Baby baby me hey guys, welcome back and welcome to my channel all about ash before we jump today's video make sure you hit the subscribe button. You subscribe to my channel, but let's talk about this bob. I am absolutely loving this bob. So will you encounter sent me their 5x5 lace closure unit, and this is what i came up with cut into a cute little bob. I absolutely love this unit, especially because it's about to be summer, i feel like a bob, is such a great summer hairstyle. So i'm absolutely loving it. I don't think i went too short. I don't think i went too long if you guys want to see how i was able to achieve this. Look then just keep on watching okay guys. So this is how we're starting off. I just have my wig cap on right now, i'm not actually going to install the wig with actual wig cap on like this. It'S just that i have my struggle braids in right now and they're, pretty old and kind of grown out a little bit. So i'm just i just have this one to cover for right now, but anyways we're going to get into installing this wig today, the wig i'm going to be installing is from wig encounters and they sent me their 5x5 lace, closure, wig and the unit came in This super cute kind of satin drawstring bag. As you can see right here, i like having these bags because it's easy to store your units and also in the saturn cap. They give you a couple of wood caps. It'S always good to have backups of these, but yeah. This is pretty much what the bag looks like and again it's good for storing your unit traveling. All of that, this wig is actually a bob and i'm so excited because it's about to be summertime. I feel like bob's are just great for summertime. They'Re short they're cute they're flowy, it's hot, so you don't have a whole lot of hair on your neck and everything. So let's go ahead and get into the actual unit. So this again is a 5x5 lace closure. As you guys can see, i actually went ahead and i bleached the knots and i also tinted the lace. I don't know if you guys can tell i'm going to insert some clips of what the lace and knots look like before i bleached it before i tinted it. You can see in those videos or in those clips. I have a little bit of a paper towel underneath the lace just so you can really see what it looks like, and i also have some clips of the lace just straight on the back of my hand, so you can see how it looks that way too. This was my first time, bleaching, knots and tinting my lace, so this whole process is like a first for me, but i feel, like i did pretty good. I may have over bleached the knots a little bit if you guys can tell, but honestly, that's like a super easy fix, um. This is what the lace and the knots are. Looking like i'm going to show you guys of what the lace looks like against the back of my hand, now that i tinted it, so you can see that that's like a much better color match it kind of blends into my actual skin tone. A lot better and here's just the overall close-up of the lace and the unit. So again, this is a 5x5 closure. I love working with closures. I just feel like they're easy, sometimes working with a full lace. Frontal wig can be a lot. I don't like having a lot of lace to work with. I don't like having to worry about ear tabs coming up stuff like that. So i'm really happy that i got this bob in a closure. The unit has two clips on the side: a clip right underneath the middle of the closure and one clip at the bottom of the unit. It also has adjustable straps at the bottom of the unit. If you want a more snug fit overall, that's pretty much what the unit looks like. I really do like how i tinted the lace. I feel like that's going to help us when we're actually getting ready to install the unit. Let'S go ahead and tackle my edges and these baby hairs i'm just going to put a little bit of edge control on them and push them back so they're, not in the way. Okay. So now that i pushed my edges back a little bit, i'm just going to move this wig cap back, i'm just going to keep it like at the back of my head like that, because i kind of like to protect the rest of my braids. I just don't like having my wig cap at the very front because i feel like you can see where the wig cap starts and stops through the lace, and i don't really like that. Look so i'm just going to push it back so that you can't see it through the actual closure. Okay, so now that the prep is done, we can get into installing the actual wig. So first, i'm just going to put it on i'm going to use the clip at the back to secure it underneath my braids, and this is what the wig is looking like as soon as i put it on again, i did wash the hair and i let It air dry, so this is just the wig and it's natural air, dried state. I did comb through it a little bit. So that's why it kind of looks like this hair is still super soft. It feels really good. So i'm just going to push my edges back on the side and move the wig forward and same thing on this side. So this is what the unit looks like as soon as i put it on and i feel like. If you have a good imagination, you can already tell how this unit is gon na look, i tinted the lace, so you can already see how well of a match that lace is to my actual skin tone. Like look at that, i feel like that looks pretty good, so i'm really happy. I decided to tint the lace. I actually used the wig grooves lace tint to tint my lace. I just did one layer of this tint. I didn't want to do too much. I feel like one layer was good enough. I don't think i need another layer if you guys can see that it was super easy. I just sprayed it all over the lace and just let it air dried it. Air dries pretty fast and the process was pretty simple and i feel like this is a really good match again. This is in the shade, caramel frappe, but like this is a good match for my skin tone. So now i'm just going to show you guys a close-up of the actual hairline. The hairline does come pre-plucked. Of course you could go in and pluck it a little bit more if you want to, but i feel like for someone like me who has never plucked their lace before, doesn't really know what they're doing this wig is plugged pretty well like. I don't really have to do much, i'm actually really surprised with the overall unit itself. When i first got it, i was looking at it and i was i don't know, i'm just really impressed because sometimes you know these wigs can be a little bit. You know, but i feel like this is a really good standard unit. I, like the lace, i like the width of the closure, all of that the knots bleach pretty easily. There are some knots that aren't bleached 100, but overall, i feel like that. Doesn'T really bother me it's just like literally a couple of knots, but for the most part again, this was my first time bleaching the knots. So the process was pretty easy and then yeah, i don't have to pluck the hairline. So i feel like this wig