Wig Talk Wednesday! Hidden Gem Colors By Noriko

Whatever you say good morning, everyone, i guess it's noon good afternoon. I don't even know. If we're straight, are we straight? I don't know poor misty's had a very stressful morning. The um camera quit working about 20 minutes ago. So that's pretty sure the sound fix she came in so early. Did all these diagnosis got the sound working. I hope y'all can let us know and then all of a sudden the camera went outside. I know right, it's all right. You know i mean it. Just is what it is: yeah life can't be too simple or we would take it for granted. I know, but we had a great week. We did have a break. We had a lot of really nice things happen to us. Oh y'all, i ain't even gon. Na start yeah, i am going to start okay. First of all, somebody said ooh. Is that taylor? Yes, it is. This is the taylor in sandy silver, by noriko, it's the a wig we have specially made for us in this color, so i wore it to show it's back in stock and i think i like it. Let me try to show the back. That wig is so cute, it's super cute, yes, and i don't have a very large forehead. So even though it doesn't have a bang, it still hangs out of my face. Pretty well, did you know the tom thumb pharmacy in frisco watches us really yeah? They sent messages last week and they're watching us again at the pharmacy. Oh well, maybe i'll change my prescriptions and get them filtered hi everybody! It'S going fast. I mean oregon england, amsterdam, river ranch. That sounds like a place that sounds fun yeah anyway. I said what i'm wearing and i'm wearing um pomegranate lip sense with the gloss and i've got january on in 12 fs12. I wore this a couple weeks ago and then kind of wanted it and then somebody, i can't remember her name posted it on the wig, chicks vip, and that was like that's it. I got ta have it because you know why it took someone to post on the wig chicks vip to get you to get it. Why? Because she doesn't listen to me. I should have listened to me. I said that day, oh kim, that wig looks so pretty on you, i'm just anyway, thanks to whoever said that, yeah, okay, all right so back to our good week, okay, i'll! Let you tell okay first off, we have to start. I don't know if he's watching, but patrick from nextdoor heard our woes and our like. I just want to call that, like a little tantrum that i was i was having, because i couldn't find the coke zero, so he calls the other day he's like y'all got anybody in there we're like no, and he bought us a 24-pack of coke zero. He was like, i don't drink it, but i mean i saw it at the store and it was there and i just wanted to buy it for you and patrick. This came specifically from your 24 pack that i'm drinking on today. Thank you that was so very sweet and your turn are you about your her birthday's coming out. Oh sent me at the nicest birthday card she just made my day. It kind of made me kinda made me wanna cry. Yeah, misty's misty's had some tears. I haven't had an emotional week and the um the birthday card was made her little misty-eyed, but one thing made her flat out cry. I did. I cried real tears, y'all real tears and okay. So we i always say that you know we talk to y'all on a weekly basis, there's usually three to four hundred people at a time that we're talking to, and i feel like, we know you, okay, well, the thing is we never meet some of you in Person and never will we have this one client and um he's just so nice and he lives down in corpus. Christi takes care of his mother who loves her red lipstick. I love this whole story. This is like 99 years old or 100. I think she might even be 100, and then she sits in a red lipstick anyway. I can just i feel, like i'm friends he's, had the best ideas, and anyway i mentioned a couple weeks ago that i had when we did the twirling curl. It reminded me of those jewelry boxes of when i was a kid and had a little ballerina in it, and i don't even know what even happened to mine and i opened the box because it was amazon, and i just think anything that comes from amazon is Mine and so i opened it up and i look i'm like i didn't order this yeah. Well, i get this. I saw the note, and this is the note that came with it. It'S dear misty, the great filmmaker frederico fellini once said: don't ever lose your childlike innocence, it's the most important thing from leland, and so i pulled it out and she said she had tears around. She goes if that has a ballerina in it. I am flat out gon na cry and she open that tears. I have never this is this the most thoughtful thing i mean it's the most thoughtful thing and i just had to give a shout out to him because it just totally - and he sent me something he did. I love this note too, because i live. You kind of remind me of julia child. I love julia child too. Hey kim julia child once said, save the liver and i say to you: don't bake your wig happy, housewarming and birthday too from leland. This is what i have needed. This is so i can pull the rack out of the oven