Compared to 88GR: 07:48

Outside: 12:17

I show this color compared to 88GR- here are the descriptions I read off to you:

10/613GR

 GR means Gradient (Darker Roots with Lighter Tips)

 Two Tone color mix- Layered colors, one color on top, one color on the bottom

 10= Medium Golden Brown

 613= french vanilla blonde

 My impressions- bright bright blonde with just a hint of warm salted caramel running through it- it is definitely a cool tone, enough ash to make it cool but not look gray. Highly dimensional

88GR- this is one where the color code can’t help you

 HM website says: Blend of light wheat blonde with darker strawberry highlights (very minimal red tone) with Dark brown roots

 I found another description at a retailer that I agree with more: Dark golden honey blonde with champagne gold highlights and a light brown root

 Warm, dimensional

Hey everyone - i am here today to share a brand new henry margu color with you. This is 10, 613 gr, no name just a code and i am wearing jewels. I am so excited to share this color and i'm going to do a quick comparison with another henry margu blonde, so that i can give you a sense of how bright and cool toned this color is. But first i have to thank our wig. Sister, linda, linda, has become a dear friend of mine, she's, awake sister, and i got so lucky to meet her this past year. She doesn't live here in minnesota, but was traveling through and we got together and we have just become really good friends and she occasionally sends me a wig to try and so that i can share with you guys - and this is one of those she sent me Jewels so that i could see this color, it is going back to her, but now i know this color is fabulous and in a minute you will too so before we get too far into this beautiful, beautiful color, and i'm going to show this to you every Way, i possibly can on my head off my head close up to the camera and outside, so that you can really get a sense of this color. I want to grab a little note here, though. So, first of all, i want to refer you to a color index that i have created. I know how hard color is. It is so hard, especially since most of us can't see these colors in person until we purchase it, and so i've created a color index where i've accumulated information from a variety of sources online to help us understand different parts of these colors, the codes, the lettering. What do the color codes mean? What are the combinations? I actually have two resources. I have them both linked on a post on my website, which is haywigsister.com, and i really highly encourage you to familiarize yourself with that and any resource. You can find that talks about color and i pulled some of this information off of that document. So let's just break down this color code. Maybe i'll show it to you all around first and then i'll tell you what it all means. It'S so important to understand. These it will really help your journey a lot. So, first of all, let's talk about the gr code. Gr means gradient, uh it in the henry margu line. I'Ve noticed that they're gr colors and i actually have the one i'm going to compare this. To is 88 gr, and so it's a gradient color and it's darker roots with lighter tips, and so what i've got. What i found online is two tone: color mix, layered colors, one color on top one color on the bottom, and so, as i show you this piece up close, i want you to notice some of the gradation that they have going on with this color. That really gives it this dynamic. Honestly, you guys, i i just think it's a work of art and i'm going to show that to you and so what i also did before i filmed this is i watched a couple of videos. Other people reviewing this color just so that i could see how they were describing what they were seeing, and i find it really interesting that i have some different impressions and that's why i think you guys should watch as many videos as you can find on colors. We'Re all going to describe them differently, they're going to look different on us. We have different lighting, we have different skin tone, but it's also color is a little bit subjective. You know what i see as being a bright bright color. Someone else might see, is muted. Uh, have you ever talked to someone where somebody thought something was purple and you thought it was pink. I mean there are colors that are close to each other and can be a little bit hard to describe. So please watch some other videos. I do want to point out one though, and it's a video that taz did. I absolutely love. Taz has his wig closet. She is fantastic. She is a great resource and i have used her as a resource she when she described this color. She did note that there isn't really any warmth to it and i'm not sure i fully agree, and i don't know if it's just the piece that i have or how we look at color differently. So i'm going to show that to you when i take this off my head, because i think it's important for you to have all of this information so, first of all, there's that root so a 10. Let me finish talking about the color code now, so we talked about what the gr means a 10. So this is a first number on. Here is a 10.. Typically, that's the base colors the first number in a color code. That is a medium golden brown. So a 10, a brown goes from the number two up to the number 12 through the number 12., and so you've got this medium golden brown. It looks so dark next to this super bright blonde. It'S not a super dark brown. It'S just the contrast that makes it look like that, it's actually a 10 and then you've got your 613 a 613 from what i was able to find out online is described as a french vanilla blonde. So it's a very kind of light. It'S almost platinum, but it's not platinum, platinum, can tend to look white or even a little grayish depending on the lighting. This doesn't pull gray or really white, it is so bright and just beautiful and that's that 6 13.. So, let's talk a little bit about where i see some warmth. So, first of all, i want you to see this color up close now. Do you see some of these really beautiful kind of streaks there? It'S not streaky, but you've got one right there. It'S kind of a caramely, almost like a salted caramel color. In my eye, i think i heard taz um describe it as a little bit of a sandy blonde. I think it's more caramely next to the very light white and it's kind of they're little pieces all throughout. Look at these bottom on the tips. You'Ve got a little bit of a two-toned thing happening down here and then all throughout you've got like the super light bright. I want to say it's white, but it's not white and then you've got those kind of salted caramel streaks running through it. It'S so dynamic and so beautiful. I hope you were able to see that and i think honestly, with the golden brown roots, which those are warm and then you've got almost that salted caramel sandy brown or blonde. It just gives it a pop of a little bit of warmth. It'S very cool toned v and i'm gon na show you 88 gr right now, so you'll be able to tell how cool this one is compared to kind of the gold of the 88 gr, but with the little bit of warmth that you see in these little Highlights it helps this color to avoid looking gray, you know and that i think a lot of times when you're trying to go super light blonde. You run the risk of almost looking gray. It doesn't look like that. You know when somebody has gray, hair or white hair due to aging it's because the pigment has been lost in the hair. That'S not what this looks like at all. So let's look at this 88 gr here is adhdr and just for reference. The description i found online for 88 gr is um. Well, i found two on the henry margu website. It says that it's a blend of light wheat blonde with darker strawberry, highlights, there's really not red in this. I don't really know where that strawberry comes from, because i don't see it and i do and taz sort of talked about that too. She doesn't really see it either and then um dark brown roots and that's probably an eight. This is where the color codes start to go off the rails. The 88 really has nothing to do with the color codes that i have i'm guessing. This root is an eight, but i don't know why it says 88, because you know that's the only brown in this and then i found another description that a retailer had and i like this description better. I think it works better for what i see here and that is dark golden honey blonde with champagne, gold highlights and a light brown root, and i definitely don't think this. I mean look okay. This is gon na, be tricky, hang tight with me and stick with me, um, there's the rooting on this here's the rooting on this. I really think they're similar rooting, so this is probably similar to this it just this. It doesn't look as dark, because this hair is darker. That contrast really makes a difference all right. So now, let's look at these two together. Look at the difference. You can see how cool this is and how warm this is warm kind of golden a little bit on the yellow side, a tad no yellow in this. Isn'T that just incredible? Let'S see if i can do it from the back, all right praying that you got that. So that's why i wanted to pull this one out. This is also jewels because i it's hard to get if you don't have context you're, just taking my word for it, but when you can see it next to something like this, you can see not only how blonde and bright i mean you might be tempted to Think it looks like platinum or it, but also how much ashier it looks. That makes a huge difference all right, so what we're gon na do is get outside so that you can see this color in outside light and honestly so gorgeous. Another thing i just want to mention henry margu does: no that's my bio hair henry marco does put that rooting all the way throughout. Why that is important. To note, look at how just effortless jules is. I love jewels is because, if you want to do updos or you want to style your wigs at all, you can take clips and you can put clips in i've worn jewels like clipped up in various places. That rooting goes all the way through and it looks more realistic, sometimes you'll get a rooted wig from a manufacturer and they only kind of root it in the front here and that won't look realistic if you decide to do updos. So that's important to note all right, everybody. I think i covered it all. Let'S look at the lace front, one last thing, because when you've got dark roots, that can be a question. I'Ve got a mirror right behind my camera here so that i want to get my bio hair out of it. So there we go, you can see, there's the rooting, you can definitely see the roots um. You really can't help it with a rooting this this dark. I mean you can see the knots a little bit so if you're going to style this off your forehead you're going to be able to see those knots now you can put foundation or makeup on them. Um! That'S the probably the only complaint i really have about this. Is it's not as seamless up at the front if they would have pulled a few more of those highlights up. You might not see such a stark line but kind of a minimal issue for a color. That'S this gorgeous all right. Follow me outside i'll, show this color to you outside boy. I really got her all messed up. Didn'T i all right hang on all right here we are in the majorly frozen tundra of minnesota so that you can see this color outside we're, starting to lose our light. So i'm gon na have to pray that this comes out good. I have a lot of snow on the ground. It'S about three below zero right now, so cold, okay, you're gon na, have to walk with me. Sorry, as i shake this when i walk, but i'm gon na try to get some sunlight for you guys, i don't wan na fall. It'S like icy on my driveway. Okay. Here we go. Hopefully, no car comes i'm in the middle of the street, but this is where the sun is there. You go. There'S the brooding. Look at that color. It is so stunning, so beautiful, i'm loving it honestly. It'S just something to behold. Just breathtaking all right get out of the street. I really hope that you were able to get a good sense of this beautiful dynamic, just gorgeous alright, i know if you're sticking around you really want to see this color. I can't tell you how many videos i've paused, because they didn't linger on the color enough, so i'm just walking back up here, so i can get in front of the gray background. So you've got the dark contrast all right, gorgeous huh. I hope this helped. You guys thank you so much for watching and i'll talk to you guys soon. You

