Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio, one, i'm introducing a brand new color today by raquel welch, it's rl 1622, which is iced sweet cream. This color has a lot to say and we're going to tell its story coming up. The featured style today is editor's pick by raquel welch in that new iced sweet cream color. I did purchase this with my own funds from wig studio. One i'll attach the links below to all of the raquel welch styles as well as this editor's pick, you can go out to explore all the styles and colors. If you have any question for us, please reach out to support at wigstudio1.com or from any product page on the website. Scroll down, hit the help button for an automatic live chat. So editor's pick has been a favorite of mine through all of my years wearing wigs. I think it came out the year after i started to wear wigs and that would have been like 2016. I want to say so: editor's pick has a lace front that does extend back into the ear tab, so it's fully extended it's absolutely impeccable and then there is a full hand, tied single monofilament top and then we're met with some open wefts on the sides and Back so the ice sweet cream rl1622 joins a family of colors that was introduced by raquel welch in 2019 called the cool tones collection, and i really feel like this does really meet a niche uh in the market for an unrooted light or platinum blonde shade. So let's tell the story of this color now right out of the box. My initial impression - and i feel like the main theme of this story - is a cool platinum, that's kind of what meets your eye. First, that's a first impression of this. Now, of course, there are some characters that have roles in this color right. That'S what i think. So, let's break it down. That 22 is a very pale palest of gold blonde. It'S got a baby gold appearance to it very light, just a whisper of warmth throughout okay and then comes in this very bold character called a 60. So a 60 is is white um, and i believe that it is white because of the tone down effect that you get with the cool tones by raquel welch in that collection. A lot of those colors seem to be a little more muted, a little powdery as if they were toned all over, and so that's why. I think this gives you more of a flat white effect. You'Re gon na see that white highlighting surrounding the face very prevalently. It'S dispersed and blended throughout. So, as you know, this is not rooted. This is going to make so many of you out there happy that love an unrooted, platinum or platinum or an unrooted pale blonde so that what meets your eye is that platinum? I think it's going to satisfy all of you platinum blonde lovers out there. I also think that if you enjoy gray shades, this will be great, because it is very much a cool tone and could easily transition to gray. In fact, a lot of times when you go gray, you start to get. You know the gray mixed in with your natural color, and if that happens, to be blonde, you would probably probably end up with something like this, so i think it's beautiful it's soft. It has dimension and it's a creamy creamy color a creamy blend of colors. I really think that there's just enough warmth on this color to really flatter a lot of different skin tones um. So a darker or a more olive skin tone will just look glowing underneath some of the cool tones here, but on the other hand, if you have a more neutral or warm undertone to your skin, like i'm more neutral so before i get started um on my Color close-ups, i want to explain something to you on this color application of this iced sweet cream, you're going to see a pale, nearly silver cap. Now, that is on purpose um. You certainly don't want a dark cap underneath such a light tone. You could really very easily see through so depending on your situation. I think you could probably see through to wefts and possibly even your bio hair, underneath this uh because of the just the translucent nature, um of the colors here and there's no rooting to disguise it. So, no matter how hard they try to create a color of a cap underneath that matches the hair tone. I still think that you're going to see some areas where you can see portions of the cap. So let's take a closer look. I think they did. The lace front beautiful it just it's like a ghost lace front, you can see right through it. If you have darker bio hair, natural hair underneath, like i do you're going to be able to see that through the cap, especially the monofilament and lace features, so you can see my widow's peak kind of coming out here and quite possibly my darker hair. Underneath now i'm not bothered by that at all, because to me you know nobody has this color hair, naturally right very few um, so you're going to have regrowth, and so the fact that there's a bit of a shadow of rooting coming through does not cut. It'S not a dead giveaway that it's a wig on a hand-tight cap. I think there would be absolutely no problem. However, when you're dealing with a wefted cap, you may see through to the wefts - and i noticed that a little bit on editor's pick because you've got that monofilament top that stops right here at the crown and then the wefting behind that starts and there's a lot Of permatease right there at the crown as well um. So i think that uh, due to the big volume and curly nature, it kind of leaves little gaps in the hair, where you can see through to possibly the wefts in the cap underneath and i'm going to set up some some clips here. But you can take a brush, you can turn the wig upside down kind of give it a shake and get that brush up into those wefts, and i want you to gently stroke that permatease pull it gently away from the cap, separate it get in there with Your fingers and just rough it up a little bit. What that's going to do is it's going to take those permatease fibers which are very springy and tightly bound to that cap, and it's going to separate them. I think you'll get a lot better coverage all the way around, if you, if you do that, is it going to completely cure the issue, probably not you're, probably going to want to wear a solid, a white or flesh-toned nylon, wig cap or cotton wig cap underneath To help obscure the wefts, if you have bio hair, if you don't have any natural hair, if you have total hair loss, i don't think this is going to be a big issue for you. You