when i'm making cookies and i don't burn myself by reaching in and i have marks she really up and down both arms from thinking, i'm invincible. I can reach in there and i get myself because you cook a lot and she cooks a lot, and that is like she's got you thinking this everybody that has a wig needs one of these. So lingling. You are just a genius yeah, because this enables you to open the oven door. Go to the side. Do your little thing so y'all, it's just been the sweetest week and we have. We have the sweetest people well and we love the emails and there's a couple of there's people that we correspond with that. I feel like if they were here we'd, just all be friends and - and we are friends we i mean they - we talk about our families and all kinds of nonsense. Okay, all right back to people that she loves this wig. She thinks she has that one. Of course, you do deb's got almost as many wigs as i don't know who but yeah she looks great. You look great in your taylor sandy silver. This also comes. Does it come from yourself? Oh jordan wants toffee. Well, that's your department on that! Jordan. Don'T worry! I got you my list. Okay, before we get into specific, can we just go over this paypal thing? Oh hello from germany? Does she know your sister? I know? Do you know anybody named valerie who lives in dusseldorf uh? I had the cutest, that's a long story. All right, let's i went to pennsylvania one time and i was substitute teaching way back in the day and this little boy was in first grade and he heard i went to pennsylvania. He got so wide-eyed he's like did you meet anybody named nana? It was the cutest thing, i'll, never forget it. It was the cutest thing. Okay, before we get started on what we're really doing today, i wan na we wan na talk about what we added to the website uh just a couple days ago. A lot of you most of our online sales come from paypal. I use paypal on everything i order online. It'S just really safe um, so some of you asked about layaway. We don't do lowway, but we did start allowing the paypal pay in four. So that means anything on our website. That'S over thirty dollars, total, which i thirty dollars would be kind of crazy, but anyway anything um. That'S over thirty dollars. You can split now into four equal interest-free installments, it's not a credit card um. It just allows you to break up your wig purchase because we know some of these things get a little pricey and christmas is coming up and kovit's going on. So um there's a few kind of rules, but not really. But if you'll see when you're checking out you'll have the option now to pay with your normal credit card, um, normal paypal or the paypal paying for it'll say pay later is what it says. So you will um. Oh there's a younger race list: it'll just you'll pay your first payment when you check out and then every two weeks for the next three weeks, you'll pay your other installment and you'll. Have your wig shipped out just as quickly as you know, we get the email. So it's not like you have to wait to get it paid for it's not well away. You have to wait so place your order. It usually gets shipped out the same day if we have it in stock, and then you break your payment up into four payments. So so, hopefully that will help. There are some states that are not eligible to participate in that program. Just a few georgia louisiana new mexico, north dakota, missouri, south dakota and wisconsin. So if you're in those states, i'm sorry, you just got to pay for your wig yeah, but if you're um in those states, then you know just you can't do it and i don't know it may show up. But if you're in any other state you can do it all right. We got a couple of questions about. Do we ship to india, we ship all over the world, so wherever you are, we can send you away. If the thing is, you won't be able to actually complete your purchase until we set up your shipping zone. So if you can't complete your purchase for some reason, send us an email with your shipping address will go in shut up your set up your shipping zone and your um shipping cost and then we'll email, you back. Let you know it's done and you'll be able to um go. How many times am i gon na do that today i don't know oh y'all, it's just and so um. Where can they find the information about what states can't participate? Are you gon na i'll post, something on the which brings us to another thing? The wig chicks group um? I i just, i think, once you put your shipping address in it, won't allow you yeah, but again i'll, say it really: quick, louisiana, georgia, new mexico, north dakota, missouri, south dakota and wisconsin, which, if you're in the dakotas you're just screwed, yeah all right anyway. I think all of our little business is out of the way you said you were going to talk about something else i did i get. I thought it was just this okay, so we started thinking, there's a lot of colors that noriko makes and we spend a lot of time with people um on color. How does this color compare