already is going off to a good start, so before we get into the actual install of cutting the lace and gluing it down, even though you don't have to glue it down, this wig fits my head, pretty snug, so this definitely Can be a glueless unit, i'm going to go ahead and straighten the hair and hot comb the roots just so we can see what we're working with then, after that we get to cut it into the bob that i'm really looking forward to so. First, i'm just going to go ahead and straighten and hot comb and then i'll be back for the install okay is see on both sides, so i just finished straightening the hair, and this is what it's looking like so far, so good. The only thing is like the way that the hair comes. If you can see the ends, um that isn't my favorite, the ends aren't my favorite on this unit. So i feel like. If you do get this unit, you definitely are going to have to cut it. A little bit so it's great that i'm doing a bob like a shorter bob today, because the ends will just look a whole lot better. Overall, i'm really excited for how the unit is going to look, because i feel like it's starting to look pretty good. So far, but since we are at this point, i'm going to go ahead and start cutting the lace off and glue it down. So first i'm just going to get all the hair out of the way i'm gon na go in with a little bit more of that wax stick just to really make sure that the hairs are out of the way, and i don't accidentally cut anything so first, I'M just gon na take some scissors and cut off this thicker part of the closure. If you guys can see that it's on both ends, i'm just going to go straight back and cut that okay, so i cut off the two end tabs and to actually cut the lace across i'm just going to go ahead and use a little eyebrow scissors. I personally like to use these when cutting my lace, because it does most of the work you just kind of go in an up and down motion pull the lace and it'll just cut the lace across in that zigzag motion and that's what you want when you're Cutting your lace, you never just want to cut your lace straight across or it's going to look super obvious. So when you go across in that zigzag motion, it's just really going to help your legs blend in and melt. So i'm just going to pull the lace up, make sure i have it where i want it right. There seems good okay, so i'm just going to hold the lace and drag my razor across like this is so we've cut the lace, and this is what it's looking like pretty good. So far we do have a little bit of glow when we look at it straight on, but we will fix that later so right now, i'm just going to pull the wig back a little bit and i'm going to be using my bold hold liquid gold lace. Adhesive to kind of glue down this unit again, of course, this unit can be glueless, but i just like going in with this because i feel like it really melts the lace and it gives it a good hold, but it's still temporary. I can just take it off with water every day if i want, but yeah, i'm just going to go ahead with this. I just like to use a really small, thin layer and just place the lace on top and then tie down my lace for about five minutes. So first, i'm just going to clean off the area where we're going to apply the lace just get off. All of my makeup now, i'm just going to apply a really thin layer where i'm going to put the lace right on top and then before the adhesive dries. I'M going to stick the lace right on top of that glue. Then i'm going to take my comb and just place the lace into the adhesive and then i'm gon na go ahead and tie down the lace. But first i'm just gon na make sure that all the hair is out the way because i don't want the hair to actually be glued down. So it's been about three minutes and i went ahead and took off that scarf so far, so good we're about to get into kind of styling and then cutting the hair. So this is what our part is currently looking like. I'M just going to go ahead and clean it up with a little bit of concealer and brown eyeshadow, so i'm going to take a little bit of concealer on this angled brush and i'm just going to line my part and just kind of clean it up now. I'M just going to take my finger and press it along that line to kind of melt in the concealer and just blend it a little better, okay, so now to further clean up our part, i'm just going to take a little bit of brown eyeshadow on this Kind of flat type of brush, and i'm just going to kind of define my part, bring it in a little bit and just make it really straight and neat okay. So this is what our part is looking like after cleaning it up and just touching it up. A little bit i always like to do that with my closures and my parts just like it really cleans it up, and it looks a lot nicer and neater, but now we're almost done with this install we're on the last leg. So now i just have to figure out where i want to cut this unit at which is like the most important part of this whole install. I don't know if i want like a kind of really short ball like right here or if i want something a little bit longer. I just i don't know and if i go short, there's no going back so i'm going to cut a little bit longer and try to work my way up. So i'm going to go away, cut this hair and hopefully, when i return this cut will be nice. Even and we'll have a cute little bob, so yeah we're gon na go cut the bob and i'll be back okay, so bob is cut, and this is what we are looking like. I really love this bob. I like the length that i went with. I don't think it's too short, i don't think it's too long. Hopefully it's even me my mom just did it. So it's probably not the most perfect cut, but i feel like we did pretty good just s2, so pretty much. What we did is. I just took the comb, and i put it at the edge of where i wanted her to cut, and then we just took the clippers and ran it right along that edge and that's how we kind of got that straight line or as straight as we could Get it i really am loving this bob, but the hair is moving very nicely. As you can see, i don't know something about a bob is just nice sophisticated sleek. I really like the look so yeah you guys this is the finished. Look. I decided to not put any baby hairs in this unit. I just kind of like the sleek and clean look that it's giving. You definitely could add baby hairs. Baby hairs are cute, but i think i like it just like this with no baby hairs for right now. Sorry, if i'm looking down i'm just looking into my mirror, because i really do like this bob so happy to have a bob, especially in time for summer. Definitely going to be rocking this unit, a lot so yeah. This is how the bob ended up. Looking i'm going to give you a closer look at the lace, you can see that that's how the lace is looking so yeah, you guys, that's it for my review and install of this wig encounters. 5X5 lace closure bob wig. I love the way it came out.