TAZS WIG CLOSET AT WIGSTUDIO1: Hey everyone! This color is a part of Raquel Welch Cool Tones Collection. It's available on 18 styles including *Big Time, Crowd Pleaser, Editors Pick, In Charge, Muse, On Fire (in store only), Spotlight, Straight Up With A Twist, Top Billing 12", Real Deal, Scene Stealer, Simmer, Sparkle, Unfiltered, Upstage, Voltage, Winner and Winner Elite!* Enjoy your day! XOXO TAZ

Jana Hale: The detailed discussion of color is extremely valuable, there are so many reviewers that say, “yes it’s pretty!” But don’t discuss the more technical aspects of problems that might arise while wearing the hair. This type of review, while a bit technical, is extremely valuable!!

swineinny1: Goodness, that is so Marilyn — you need to start singing Happy Birthday, Mr. President in your best whispery voice! . This is a head turner!

Front Porch Wig Chat: For someone who gives in to the gray, so to speak, it is a gorgeous shade! I always thought that when I became an older woman, I wanted that gorgeous platinum white hair that Barbara Stanwyck had. This one would do it!

Sandra G. McAlister: Omgosh Taz, she's gorgeous and she's stunning on you!! Love this new color. I'm wondering if they might do a rooted in this shade or could they? Anyway it's really pretty!! Thanks, Taz...have a great day!!

MoodyGirl Beauty: Platinum with some warmth??!!!! Wow!! Thats gorgeous

Lauren S. Levine: Thank you Taz for such a truly informative video review! The color breakdown was fabulous! Please continue this as it is quite helpful ,especially when new colors launch. Next, please review the newest Raquel Welch wig in Mesmerize. I adore the picture, now, let's see the real, up close and personal reality. Thank you, Lauren

Jamie Norton: Color breakdown is very helpful. Your final close-up was super good!

Janet O: I love your breakdowns, Taz, the are always such a hug help!

Susan Czel: Taz you look gorgeous in this color! Actually haven't seen you look bad in any colors! Thanks for a great review, as always.

Susan Wagner: I so appreciate your color breakdowns. I am very fair, completely new to wigs and searching for cooler blonds that aren't too ashy is challenging. I have been enjoying your videos!

Suz: OMG, I LOVE this colour Taz, always loved Editor's Pick but way out of my price range, I would love this colour! Looking beautiful my friend, hugs, xoxo

Renee Dalziel: This was an awesome review of this new color! Thank you so much! Like many other commenters, this is such a Marilyn Monroe color. Gorgeous! Question on the wigs behind you: I’ve asked a couple times about P and K. I know they’re Belle Tress. LOL! So, this time I’d like to know what C, S, and J are. Speaking of J... that would look great in a color like this. Very retro! TIA and have a wonderful weekend. Renee

Amy Rutherford-Close: I agree with other posts. I love this so much. I actually want this one, truly. I usually only fall for the warm tones...But that sunshine catches it and I'm in love- She is beautiful, especially on you.

Røbbin Mølk: Wouldn't this color look amazing with dark blue streaks through it?? I'm sure that will never become a color, but I can still wish it would. Thanks Taz

Jane Ramsay: Hi Taz you look absolutely amazing, I just love the colour, the style ,and all your reviews are just great .

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Taz! She is just fabulous!! I just love the uprooted pale shades. Love and blessings ❤

Alena D: Such a great job describing the color! Of course, I want it now! :D

Michel Brown: Taz, I so have been waiting for more cool-toned wigs. I have a cool complexion and look best in ash tones. I do not know if this would look good on me or not? My best shade is Palm Springs Blonde so I do not know if there is too much gold in this for me? Thanks for your great reviews!!!!!!!

Candy Chand: From one iced platinum gal to another: LOVE this on you

Ronda: Yes, colour breakdowns are essential. The colour is always a huge consideration for me. So, please, by all means, include as much detail and technical info as possible, Taz, because it all helps. If ever I need to find out something specific, you're reviews are always top of the list, along with going directly to the manufacturer's website. So, please keep up the great work! xo

Dan and Marie Greve: Gorgeous as usual! I need to know what lipstick and color you wear - it is as perfect as the wig on you. You are by far the best wig reviewer out there. Thank you for all you do.

Wyzer Now: I’m absolutely loving this color. Mine is almost the same. Of course, mine is actually gray, but I’m a natural blonde and grayed that way. Thanks for another great review.

Chris Hamilton: Ty so much for talking about how the color will work with different skin tones :) Someone is finally addressing this.