to that, and so we'll text pictures or there's some places? You can look online and see an actual picture, but sometimes there's other colors that are not as familiar and they're beautiful and you just don't see them so we're going to show you in sky because sky they make sky more colors than i think any other wig. That noriko produces so that way you can get a good idea of different colors that you might want to try and, of course, all the attention. It'S just like that kid in class, that was a clown. You know one one or two people get all the attention from the whole class, it's kind of the same way with wig colors i mean because everything trending right now is like the gray tones or the rooted tones. So a lot of people that don't want that. It'S hard for them to see something other than that, and these are colors that have all been around quite a while right and have been popular but they're kind of overshadowed right now, so they're kind of hidden gems, we're kind of calling those um so kim. I will put it's all in the description, but this is the taylor sandy silver from noriko that we have uh exclusively made for us pakistan here today. Oh we do okay, this first time i think so susan says she got her alvin. She loves it. Oh, i love that alva. I know if you're not part of the wig chicks group, it's on our facebook and it's the wig chicks, vip group. Oh yeah, we were going to kind of talk about that. We did set some ground rules down on that yesterday, but a lady came in yesterday. Melissa is her name and she posted her picture. She got the alva in the chocolate frost, it just looks so beautiful on her. She posted several pictures. So if you're kind of unsure about the alva going there sorry i haven't - i haven't trained this. Yet we just got these in yesterday um but go on there and um. Look at her pictures. Stephanie will be happy to cut your weight grip when you come in on saturday. So all right, so she's got a crazy wig project trying to cut an old wig to fit my dog a very unwilling participant everybody's, getting ready for halloween. I guess i would say so he's probably thinking what the heck hey. You know what, though, once you start wearing a wig. He made that dog made when he thought he looked so good or she looks so good, yeah, all right, they're ready for all the dogs. The neighborhood i'm ready to go. We got a whole lot of colors we're going to start from the darkest and go to the lightest. Some now there's colors that are missing that are colors, that we show all the time. So what we're trying to show are things that we don't normally show right. So these are things that are that are available, or did you put the discontinuing ones in here? No okay, so these are all still active colors and we are going to add to the site the special, the special sale. There are two or three colors that are discontinued. That we'll add there. I did not even get this brush. Let me go get us one. I don't need one i'm just gon na shake and go so i'm putting on skye in dark chocolate and misty's going to put on espresso. So this is the closest to black that they make this wig. So it's just a little bit of an off black. Maybe i do need a brush. Well, you can't borrow mine. You said you didn't need one um taylor and sandy silver, okay, so so that is called espresso it's black. This is called dark chocolate. It'S brown and it's kind of a cool, dark color, there's not a whole lot of color dimension to it. If you go out in the sunlight, you won't see any color dimension in that you'll see a little bit in the dark chocolate. So yeah. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish, especially not the espresso, because it's really easy to see that it's, basically black um but i'll put on the cappuccino. Wendy is asking if the espresso is 1b. No, it's it's not as dark as a 1b. It'S more like a two yeah. It'S between a one inch. It'S it's really just it's off black yeah. I mean it's, it's dark, but it's not like taylor. I wish okay, so then the other question we get is: what's the difference between cappuccino and dark chocolate, i've, i've kind of said. I don't know why they make both colors um, but through the years i've noticed in the different styles, they do look different um. The cappuccino is more of a um. I don't want to say flat, but it's it's. It'S got more warmth to it as well. Yes - and it doesn't have, is the the highlights running through it are not as pronounced as the dark chocolate right. So um definitely interchangeable. I mean these wigs wouldn't even come. I mean it's one of those things that you wouldn't know unless you have them right next to each other. You really wouldn't know yeah, but if you're somebody that you think gee i just want a little bit more warmth. I would go with cappuccino. If you don't want the warmth, i would go with dark chocolate yeah, so i don't think either one and you know what i like about noriko. Is there sometimes, when you get these really dark, browns we're under