I wasn’t allowed to have make up or do my hair or leave the house, etc((you may have guessed somewhat where this was going minus the A word.))as I wanted until I left my parents at 18/1/2 yrs old and course I had no $ to go to the salon so I made a few mistakes & scared myself into not doing anything else for another 2 decades. Then I finally grew my hair out(which I couldn’t before as I had health issues which prevented my hair from growing & what I had was so thin from falling out I had to keep cutting it. My self esteem seriously suffered.((there were a lot of extra serious health conditions included during this time also))I spent every tiny ounce, and gram of personal energy on my beautiful much prayed for husband&children(family), & by the time I was 40, I had a major depressive breakdown. Was hospitalized basically catatonic.2.5 months later I was changed. Since then, I’ve slowly here and there been learning to take care of myself for and as odd as it still feels most of the time, the good feeling is huge, and I have to talk myself into allowing ME to feel that Good Feeling about what I look like or wear. I wish sometimes I could have gone back and supported that kind abused young girl and stayed with her and taught her one day things will change in her favour. There’s a life lesson in there somewhere lol. ♥️❣️ Love yourselves girls no matter what anyone else says or tries with you, make sure you can get your needs met for self care!! From the smallest thing, to being able to have a professional do you hair and teach you a nice way to wear your make up and care for your skin thst WONT COST an arm&leg! Don’t let anyone get in the way of your safety or personal care etc. You deserve happiness and self care & self-worth is where it begins. Keeping it in & suffering w/fear & guilt etc will make you sick @the least &end your precious life much too early@the worst. I promise❤️ & valuing yourself is 100% important. You NEED THAT FOUNDATION IN YOUR HEART, SPIRIT&MIND.❣️
