So the supplies before i start is three boxes of blue black hair dye from revlon um. I think they were like, maybe 250 2.50 at target. Then i have a pair of gloves because i will be working with black hair dye um. I also have an old bottle of freeze spray because i'm going to be uh, hair spraying, my lace, so that the black hair dye doesn't seep through. I have a black rat tail comb so that i can get close to the roots. So first i will be showing you guys how to mix a fox jet black hair dye. I just open the boxes and basically, what's inside each of them are, i believe, what's the developer and the color. So basically, what you do is you just take? What'S in each of them, and you mix noodles so first thing that i'm going to do is i'm going to hair spray, the lace just this front part and then i'm going to comb it back so that you know i can kind of work a little bit Easier without all the flyaways and things and then i'm going to also spray well, first, i'm going to flip the wig inside out so that this lace right here is exposed and then i'm going to go ahead and spray a generous amount. Because again we don't want that lace dyed. So i'm going to flip my wig back over and comb that hair back and comb the hair through and so off camera. I went ahead and i mixed the hair color, which is the color silk by revlon, that i was talking about um. Basically, i mixed the color with the developer and i shook it up and let it sit for a couple of minutes so that i can activate and usually you can cut the tip off and then sprinkle it that way. But honestly, i think it just kind of takes a long time, so i like to untwist it and just go to work. Now again. You can't do this with ball hair colors, but with black. In my opinion, i feel like you can kind of get away with it, so i just kind of you know, generously applied to the whole hair and then, as if i'm shampooing it, i just kind of run it through the hair like massage it in and things Like that - and i just feel like that's like the easiest way for me to ensure that the hair dye is coating everything, so i'm gon na repeat those steps with the next two bottles and i will come back afterwards. Okay, so basically what happened? Was i washed? The wig i dyed the wig and i let it sit in a trash bag for about 25 minutes, and then i took it out, transferred it to the sink things. To note, the hair is very hot. From reacting with the dye um. I know i don't have gloves on, but it's fine um, the hair is kind of hot reacting with the dye, so i really kind of want to get it washed as soon as possible. This is the shampoo that i'm going to be using today. I just bought a mini one from like the beauty supply store, which is regular tresemme and then, when it's done, i will be using the silicone mix. This is like the tried and true thing to use, so i'm going to be washing with more more so cold and hot water, because you don't want the hair color to run too much and don't worry it's not going to stain my sink. So, first we're going to start out with just rinsing out the color before we add in any shampoo or anything like that, rinse out the hair color. Next, i'm going to just blow dry, just the lace part, because i actually didn't end up conditioning it. Yet i'm going to go ahead and um blow dry it so i can bleach it and then i'll re-wash it and then we'll be done. Okay, so that dried pretty quickly and as you can see, i feel like you - can see the full value of the color when it's um when it's dry and you can see how jet black that is and in the sunlight. Hopefully, you can see a little bit of the blue that comes through as well, so next i'm going to go ahead and mix the bleach. I'M gon na use a plastic cup with a plastic knife. They say: don't use metal. I don't know what the science is behind it, but i'm not trying to find out. Then this is the bleach i like to use it's the l'oreal, quick blue. I use 40 volume developer, so i don't have any exact measurements for this but um. I kind of just eyeball it, and i know that the consistency that i want is a thick, so you don't you basically essentially what you don't want to happen. Basically, what you don't want to happen. Is you don't want the mixture to be too runny that when you apply it to the lace, it runs down into the hair and then it bleaches the hair strands? You want it to just bleach the knots, so you see how there's like those dark dots. You just want to bleach that excuse. My hands are so nasty, so i'm just going to pour and i'm going to pour a little bit at a time. So i can test the consistency and then i will add more developer or add more bleach as needed. So this is pretty much the consistency that we want or you can flip it over and it's not going to come off. But i'm going to add just a smidget, more of developer, keep stirring. Now. This is how much i'm mixing together, because i'm only doing a closure on the wig, but if you're doing a frontal, obviously you'll need more and, to be honest, i probably need more too. But matter of fact, let's mix more just to make this easier on ourselves to drop a developer. You guys could only see this ghetto setup that i have in my bathroom to ensure that you guys get the best seats in the house. Okay. Okay, so i think that should be about good, so here we go again with my trusty got to be glued spray, i'm just going to spray it so that i can get the hair out of the way i'm just going to get the hair out of the Way, you don't have to use hairspray, you can use mousse use water full, not too much water, but you know just enough to get the strands wet, but personally i prefer hairspray and then sometimes i'll, just like go in a little bit and just spray. Some on the strands, not the roots, but the strands so that if bleach was to get on it, it wouldn't stay on it. Now, i'm doing this in my sink, because the bottom of the hair is wet and i don't want that to be a problem. For me, um with it leaking everywhere, so i'm choosing to do this in my sink, but you can choose to do this on your table, so i'm gon na kind of flip it inside out a little bit and then you're gon na scrape some of your bleach And you're gon na paint it. I personally like to start from the front and you're gon na spread it like butter. Don'T press the bleach too much into the hair because you can bleach the hair. There are remedies for that, but if you don't have to do it, don't do it. So this is what it looks like when it's done. How i will do it is. I will check on it about every 10 minutes or so well, i'm gon na. