This is a good technique to use to achieve a thicker wig. Also, if you want to add color to your wig but do not want to dye your hair, try this technique.

Hey guys, I'm Chanelle and let's go ahead and get started with this tutorial. So thank you so much for taking a look at my video and what I'm going to be doing today is just making my stock wig a little bit fuller. As you can see, the density of the wig is very thin and it's not a high density wig at all. Now some people may like the more natural looking wig, but I like my wig to be a little bit more fuller because it's a wind blow. I don't want anyone to see actually the track, so what I'm going to do is section off the wig in two places and then I'm going to start by sewing on some track to the middle of the wig. The reason why I start at the middle of the wig is because I want to make sure that I have enough hair to cover up the additional hair that I'm adding into this wig. And as you see here, I am just sectioning off the wig and I'm going to put a clip just to pin up the top part of the wig. So I'm just going to take some old Indian version hair that I have stored away. I'M just going to take that and just sew it into this way - and this is the third that I'm going to be using. I purchased that at Sally's, along with this needle, is a curved needle now that third is 100 % polyester. It'S similar to the nylon thread - and I like this thread when sewing in hair, is the reason why I like it, because it actually helps the hair to lay a little bit flatter. But one thing you have to be cautious with when you're using this thread is the fact that it tingles really easy. So you can end up with non-scented it's going to probably slow you down a little bit, but as long as you don't as long as you don't use like a lot of thread like long pieces of thread in the beginning, you should be okay. So I'm just trimming off the extra part of the thread, and now you just see me measure I'm measuring out the weave. I want to make sure that I go from side to side with this weave. I don't want it to be too long. So that's the reason why I'm measuring it out first then we'll take my needle and thread and put it through the track. This is the only time that I put the needle and thread through the actual track when I'm sewing it down. I just go. I go like not through the width, I go under the width, so it helps to reduce the amount of shedding and it's a lot quicker because sometimes some of the whips, the wefts, are a little bit too thick and it's hard to get the the needle and Thread through so this is very simple and easy, and it's good for someone that may order like a wig, and they were not satisfied with the density. It'S also good for someone that has an old wig and they want to restore it and make it a little bit thicker since it has been shedding over you know, months or years. Also, this is a good technique. If you want to add a little bit of color to your wig. Let'S say you want to do some highlights or lowlights. This is a good way to add that to your wig, all you have to do is: go purchase some color hair and add it to your wig. I mean you'll see here in a video I'm gon na, like I'm gon na skip sections of the wig, like I'm going to skip over a couple of tracks and then lay another track down. You can do the same thing when you want to put in highlights or lowlights just skip over a couple tracks, and it would look like it's um. You know like a highlighter or low light in your hair, and you probably can tell that the hair that I'm sowing into this wig is a little bit more in a brown shade and my wig is more on a number one. But it's gon na look awesome in the end because, like I said it's just going to look like low light, so I'm not really too concerned with that. So I'm at the end of this now and I'm just going to make sure that I put a couple of knots at the end of the track just to secure it. And I am going to go through the track and not under that's what it should. Look like, after you actually sold the way down. You see. I covered up most of that gap that was in between the two original tracks, and now I'm just going to skip over about three tracks and lay my next lay my next track down that I'm going to sew in to make it thicker. I like this week because it's more of my go-to wig, if I don't want to you - know, mess around with lace closures or you know it's just easy go to week because it has a bang, and I don't have to worry about messing with my hair messing With the lace closure or anything so yeah, this is pretty much the technique of it and a little bit later on ah scammer I did. I did Flatiron the hair just to make it blend in better with my wig so total I end up using. I end up adding three tracks to this wig. That'S all I really needed. I just needed to be just a slight bit. Fuller, it's not super thin. I just want to have a little bit of higher density, so I hope that this video really helps you guys. Last video I watched, the person had it too far off in an angle and I couldn't really see how they was doing it. THANK YOU! ❤
