You used to call me on my cell phone: what's up y'all welcome back to my channel if you're new, hey girl, if you're not welcome back today's video is gon na be a little different. I don't really do talk throughs that often, but i thought why not. This is gon na, be a very detailed wig install and i'm gon na be doing start to finish from my ball cap method, all the way down to actually installing the wig baby hairs everything so be prepared. This video is probably gon na be long, so just so y'all know i have a wig from ally, pearl hair here and all the details will be in the description box. I think this is either a 24 inch or a 26 inch. It'S super super long y'all and i'm only like five, two, so really like five one. So this is gon na be really long on me. It'S a 13 by four full frontal, but yeah we're gon na go ahead and get into this ball cap method, using my boho liquid gold and i'm gon na go ahead and gel back my edges and then we're going to be putting on the cap directly after And i just use a regular ball cap wig cap, whatever you want to call it, i just use a regular one uh, it's nothing particular i don't use a stocking cab knee-highs, none of that all right and that draws really fast. That'S why i like to use it so now, i'm just taking my stocking cap and i'm putting it on my head and i'm using the same liquid gold to lay it down, cannot talk. I like to pull my wig cap down as far as possible um, but i'm not covering up my eyes and doing all that crazy stuff we're not doing that on this channel, okay, we're not covering eyes and cutting holes over here. I don't do that. I just pull it down and i just literally roll it up roll it over like you're, rolling up a pair of knee highs or socks or whatever you want to call it you're just going to take this and trace your hairline literally exactly like now, i'm just Going to take my hair dryer and i'm going to put on the cool setting and then i'm just going to dry this in i'm prepared and it shows, but i'm going in with my foundation color and i'm just going to use a fluffy brush like this. I just did my makeup, so it's like still some left on there. I took my foundation shade and i just rub it in all over my stocking cap. Okay, now we got that i'm gon na go on my scissors and cut the cap off. I like to start on my ears: first cut the ears after i cut the ears, i go and cut a line down the middle and i start in the middle and cut okay. So now that that's done, this is the ball cap. I feel like. It looks really good and i'm not going to be um gluing this wig down, i'm going to be using spray, so we're using the black even spray. This is my favorite spray to use to lay my wigs down and i'm just going to take a little bit of this and spray it in sections to just get the edges of my wig cap down all right y'all. I wanted to talk about this hair. Really quick um because i didn't really mention a whole lot in the actual video, but this hair - i it came pre-plucked i went in and i plugged just a little bit but i'll be honest with y'all. I really was not feeling it that day. I did not feel like plucking a whole lot, so i did not plug as much as i usually do on my units, so yeah um. Also, i wanted to mention. The lace on this unit is a little light. It'S transparent, it is not hd. So it's not going to melt the same as some of the other wigs, that's not to say that you can't melt a transparent lace wig, because you can um. I did use spray to install this wig. I don't usually try to use spray because i feel like it messes with the lace i feel like it makes it look lighter than it usually can. I feel like it just melts better with glue if y'all are not new here, then y'all know how i feel about it. I do like the even spray, but i still feel the same way, and sometimes it can make your hairline like a little crunchy. That'S just what i get from it, but yeah. So i would just say that this is not the best install i've ever done. It'S okay, considering but yeah. I feel like it turned out decent, but it's not the best, install i've ever done and also like it. Just was a lot of shedding with this wig i did have to cut the ear tabs and you know, cut excess lace with hair on it and stuff, so that could very well be a factor, but i don't know this is the second time that i've worked With ally pearl did experience some shedding and tangling the last time when i had a curly wig from them, and i kind of feel the same way with this wig. It just was a lot, and this was a 200 density wig. It just was a lot of hair, that's just how i feel the wig is beautiful. It'S gorgeous, but it's just a lot of hair, and i don't know it wasn't it wasn't up to the standard i would like it to be. I just wanted to mention that in the video hairline is, but mine is not way down here and it's not about to be sitting on my forehead, so cut your lace, y'all cut into the hairline okay, so the lace is now cut in the middle and i Cut as close to the hairline as possible, there, okay! So now that we have that i'm going to go ahead and cut the sides off as close to the hairline as possible. So when you're cutting your lace, you want to make sure that you're cutting as close to the hairline as possible, the more lace that you leave it, the more visible it's going to be so you want it to look as natural as possible. So for you to do that, you're going to have to cut as close to the hairline as possible. Now i'm gon na make sure it's like hot comb, really good! I'M gon na take some of my cantu