Cysterwigs Wig Re-Review: Cameron By Rene Of Paris, Color: Raspberry Ice-R

We were very impressed with this wig when we tested it. Cameron by Rene of Paris is loved for its natural simplicity and timeless style. This ready to wear cut is contemporary and tailored to compliment the features of your face shape. We recommend purchasing Cameron in a highlighted shade to bring out all of her pretty, subtle layers of synthetic hair. I loved this wig so much that I ended up personally keeping the one I bought to review for this site. On our catalog page for this wig, you can see shots of me wearing Cameron (in color Raspberry Ice, which is pretty and surprisingly warm) out on the town in various lighting to the side of this listing.

This is the second review of Cameron I've made. I love this wig.

Hi everybody - this is Heather from CysterWigs.com and today I'm bringing you a short very short, hopefully re-review of Cameron in Raspberry Ice.. I had a customer order, one of these and I'm assuming she probably ordered it. Based on one of my reviews, who knows - And I thought to myself while I was placing her order - ,'' Self mine's kind of seen - better days. - I could probably stay in to order another one of these.''. So I went ahead and ordered one for myself as well., And so I just took this out of the box, haven't even put it on'cause. I want to show you not only the Raspberry Ice color with the new camera'cause. It'S one of my favorite of the high fashion colors from the Rene of Paris, all those kinds of colors lines., But I also wan na show you some of the things that people ... complain about. With this wig. I mean no, none of the people who bought it from me have complained, and I think that's because they've seen my reviews, they know what it looks like and all that jazz., But definitely wan na make sure that you know if you watch other People'S reviews - and you see people complain about the cap construction or something like that about this wig - that I address those issues in this video and try to explain my take on them.. So let me just pull up something really quick on here., So I can tell you some info about this wig.. Okay, so Cameron ... is not particularly long. She's only four inches at the nape, so she is graduated.. She is longer on the front. So that's what this is than she is in the back. And she's got all these really pretty layers in the back, and I'm telling you these before I put it on ,'cause. I want you to see what it looks like right out of the box., The top. How they parted it is atrocious and all the permatease is kinda standing up. If you can see that.. This is a permatease wig okay., So it is going to need some styling in order to cover up that permatease and in order to do that, all I really had to do was take a comb ... and part it to the side instead of the middle.. I always recommend that, if you're wearing a permateased top wig that you do not part it down the middle specifically for that reason, because when it settles it just doesn't look right., But when you part it to the side, it's not such a big deal.. I mean obviously the permatease is still there, but it's not standing up as bad. Okay, you still got a little bit, but once I wash it, those will go away. And then the weird wave, the highlights kind of like this wig has a lot of high fashion. Highlights in both a bright coppery auburn in addition to a kind of pale, butterscotch blonde, and so they kind of they go right down the middle, like yellow, yellow red red, yellow yell-. If you don't part it to the side, it looks skunk stripes in my opinion., But if you part it to the side, it looks fabulous.. You know just give her a shake. And put her on.. Now this cap is gon na be tight when you first put it on., But then, after you wear it for a little while it'll stretch out and it'll become very, very comfortable.. My my Cameron that I basically wore'til the wheels fell off of it is exceptionally comfortable, which is why I wanted to get another one.. I don't mind permatease., I don't mind it at all.. It doesn't really bother me and I still get that that thing. When I tell people when I wear this wig out in public, or at least its predecessor before I re-upped., When I tell them that I have a wig on, they don't believe me.. I'Ve had professional photos taken with the Cameron on, and I've had headshots taken. For. My academic portfolio with the Cameron on., Nobody can tell. Unless you're talking to another wig wearer.. Now, as the wig starts to age, that permatease is going to start to fail, which means that all these luscious volume in the Cameron is going to start to de-puff. And when that happens, certain parts of the permatease top are going to become more exposed than they were previously because nothing's there to really prop them up., And that's really, when you know you need to re-up. Celebrity state unequivocally. The foremost thing you need to remember about Rene of Paris and Noriko wigs, and that is that they are high fashion, wigs, okay And especially with the Rene of Paris line. It says right on it, underneath it that they are high fashion wigs.. Let me see if it says it on here. Well, it just says world leader in wig fashion, but ... High