coats of glue off camera, but i only show one just to you know cut down the time, but i have to make sure i reiterate that so y'all don't make no mistakes at home and the thing is right when you're doing a 360 Wig, you have to make sure that it fits in the front and the back before you glue the front, because you don't want to glue the front and all of a sudden the lace doesn't fit all the way in the back. And it's like what the heck do. I do now so before i press the lace. I make sure that the back is going to be able to be like fully covered, so i kind of like pull it just to see, and then i see, okay, where is it sitting in the front? Is it sitting in the front and the back at the same time? Can i place it here? Is it too far up? Is it you know too far back, so you have to be a little bit more careful with the 360 wigs all right. It looks like the back is gon na fit pretty good. You know i don't have to pull the lace like with all my might just to make it fit, and that's good because when your model moves her head around, you don't want the lace to just instantly. Like pop off the glue like it should fit really really comfortable. So one thing i have all my models: do is put their head down before i glue it, because if you glue it when their head is up the moment they put their head down, it's going to make the lace pop up right. So you have to give it a little bit of mobility and flexibility all right, so we went ahead and dried. The first coat now we're adding our second coat and i'm showing this one, because i want y'all to see that i'm applying the glue like on the cap, i'm making it wide because with the bottom, like with the nape you got, ta be like you got ta Make it a little bit more stronger? You know it's a lot of mobility back there like, so the lace can lift up a lot quicker than the front, so i'm adding two thick coats and i'm making them like an inch wide all right now for even more security. I pulled the wig down a little bit in the back and now i'm tacking it down just so. You know it can just be as secure as possible and she's going on vacation she's about to be in the sun and in the water and stuff and listen. You know i want her to be secure about her install. I don't want her to think damn it. I can't do nothing i'm about to sweat this wig off, like i'm really trying to make it as strong as possible, so she's good. So for the baby hair all right, i i guess i'm not feeling the whole like swoops in the back type of baby hair. Like i like soap in the front, but for the back i like going for a more natural look like just like an effortless, you know hair kind of just back there. You know, maybe i will do swoops in the back one of these days. I don't know, but today we're just gon na go with the loose hair in the back and then swoops in the front. Now for these baby hairs, i'm using the got to be gel well got to be glue gel. I love it, you know. Listen, i don't think i will use anything else at this point now. Sometimes i might use tropical roots if she's going for a fluffy look, but if she wants her baby hairs to be there and not go nowhere, which is like ninety percent of my models, then i'm just going to go ahead and use the got to be glue. So um, okay, i'm literally obsessed with these baby hairs like hold on hold on real, quick, all right. So of course we're styling it in a ponytail today, but it's going to be wet, so i'm styling it wet. You know i'm not going to bother using the hot comb or anything i'm just straight using water in my tropical root setting foam so a little bit of foam and water got on the lace. So i'm going to take my blow dryer and dry that out real quick, because i don't want no problems all right. So here is my little dilemma. Okay, the wig i mean there's nothing wrong with the wig, it's just hard to put up in a ponytail. If all the hair isn't wet because i'm trying to like comb all the hair out with this paddle brush and half wet half dry hair is not easy to comb out. So i have to get everything like wet wet without getting the lace wet. So i just had her lean over you know, so it's easier for me to put the hair up into a ponytail and then once i have all the hair going in the same direction, then she can put her head back up and i can try to do The ponytail and remember y'all, it may look like i'm making it tight, but i'm really not it's really just an illusion. When the hair is wet, it just looks tighter and it looks neater. You know. So it's not really tight and i have two tacks at the bottom and two texts at the top, which i didn't show on camera, which i just realized. But that's to you know, make the lace secure and allow it not to push back. When i do the ponytail all right so she's good now, i'm going to wrap her up and sit her under the dryer for about 15 minutes. Just so it can be. You know, nice and secure. You know what i'm saying.