really bright light, and you have sometimes they look the really dark and the really light look shiny. Is they they don't look that shiny? So these are straight from the box. Okay. So, let's move on. We probably won't be switching these out. Do you think? Probably not? Unless i guess we can, we can we've got so much stuff, okay, okay! This is chocolate. Swirl! Oh we'll talk about this in a minute. I think i got in my order. This is ginger highlight, okay, so you all know: ginger brown, ginger brown's, a really popular color ginger, highlight kind of just has more of the highlight so kind of the same two colors, and this is chocolate. Swirl and chocolate. Swirl has warm kind of red highlights and then it's they put some of the blonde highlights in the front. I like i've always been a fan of chocolate, swirl yeah, um yeah it does, but the blonde is just right there. So if you want just a sneak a blonde instead of going like all over highlights kind of like the ice mocha, you get that little bit right there at the bang and it just kind of lightens things up and that ginger highlight color is beautiful. It is a really pretty color. It has a little bit of a copper undertone and whereas some of the norikos don't really do a lot of copper, even the copper glaze, even though it says copper, but usually when it's darker, it goes more violet and so the others. So. But these are two colors. You don't care much about all right, moving right. You want to switch. We got time if you want to what is the most like caramel kiss. Oh uh, probably i don't know so we'll switch out just because we do have different kim and i do have different skin tone and eye colors. So missy has blue eyes. Kim has hazel eyes, which i want her eye color, so they look pretty much the same yeah. They do. Okay, next color almond roca, that is yeah. This is going to be the closest to coral kiss. They just don't make it in that many things yeah. It'S like my mocha highlight that i wear my jolie and they don't make a highlight that many wigs, they sure don't i'm doing almond spice almond spice, is kind of like the chocolate swirl where it has just a little bit of the blonde right at the bag, Which these have a little bit of cold set thing we'd have to fix that. But so i mean this is probably the closest to um caramel kiss in estetica. But again, you've got some really pretty highlights warm highlights running through there, um and misty's. The blonde is pretty cool yeah. This is a really cool blonde right around the bang, like i said, don't pay attention. We never take these out of the box, so that'll be. You can really see it there when i do that, it's a really cool. Almost a gray, but it gives that just a shock of a highlight right around the face morning. K: okay, am i gon na put: are we gon na switch might as well? Okay, we're people are so used to us switching, so we're trying to be consistent, which is hard for us to do. Oh, consistent, that's not really what we do we're not really known for that so yeah. I think this color looks totally different on me. I like it on you. I'Ve often said i like that color on you, i'm not crazy about it, but i like it better than this one on you, though i agree. I think it's because it's got that cool tone in the front. So again, this one is the almond roca and that's the almond spice elizabeth. I think you can still get the creamy toast and reese. Well last we checked, i have yeah, we haven't ordered it in a while. We don't sell many of those at all. Okay, all right um joanne, all the colors are going to be listed, give missy about an hour to she'll list all the colors and she'll list, the time in the video um where that color was um put on yeah. So if you go through and say, okay, i want to look at the caramel kiss, i'm not calling this the caramel cream just there should be a time beside it but, like i said, give me some time. Speaking of i'm not doing caramel cream, i don't know why. I said that strawberry swirl, i thought i was doing - i'm doing harvest gold and liz yeah. All of these are skies. We wanted to do the same wig in a number of colors and they make sky in more colors than i think any other wig that they make we're highlighting color so harvest gold is just a medium. Lighter brown uh with some highlights they're kind of gold harvest gold. When i first started that was the color really yes, because it had that little bit of a frosted look um i mean it's still popular, it is that's. Bang is kill me. This is strawberry swirl, which this is. This is a a constant like back and forth between kim, and i i don't think this is a bad color at all she's, never liked strawberry swirl. I like it because it's if you could actually imagine a cool tone red this is like a cool tone red with a cool toned blonde highlight, i think, what make it look might look better, though, is adding a root yeah that would be beautiful if you watched Our show last week we showed you how to do a root, so this would be one of those