fashion is a euphemism.. It is not like a glowing recommendation.. It'S a euphemistic term used within the wig industry to kind of denote a type of wig that is cut to be very, very stylish, very flattering, usually has very saturated, bright, very fun. Colors, like salon fresh colors, I mean there are upsides to high fashion wigs. But the downside is that they're, cheap, wigs, they're, not they're, not like super high quality, and that's one of the reasons why I pushed Jon Renau so much because yeah they have a high fashion line. Their Illusions line is arguably a high fashion line, but for the most part, Jon Renau wigs are extremely high quality and same thing with Rene of Paris. Their Amore line is extremely high. Quality. They've got the smoothest monofilament in the Amore wigs than I've ever experienced.. I just wished that the wigs that they'd start making like a large cap - I know that some of you just said, Amen so .... But you know, Cameron is very cute.. The style is very, very cute, and you know, thank goodness, for this white background. I'M gon na zoom in a little bit and lift this up. Now I don't think that that's problematic permatease. Sincerely ... at all, like I'm, not I'm not seeing crazy flyaways I mean. Maybe if there was one just like maybe one sticking up you could just kind of oh here. Let me zoom back out, so you can look at the wig and not my mug.. You know you can just take some embroidery shears and go tick-tick-tick and take care of those just be careful and take your time and make sure that you don't snip any of the hair up here at the top., But other than that I love this wig.. I love the style., I think it's very very flattering.. You know it's one of those highly layered sort of shaggy bobs and I think all people with round faces. You know it looks beautiful and it's stacked in the back, and it has these really pretty layers on the top.. Here we go. And this color is brown.. It'S a brown ... like a medium brown, and then it just has this really beautiful highlights. And I even dig the bang on Cameron. I mean look how that that's sitting there.. Usually I hate bangs, but the bang on this one is particularly pretty.. So you know I'm just I just wanted to make this video for all of you who are permatease-averse or convinced that you absolutely need a monofilament hand-tied wig in order for it to look realistic. You, don't you really don't., Now, I'm not trying to persuade people who, Like monofilament to not stay there, because you know I make money off these monofilament wigs.. I want you to keep buying them, but I just wan na say that if you're reluctant, you know if you're a brand new wig, buyer and you're completely scared to death about how you know, you're gon na look in certain styles, it's way easier to experiment with These less expensive, styles. And there's way less of an emotional investment.. So that's why I wan na show you as much as I can possibly show you and try to you know assuage you of your fear of permatease, because in most applications a permatease wig is gon na, be really flattering on a bigger role, because it's got more Volume, it's got more of that. You know volume., This kind of volume by the way might be overwhelming on a skinny girl, but on a big girl. It'S kinda nice.. So just keep that in mind that you know permatease can be your friend and that you don't need a $ 400 wig in order for it to convince the vast majority of people, because the people who would be able to tell that you're wearing a wig will Still be able to tell that you're wearing a wig even with the monofilament, because they're wig wearers., I can spot a wig a mile away., I just know.. I know when someone's wearing a lace front.. I know when someone's got a mono top. And I usually know what brand make and model the wig is, but that's because I'm one of those people that I study these for a living, I know what's in them. I know how they're made. I know where they're made, I know all that stuff and you know I know what they're called in other countries and all that crap, and because of that you know I just know., And there are people hobbyists who collect these wigs and you know for whatever reason. Maybe they have blogs online or something like that, but those people also are going to be able to tell.. So don't live your life for those people, because those people were probably going to wish you well and if anything, they're, probably gon na love chatting you up about wigs and you know, sharing their love of hair and all their knowledge. Because that's what those people live for and that's what I live for. So ..., you know make sure you just try to find a style that works for you, a cap, that's comfortable that you don't feel like you're wearing a hot basket on your head everyday and Something that makes you feel like a better version of you and you know think about the cap construction as just the icing on the cake.. I love this wig.. This is Cameron by Rene of Paris and in the color Raspberry Ice-R, which is a rooted medium brown that has pale kind of like a golden butterscotchy blonde color highlight, in addition to a kind of pretty coppery auburn highlight. Thanks for watching., Have a great day. Bye-bye