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then i'm gon na check on it every like uh five to ten minutes after that to see how the color is coming along, i like to incubate it with a plastic bag. Sometimes i'll do oil, sometimes i'll do plastic. It really. All depends, but if you like, this stuff is kind of important because you don't want the bleach to dry out and then it's going to stop processing. So the black bag makes it easier for me to see the roots as they're coming along. So that works and i'm just gon na i'm not gon na like squeeze it, but i'm gon na press it gently so that those black dots are like covered. So i don't want to go back in bleach again, okay, so i'm going to let that sit there for about 15 minutes and then i'm going to come check on it and then i will show you guys the results when it's done all right guys, i'm back! It'S been about 30 minutes, it's been about 30 minutes. This is what the lace is looking like. I did over bleach just slightly in the front, but we're gon na work with it. Okay, so now i'm going to focus on rinsing off the bleach first, not really letting it run onto the hair with cold water um. So, okay, so, as you can see, there's still some hair dye running for the hair from the hair. It'S normal we're gon na get rid of that in a minute, but guys look at that bleach job, that my friends is what you call scout. So if you wanted to take this a step further, you can always do so. All the all the knobs didn't get picked up um. I guess i put more pressure in the front than i did the back, but it's okay, because i'm gon na end up going in and plugging it anyway and then i'm gon na add, like you, know, makeup and stuff. So i'm not really too pressed as long as like a majority of it is like bleached it'll, be fine with me to take it a step further. What you could do is you can go ahead and um. I think this is step further. What you could do is you could take like purple shampoo and go ahead and tone the hair, but i'm not going to be doing that today because i'm not really. I don't have any one and two. I don't think it's necessary to do it because i like to go back in with some makeup or like a lace, tint or something anyway. So so i'm going to go in and i'm going to give the hair another shampoo and i'm going to condition it with silicone mix mix. Let it stay on for about five to 10 minutes and then i'll be back. Now i'm going to start working with the silicone mix that i had mentioned before, and i'm going to be very generous with the amount that i apply to the hair because baby. When i tell you that you're going to have the smoothest press after this, you will. I don't know what they put in this, but it works. Okay and i swear by this stuff and a lot of other hair fanatics due to so that's a good thing, so i'm just going to go ahead and smooth it in. I have the comb here but mind you, i'm not going this hair, yet it is super super soft super strong, like it doesn't really shed, which i'm surprised about because i have yet to come across. I have yet to come across a lace wig, especially if this quality that doesn't shed - i don't know what it is, but it hasn't i'm sure i'll, get a little bit more, shedding i'm sure i'll get a little bit more shedding when i plug it. But you know as of right now it's pretty much holding up nicely, because i've had some other hair, and you know i just started shutting out the pack and stuff, but this one again, it's pretty good, like the shedding is like it's minimal like this. This is like really all i've got, and this is the most i've gotten so far. Really i'm gon na go ahead and clean the conditioner through i'm gon na, add a little bit more, so it sits down. I'M just gon na add a little bit more to the roots, so, okay, so now that i'm done conditioning i'm just gon na let the wig sit in the sink for about five to ten minutes. The bottle says usually to keep it on for two to three minutes, but it's not on my head. Obviously, so i'm gon na keep it on just like a slight bit longer and i'm gon na come back and wash it out. Okay, i put my wig on the wig head and i feel like the flash is making the knots come out more brown than they are they're, really actually not that bad. So i'm not going to go back in and bleach the front part um. I will go ahead and pluck it just a little bit so that it's not like a straight across hairline, but when i actually decide how i want to part it, that's how i'm going that's when i'm going to actually go in and pluck it so stay tuned For how i end up styling the wig and how it looks after it's plucked, okay, hi guys, i'm back and just so you guys know. This is how the hair turned out. I love this lace. I didn't put any baby hair in it yet, but i will it's an hd lace just to remind you guys, but it's doing exactly what it should be doing.