Valli S: I love this color and style. It's so unique and beautiful. What is your impression for yourself? Are you going to wear this one? xoxo

Dee Roga Tory: This is one of the most beautiful wigs she offers. It' style consistent, no matter what color you choose. (Rachel design team, if you're reading this...increase the length to 20 and it will be my new favorite) Taz, I think you reviewed this is in a red with highlights that reminded me of my beloved Sedona. I loved it on you so much I bought it and wear it in the fall - and I don't wear the reds). When we go this light in color, the bio hair adds to the shadowing, which I really don't mind at all. I think it makes the wig look for realistic on some. I know some ladies that go as far as pulling their own bio hair through the wefts to better blend if they already have a similar cut with their bio hair. I've done it on others and it really blends well. (Easier to have a gf, with a needle comb to lift, separate and pull out. It brought me back to the days when we used to frost our hairs with the horrible rubber cap. But this was really fun to do) . I'd wear this color going out, at night, with an all back dress or sweater to really make it pop. Great review.

Julia-Venetian Cat Fine Art: VERY VERY helpful, especially the indoor vs. outdoor lighting where you can really see the color as well as the color comparisons. On my monitor for example, the wig looks white, but outside, it looks blonde. I am 62 and like wearing gray and silver wigs, so I was able to make an informed choice thanks to your video and got the Editor's Pick 56/60 Silver. OMG I LOVE IT!!!! NICE that the color comes without roots though-dark roots are NOT natural at 62, LOL! I just might try Iced Sweet Cream sometime thanks to your video! The styling tips were hugely helpful also, thanks again Taz! Much Love from Julia in New Mexico USA!

ARCHIBALD SHAW: Dear Taz, following your advice I ordered Mesmerized in ice sweet cream. First of all, there is NO shade but none in the copy received .. inexorably creamy white all over that makes me look like Santa's wife because of my old age. As much Mesmerized in SS biscuit is sumptuous and rejuvenates me, bringing out the tan as much this one is a disaster that completely extinguishes the radiance of the face and highlights the wrinkles. Then the cap is different from the other Mesmerized colors and already that this wig is a little tight, it is impossible to have it on the whole head ... I have a large head ... In short, one more disappointment with the same patterns, each copy is original and does not really look like you tube reviews. Thank you for all the advice and reviews, it's very useful and very nice and I continue to follow you! Love!

Maria Daquila: WOW! I love the color. Gorgeous on you. Color breakdown was very helpful!

Soozi LaSarge: Oh my gracious!!! This is gorgeous on you. Love it

Janis Huey: This color breakdown has value for me. Thanks!

Gay'sHEART FOR ART Cormier: I just received the R60 Raquel Welch faugh fringe last week and I love it. It is the Exact color of my bio hair. Would this be quite close in color? I love this wig and prefer the fullness and waves of this piece, the length included. I would like to see similar style with bangs in the unrooted R60 color. This wig looks great on you and I love your informative videos. Thanks

Wig Studio 1: Great video explaining this color Taz. You look lovely BTW! xoxo Andrea

Lori Witmeyer: What a gorgeous wig you look amazing in it.

MJ Keylon: Gorgeous !! That wig !! AND of course you. Great presentation ❤

Street Justice: thank you for all the presentations you display so professionally. it is truly useful information. keep up your dedication.

Connie Feltman: When in my 20’s ... my hair was that color ... LOL! My hair was short ... and when I got home I cried!!! The key to the problem was to add extra makeup ... eyeshadow ... cheek blush and lip color! My hairstylist gave me a cut that she called the Oliver Twist ... curls on top and the back twisted around! Was really cute! Could not keep the color (bleached) ... hair started to break off ... but just had it reversed highlighted! Love that color on you .... beautiful!

Annie Tsunami: Really nice job on the “ break down,”

Monika's Beauty & Lifestyle: Excellent video Taz and very detailed color description. Editor's Pick is one of my favorite styles! Hugs!

Barbie Sheffield: Thanks a million shugga, love this color. This really is very close to my bio hear as I transitioned from light blond to gray. I'm looking for something I can do an updo on for our vow renewal ceremony can you do that with EP? xoxoxo

MichelePearl: WOWZA! Looks great on you. Very “Marilyn”.

Pamela Prescott: She is really pretty in the sun Taz.Way to plat. for me though.Hope you have a wonderful weekend . xoxox

Michelle Diekman: Absolutely Stunning on you! Very Good information. Hugs,

Deborah Luongo: Looks great test! Love the color

Michele KT: Wow!! What a gorgeous color! And a perfect colored sweater to wear with it!