colors that i think, would totally change if it just had a little bit of a root. I think so too, and the thing is - and i say this all the time i don't care what wig comes in the door. I don't care what color it is. I don't care if you love it or you hate it on the right person. It looks gorgeous and there's been so many times where i've thought, oh, that wig's terrible and someone puts it on and it's just amazing. Just yesterday a lady came in and bought this same color yeah she's in the reese, and it looks beautiful on her this. This looks like if you can. I don't really want this, but if you're a natural redhead, the older you get your hair kind of starts to dry out, whereas, like i'm, a brunette mine starts to kind of dry out too, but it fades differently if you're red. So this looks like you're starting to go a little bit gray if you're a redhead um, but i just love it. I think it's really pretty uh vanilla lush is just colored differently. Vanilla lush is little it's it's a lot more coppery uh. So yeah are we doing that? No okay, um somebody just asked if there was a color in noriko, that's like the jon, renau, shaded, proteins and cream this one. If you added a root to this one, you, you would have almost an identical color, just a little less gold than the jon renau shaded, pralines and cream. And if you went with sugar caner, that would just be a bit lighter. It'S got the warmth, but not as much as the pralines and cream yeah. Okay, switch it out again: harvest gold, good medium tone, brown gold highlight, but it's not really too gold. That color looks way better on you than me. I think that color looks pretty on you, okay, i was actually talking about both. Oh okay, all right. Let'S keep going keep going. This is fast and furious. Oops hold up the ginger, oh shoot. Okay, i think you're talking about ginger highlight my neck. Does my natural hair color have red in it it's my original hair color was very dark brown with some warmth, so this is ginger highlight and strawberry swirl. Next to each other. Someone asked to see that okay, okay, now i'm doing butter, pecan r and i'm doing nutmeg f, so butter, pecan r, is just um okay brush here i saw a really gold blonde, but the the good thing about this color, it's rooted. But the thing i like about butter pecan is that it has the dark low light all the way to the end. So you can't really see yeah. You can now see that dark. So i love that about that, because i wish they did that in some of their other colors, where they would pull that root. Color all the way down, because that, just to me as a hairstylist looks natural, because when you're foiling you don't foil every single hair, you still have some of that darker color coming through so butter, pecan r - and this is nutmeg f and if you're familiar with Noriko they make a couple different nutmegs. They make nutmeg, f, nutmeg, h and nutmeg r and nutmeg are, but in sky they only make the nutmeg f, and this is what it looks like i don't know, i have to double check, but i really don't think they make nutmeg h in anything anymore. You know what this is almost like: strawberry, swirl, with a root a little bit um a little bit more coppery, not strawberries, a little bit more cool. I don't know if you can see it okay, but it's close. So there's that i keep choking myself. Trish says nutmeg is her signature, color and skye. I like nutmeg now, if you see like the iv doesn't come in nutmeg f, it only comes in nutmeg r. The f stands for the frost, so the nutmeg r just doesn't have the blonde. It'S got a little bit, but it doesn't have that frosty blonde color, so nutmeg r is just a nutmeg rooted. Nutmeg f has the frost okay, so the shine that you see under these lights can be calmed down with dry shampoo. That'S all you got ta do. Is spritz it thank you shelly she and shelly answered for us. I appreciate that because sometimes we don't see the comments and i'm telling you jon renau, we have tried. I don't know i don't want to say every dry shampoo on the market, but at least half of them and the jon renau pick me up. Dry shampoo is the best joanne sky does come in large cap. The color, the colors that they make large cap in, are more limited than the regular sky, so you've got to check so, for example, um. I can't there's there's certain things they don't make in large cap, so just check the colors. This is marble brown, which most of you, if you've worn wigs. You know what marble brown is now they're, making some wigs in marble ground rooted and i'm doing frosty blonde, but should we do the marble brown thing? First, i i it wasn't here. I'Ve got it! Oh okay, so if you bought marble brown in noriko um, i don't know if everybody knows that noriko renee, paris and more are all owned by the same company. But when you buy an amore wig and that's going to be the lot their line, that has always has a monofilament top, they fully blend marble brown. It looks nothing like the regular marble brown, so we at least wanted to