Lisa Joy: I just wanted to thank you for your very sincere honest reviews. You are one of the most articulate wig reviewers on you tube. I actually am a newer wig buyer so your assessment's are very informative and helpful especially to people like myself. I just ordered the Cameron and will take your advice about parting on the side. I also happen to like the perma-tease on wigs and have teased some of my wigs to achieve volume once the perma tease "eases" up . Thanks again for all of your expert opinions! Lisa H.

The Magic of Wigs: I just love this wig on you!  Color and style!

Wendy O'Malley: I received my Cameron in Maple sugar R and I love it! The color is not new for me, it's one I keep coming back to. But the style is new for me. I had bangs cut into it which fits my face well. I love the permatease as it gives me height on top. The cap is generous and comfortable as well. I use a Wigrip instead of a mesh cap. The wig stays put without any clips, pins or combs. I have a feeling this is one wig I will wear until... as Heather puts it: "the wheels fall off". Never even considered Cameron until I saw Heather's second review of it. Thanks Heather!

lil poohbear: LOVED this review...thank you...might have to get Cameron!!!

Mary Fanelli:  Thanks for this and all your videos Heather, and you really rock the Cameron! I have one in Marble Brown and it does NOTHING for me. My face shape is kind of like yours so I can't figure it out.  Perhaps it needs trimming a bit, or maybe the color just isn't me. I pull it out and give it a chance every so often and then say, nah. I love the style on YOU just not on me...  You give excellent advice to wig wearers both newbies and veterans. Keep the vids coming!!

Viola T: I have two Cameron wigs and had to thin both of them. I love both of them. Had no issues with the part or the permeate axe. I love the highlights.

Half Rutter: I have Cameron in blond (sugar cane) and now want it in Raspberry Ice because I have the same light, cool skin tone as you do and that wig looks awesome with your skin!

chris rybar: A hot basket on your head lol this is cute in you I've been wearing wigs for ten years and I'm still looking for the right oneI've tried mono, lace, human, regular. Maybe I will try this I've always tried longer styles. Thanks for your honest info

Rose Robie: I've been wanting to try a mono wig, but I love Cameron.  Is there is similar wig in a mono? I have several other wigs, but Cameron is my favorite. Should I even bother paying more for a mono?

Barbara Nelson: I own a Cameron and love mine. I have worn it more than my May wig. Permatese doesn't scare me one bit or turn me off from it. I went to my Doctor one day and was wearing my Cameron and when she started examining my ears I told her I was wearing a wig and she told me Oh, I didn't know! She said it was very pretty. So some times the idea we are wearing a wig is all on us because we know we are. People really don't look and examine your hair up close.

Misty Rain: I like these styles, but I always feel like a news reporter in them. I tend to balk at permatease because those curly hairs tend to pop up. Love your honesty in your reviews.

Jaye: Thanks this review was very helpful!

ANABELLE D: i just ordered Cameron and i hope i would like it. I dont mind permatease also, i think women just need to learn to use permatease to their advantage. More power to you!

Lexy Emerson: That is a real nice color and style on you! I am buying a razberry wig . So I am glad you covered this very color. I find many people who review wigs don’t seem to show off the red wigs and variations in color

Pam Branaman: love that color.

kevin danver: just keep it as your permanent wig cuz it s really fits your lovely face

Christine Vaughan: I like permatease too. I wish my biohair would tease like that.  I don't like when things look too too perfect anyway...

Viola T: How long do your Cameron's last?

Michael: Just wanted to ask a question. Is this color for younger women, or have you seen older women in this color?

Honey__ _Lips: Pretty but I wanted to see the inside of the wig ☺️

Monique Breier: Looks just like Noriko May!

Viola T: I have Cameron in Maple Sugar am Never Cappuccino