Clara: Very pretty quite unusual colour. I do enjoy the colour breakdown most helpful

Terri Simonsson: That Color is Absolutely Gorgeous :D

Glenda Mock: Oh my! I love this color...I wonder if it comes in pixie or a shorter style...you are terrific, have a great weekend

Angela - Silver Linings : Hey Taz: As usual "AMAZING" review! I wonder if you know what the percentage breakdown is with the colors? For instance, how much of the wig is color 60. It' so hard to tell with monitors, isn't it? I know RW carries this in 56/60 but this color looks even "brighter" (whiter) than the 56/60. When I first saw her I thought "I want that" BUT will it satisfy my silver/grey/white preference. I'm thinking of reviewing this on my channel? Does it present with any yellow? I love this on you. Incredible review. So much info. Love it.

Susan Deneen: My only thought was I’d like to see it compares to Biscuit or even Shaded Biscuit… otherwise I loved all the hints you give!!

kimmymz: Love this color. How do you think this style would fit a 23" head? Also, hairline to chin I measure 8 inches.

Patty Carosi: This is a beautiful color. I think a lot of lady's will want this color. Have a Blessed weekend.

Sue Pitts: I purchased a RW wig in Iced Sweet Cream and it's the perfect color match to my natural hair color. Thanks so much for doing this review and helping me find the PERFECT color for me. I had ordered 3 wigs previously and the colors were so wrong. Finally success! In-person the Iced sweet cream isn't as white as it appears in the video.

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: Very informative review of this color!

Gin Gin: Hi Taz. The editors pick elite you are wearing, because of the mono top, do u find outs less bulky poofy on top? Meaning no permatease on top?

kk doc: Could you contact all the manufacturers and get them to change the blonde rooting from dark brown to a numbat 7 ash color (a description used by colorists)? Lol. I love dimension but not the very dark roots. In fact, I haven’t seen a blonde wig out there that has the right rooting shade. IMHO

Milvi Bamber: What a gorgeous colour.Looks beautiful on you.So natural.

Brandi Broyles: Love the breakdown of hair color

Autumn Storm: Good morning Taz. I really need help when picking colors. Light colors make me look washed out. Colors too dark look horrible on me.. I need to find a happy Medium.. love all your videos. Have a beautiful blessed weekend.

Marion Muolo: Did Taz mention the name of this style. I really like it

Vicky White: Good tips and descriptions of her. Thank you.

Lea Que: Ty for showing the actual color! I am disappointed that all of the cool colors have a dark root, except this white one. :(

sandy vela: I love the color!

Kathleen Beauchemin: Taz, great review as always! Wowza!!! Great color and very sexy...Happy birthday, Mr. President!❤️

Maria Martinez: Love this wig need to get me one

The Retro Depot: Can you help me find the perfect hairstyle for myself?

KAREN SACHS: You look stunning in that Taz

Sue Davis: FINALLY! The colour of my hair!!!

Debbie Walsh - Smith: Love the color

Dayna Peterson: Reminds me of BT Coconut silver blonde or some of the other BT colors.

Natasha Semenova: i get marilyn monroe vibes from this color xo

Gin Gin: So gorgeous. Just like marshmallow blonde belle tress.

Mary Dawn Pafford: Love it

Linda Schank: Taz, which wig and color is the P behind you?

lil poohbear: Very GLAM Taz!!!!

denise darby: Love all your wigs ... can I get them in the UK?

Robin's Wig Party: So pretty

Faith Vogel: Pretty wig, not loving the color. Maybe it's my monitor. I really love light blondes but to me Palm Beach is so much prettier than this because it has a softness that this one doesn't. Great review though.

Debi Zentz: I just got my first wig. Editors pick shaded biscuit. I love it but it’s just too small on my head. I can’t pull out it down:-(. What can I do? I hate to return it

Suzanne Marie: What is the name of wig A?? Thanks!

Sharlene Tull: Love the color !!! It’s very much like my bio hair now!

JMK: If you like a wiggy look, it's good, but it does look like a wig.

Susan Petersen: Could I please ask what product and color you use on your eyebrows? Is it a ashy color?

tyytler whoknows: I wanted high octane...what happened to that one?

sandykelliott: That color IS beautiful, but it looks lighter than a 22.

MichelePearl: Looks a little like Marshmallow blonde maybe. Beautiful!

Angel Mendez: Wear this wig with a red dress and red heels and gold jewelry and don’t forget diamonds

Barb D: Does any other style have this color?

angelxorae88: Hi Taz, I cannot find this wig , help

Susan geddes: Love the wig Tax not liking the colour

Narcolepsy: You should drop the skincare routine lol

cher robbs: I certainly mean no disrespect but that looks grey to me not platinum.

blue car joy Haven: wow wow ✨yes gotta get

henrietta henson: Don't like the water mark what a shame you have to do this..... I understand the reason behind it though.

Brandi Broyles: I cannot find the cool tone collection

Angel Mendez: With that pastel purple top you have on and that white hair reminds me of Marilyn Monroe on the Hollywood hills picture looking over Los Angeles

Minh Hergott: What is your website ?

9razzler9: this is very emma frost
