Hi guys welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is chantel, so today is all about giving the people what they want. So in my last video, so many of you guys commented and asked um where my hair was from a few people on my instagram post of dm me like asking about the hair. So i just thought: it'd be good to kind of just give you guys the details and give you a closer look into the hair as well. So first of all, this hair is from new hair. I'Ve worked with them for a few years now, the most consistent hair company, like ever like most of the hair that you guys see in my video, whether it's the blonde one, whether it's the red one. Obviously this one, i forgot, what majority of them are new hair. So, first of all, you guys know i have been loving their hair for a while, so um i mean the thing: is the hair speaks for itself, as you guys will see here and be able to make your own decision? But for me personally, i am in love with this wig now, first of all, i want you guys to see how versatile this hair is now this hair actually came like this right and i'm going to show you guys how i got it to this now. This side is like five days old of curls. This is what i have styled on camera with you guys, which you'll see in a second, but in terms of the actual specs. This is called the ohima wig and it is 22 inches of kinky straight hair and it is a 5x5 swiss lace closure. Now one thing about me guys that you need to know - and i think i've said it before i am the laziest wig wearer that has ever seen wigs like in life like people, think they're lazy and then they meet me. Okay, i want to do the bare minimum i want to throw on. I want to go. I don't want to be stressing about glue. I have abandoned frontals like i've moved on i've freed myself from their bondage and i'm all about the 5x5 closures. Like guys, can we get into it like this? You know when people say glueless wigs like i feel like they never really mean it, but this is a glueless wig like so i'm gon na come in a bit closer, so you guys can see. Now, as i mentioned it's 5x5 now, you can customize this and make it look as laid as you want, like i have had days when i have glued it down, and it kind of obviously gives that extra like melt to the lace. Obviously, um slicking down your own edges and just to make everything blend more and you can also tint lace as well, using like any kind of lace. Tint um. We used the um wig gurus lace, tint, so there's so many options to customizing this hair to make it like look as natural as possible, but i feel like even by itself, like obviously like i said, i've done nothing but stick it on it's already, given what It needed to give um and then kind of to finish off. You can use your hot comb. Obviously you can use heat on the hair, of course, and um. I also use the carry care wax stick just to get rid of any flyaways. Now this hair is just it is so low maintenance, and it's like even with the curls, you can still run your fingers through it. You can run a brush a brush through it and i feel like the older, the curls get like the more natural they look and because it is that kinky texture, i feel like it just it just really comes together with these curls. They just work so yeah. Let me get into kind of the up close and personal details with you, and then we will get into styling. Also also you guys can see. As i mentioned, this is a 5x5 closure. Now the lace is looking pretty red on camera, and but we did kind of tint that to match my skin tone. So you can see how it comes itself um, just here and then yeah you can see. We used a spray lace tip from the wig gurus to customize that lace and then on the inside. The cap itself is kind of. Let me move away um, it's kind of that dome, spandex kind of cap and then you've got the elastic band all the way around the edge, which kind of helps keep the hair secure. Now you can see at the bottom that overlap actually allows you a little bit of stretch here. Um but honestly, like the hair feels so secure like and um yeah. It really gets the job done. Okay, so just for context. These curls are about five days old. So just bear that in mind, like just in terms of the definition that you have, but you can see that the hair, like really really holds the curls now. What i wanted to do was kind of show you guys literally exactly how, like the transformation happens, so i've gone ahead and straightened just this front section of the hair. You guys don't need to watch me do all of it. I know people have complained about my long videos. Okay, so we gon na keep it short and cute um, but i just wanted you to see as well like look at how much body and movement you have with this hair, it's literally it's giving relaxed hair. It'S given silk press like i feel like if i hadn't injured myself in gymnastics when i was eight. This is how my hair would have been. I mean i feel like it was just that one injury, that's holding me back. Otherwise, this would have been my full potential like this is where i would have been, but anyway we digress. So i'm gon na show you guys exactly how i get these curls and i'm gon na be using the um chopstick styler, which is this kind of skinny. Little wand, i will put a link for it below this. One was gifted um, but i also actually before i get into that. I wanted to show you guys these straighteners by the way hello, like you, guys, saw how slick it made the hair um. So these are the t3 micro id straighteners and they are they're fancy guys they are so fancy. So look you can see all these buttons here. This straightener makes noise. Hopefully the light will adjust, but basically you're able to customize the straighteners as um. According to the texture of your hair, whether your hair has been um colored, whether it has been chemically treated and also obviously the heat adjusts. So once you input kind of those um the characteristics of your hair, it will literally tailor the set into your hair, and i feel like every other straightness is literally like you can just control the temperature. That'S it, but i feel like especially for black people when our hair has so many comes in so many different textures styles. We'Re always experimenting. I feel like this is like the perfect tool to cater to our needs, so um definitely definitely check them out, but yeah. So let me get my gloves, so i don't burn myself first and let me tell you guys: if there's one thing you don't want to do with these chopstick curlers is use your hands. Okay, because you are gon na the chances of burning yourself are so high, especially because of like how tight kind of you get to the actual wand so um, i often use these colors on my natural hair. If you've seen my reel on instagram, i use this for, like a half a half down um kind of fringe kind of style, whatever um so yeah, i really like them. You can control the temperature on these as well, which is perfect. So what you're going to do is you're going to hold the curlers at an angle and literally it's so easy, just like keep twisting the hair on itself and go all the way around and you're just gon na hold it at the end, and it just gives You these really nice springy, curls and obviously, when you finger comb them and brush them out like they really they give body okay, they really do so hold it for a few seconds and then i am just gon na. Let go and let it come down and you guys can see, see how tight that curl is and literally that's kind of what you do all the way throughout your hair. So obviously always curl away from your face um, and so i kind of go halfway. So obviously, this side, i'm curling kind of backwards to the right and then on the other side, i obviously swap hands and curl backwards to the left so again, you're taking another segment of hair, obviously, depending on how you want the curls, you can take the hair As thick or as thin as you would like and yeah, you can separate the curls accordingly. Now i just love how these um curlers work on this hair, because i have used it with straight hair, with brazilian, with whatever kind of um straight or body wave hair. But it just doesn't hit the same because i feel like because the hair is already textured. It just makes the curls look even more natural and, like obviously when you get into the lace like honestly, it's like one of those. How will they know? How will they know they're gon na know they won't? Let me tell you that they won't okay, so um, i'm just gon na finish up with the last piece for you and like when you want to straighten it. Obviously you can go ahead and straighten it directly. Like i did with the t3 straighteners or you could wash the hair blow dry, it start again and do like the full full works um but yeah, whichever you prefer um, but you guys generally got the gist in terms of the direction to curl and the size Of the segments that you take now, i really really love this style for this week, just because i feel like the actual, like kinky texture of the hair, complements what the chopstick color does, and i just i love that for me. Okay, i love it for me, but yeah like this is kind of the finished look. Obviously, i didn't actually go in with the hot comb and the wax stick, as i mentioned earlier, because this is just a quick demonstration for you guys, but like guys, can we get into this? I am taking it, but my hair, it don't move okay, my hair. It don't move that is how secure this wig is so yeah. I really really hope that you guys enjoyed this video. What i will try and do is do like kind of maybe a mini series. Every few weeks, just giving you guys details on the different wigs that i have and what i like, what i don't like just a quick review and um yeah. Hopefully you guys will find that useful. But let me know what you thought below. Are you gon na? Be investing in um, even if it's not the ohima wig a kinky straight wig, just because you know just to play around with or how are you guys feeling um all the tools or the products that i used will be linked below and thank you so so Much for watching guys, i will see you in my next video bye,