show you what happens. So this is erica and you can see they completely fully blend it. There'S no color dimension to it. Um. If you look close, you can see, but it just it doesn't, have the dark base um that the regular noriko marble brown does and that's important yeah. I love this marble brown yeah. I wish they did it that way, but they don't so. If you're, considering an amore, wig and marble brown just bear in mind, it's not going to look like if you've ever gotten anything from noriko teresa says she thought she needed a large cap. But after she got skye in large cap, she realized the average cap goes best. I did the same thing with my last reese, i'm like oh it'll, just be so comfortable. I wear i'll get a reese large cap. I wish i could average because they do stretch a little bit. Okay, all right i'll put that on. I don't know i don't know what we're doing, and this is the closest thing to gray you're gon na get without being gray it yeah. That'S frosty blind they've made frosty blonde forever. Frosty blonde is literally like when you would get your hair frosted. That'S exactly what it looks like uh, the difference between light ash brown and ginger brown. Ginger brown is going to have red in it, and an ash color is not going to have any red all right possible. We got two more. I sold marble brown on and then okay moving right along, oh kim's, going to put the frosty balloon on. I like frosty one: it's. It is a classic color that just is never gon na go away. I think the same thing with that one. If you were to add a little bit of a root, it would just like vamp that color up to be really really amazing yeah. I agree because it's cool, but you know it's got that good highlight i just i like frosty blonde. I do too. Okay, all right all right now down to the last two colors. This was fast and i don't even know how long we've been on here, but it's been fast and furious. 32 minutes uh deb, yes, frosty blonde is cool. Okay, i've got terra cotta h, so this is a red with a dark root. The root on this is very dark and it goes kind of coppery. Let me see if we can show and see the highlights here. The lowlights. This is red, pepper, which red pepper looks like their chestnut color with a low light yeah. So it's a little bit of a violet tone, and i know this is crazy. Looking so i didn't hardly brush it, but but that's a beautiful color and these are all still active, colors yeah. So just because we're showing you these and you haven't maybe ever seen them before and we say they've been out a long time. They'Re all still active. So they're available um there are a couple that are discontinued i'll, stick them on the website later on today, in our special cell section, which is really good, it is yeah. People have been buying the sail week. I know we got ta, add them add more mm-hmm. Patty'S asking what's considered cool and warm. You know what we need to do a whole show on that, because, because to really understand it, you need to go back to art and look at the color wheel. But if you can think of always think of ice, you know being cold and you know anything. Snow and ice is in the blue kind of family. Anything hot like fire is in the red orange family. So that's kind of how you can distinguish between hot and cold and cool and warm colors. So you know we'll we'll show you that more in depth later and someone asked about doing facial shapes too, which one might do them. Well now, hi sharon from ecuador welcome sharon kaye. Yes, i can remember her middle name because it's mine all right, okay, so what else seemed like there was something else we're gon na talk about, but back to my taylor and sandy silver y'all. This is so comfortable. It'S really a bit more hair than i'm normally used to, but i just love this show. I love that color on you. I do too, and you know we remember the first time we special ordered this and we didn't know if we would even sell it. I think we ordered what three three and it was because somebody had requested and we're like, oh that'd, be pretty: let's try it and it's just gone crazy, yeah and we've reordered it two or three times now, and so it's back in stock, oh speaking of special Orders we've got some more coming in the claire's in sandy silver, which we have made for us too. That should be in the next couple of weeks and there's there's a special one. We did. We showed this to you and it's available for pre-order. It'S about to come in and i'm telling you it is so limited. I don't even want to mention it. It'S cody and um smokey. Is it smoky gray, smokey gray, so um once it comes in we'll here spin around once it comes in, we will show you again but again that um it's it's limited. The good news is because we've already ordered it. The first run on that, because it was truly custom um. It took about six months to get uh the next time we order it'll take about a couple two three months and we'll just have to stay on top of it. Oh, my goodness, i feel, like i've talked for a half.