wax stick and i'm just going to put it all over the hairline just to get the hair out the way for real for real and then i'm going to pin it up with my clip. So it's not in the way, while i'm trying to lay the lace, you can choose to leave your um lace on when you're doing your wig installs or you can choose to cut it off me personally, i like to cut mine off because when you're using glue, Like you never know like, if you are close to the hairline or not sometimes i feel like it's not really that accurate. So then you end up having a bunch of excess glue sitting on your forehead and it's hard to get off to me. So if i cut the lace, then i can see what i'm doing better. So i feel like that's, going to go the same way as for the spray, because the lace is cut. I can see what i'm doing a lot better and also it's no different than when you get a wig and you're trying to reinstall it. It'S literally the same process because the lace is already cut, so i feel like you, can just see it a lot better. I don't lay the back of my wig down like i don't clip it down or tighten it or anything until i got the frontal down, because you don't want anything pulling while you're trying to lay your wig down it's just gon na, like gravity is just gon Na pull against everything that you're trying to do it's not going to work, so it's not going to work for you! It'S going to work against you, so just don't lay it down and especially like longer length, wigs they're heavy, so you don't want it pulling now. I'M going to take my spray and i'm just going to go in sections and lay it down section by section. This spray is like super sticky. I like it because it dries fast, but it's really really sticky and it can be messy. So i don't want to spray on the whole thing and then it dries, and then i only got the wig down so we're going to go in sections and i like to start in the middle and then i put my hair dryer on the cool setting. I don't ever use the warm setting only cool setting forever for everything that i do um alright, so i have it all laid down. I know it's a little light. We'Re gon na fix it, i'm just going in with my alcohol and getting all this extra spray off my forehead. Now, i'm gon na take my elastic band and lay everything down. I'M gon na go ahead and part out where i want my baby hairs to be um. I like to take my hair dryer and just go over it with warm heat to i'm about to flat iron. This hair, i'm just going to be wearing it straight. Unless i can think of a style, but for the purpose of this video, it's going to be worn straight. I'M just putting some bio silk in the hair, and this is where bio silk is for the people that don't know it's a silk serum and then i'm going to be taking my btz turn up the heat heat protectant, i'm spraying that all over y'all know. I love that stuff and i'm just going to run the flat iron through. I am not about to be sitting here all day with some little teeny sections. That'S not what we're doing i'm just going to get it straight and be done so we can get to these baby hairs. All right, i'm taking the end of my red cell phone, i'm just going to use that as something to pick the hairs up with, because they are so short and this thing is really hot. So i'm trying to - and i flip up i like to flip up because i feel like it just looks better. It just depends on what type of look you're going for you can flip down if you're doing like wispy baby hairs. It just depends honestly, i'm gon na flip these ones down, i'm gon na put these down and the sideburns will be flipped up. Take my mousse and my gorilla snot on my hand, and i just kind of mix it together, not a whole lot. Just get a little bit of each and i'm going to go in and just swoop baby hairs and because they're going to be going into the hairline we're just going to be swooping all the way over which i'm actually going to pull some more hair out. Because it's not far enough over to me and to get those nice sweet baby hairs if you'll be doing, you literally take your edge brush after you swoop them. How you want them to be you, take your edge brush and just make a line. This is why i like to flip my um okay, i like to cut like i feel like it brings out my skin, like what y'all think it's so funny, because my dad's hair color is literally this hair color and his sister's hair colors, his hair color. My grandmother's hair was this hair. I am you know i favor for my mom, so i have brown hair, but it's in my first cousin, like she's, like my sister, she has this hair color, it's giving like i'm part of the family, now like it's so funny, but yeah everyone on my dad's Side has red hair just about like immediate family they're gingers. I did not have the luxury of being a ginger, but this is why i love to flip up my sideburn, because i like the curl, i like the curl, that's on it and i kind of combed. It out too much, i'm just going to spray a little bit of the lace tint just to kind of like tone down in this part. Um, you know, and in like normal lighting, it is a little bit light, so i just want to turn it down a little bit and then i'm going to take my hair dryer and go in with warm heat. The brand laces that i use is in my amazon store, so definitely go check check the description box because it is down there. It'S called extensions and it's in the shade mocha foreign. This is the hair, it's like so freaking long, but it's cute. I really like it. I love the baby hairs trying to keep it just like before time is