Christina Knapp: Super video Denise! I have to agree with you because I have Naomi and Kendall in this color! This is the most dynamic color available! The blonde is so pure blonde, like a satin baby blonde and I do agree that it does have just the right amount of warmth in it to balance it!

Liza G: What a great informational video! Thank you for doing this and all of the research you are sharing with us! I'm just starting my wig journey and this is incredibly helpful!

Front Porch Wig Chat: That color is really poppin'! And so out of your comfort zone, wow! She's gorgeous on a wavy style.

Brenda Gregory Yuen: Denise, your desire to show and tell a DETAILED description of color and style is something else! Thank you SO much for caring and sharing. You do this service justice. :) take care.

Sharon L: I love Jules! One day I will have her in my collection. The 88gr color is beautiful!!! Thanks for the great review, Denise! Spring is coming

Terri: Love the comparisons Denise! I really like the 88GR. I’m a brunette but I think I could pull that shade off. It helps so much to see comparisons because it’s honestly hard to tell with just color samples online. Love the wig too!

Paulina: That colour looks fabulous on you! I'm working my way up to trying different styles and colours . Thank you for all you do.

Mike Zervas: Joyce Z Just put Jules in this color in my cart all due to your review of this gorgeous wig.

DHG Heart Written: Yes! This color really suits you! I'm so glad you reviewed this color. I am waiting on my Kendall in that color. Hope it looks as good on me as it does on you!

Lynda Ryan: I have Jules in this color and I’m so in love with it! Thanks for the video!

Doodica: That is very pretty! I loved the comparison because you were right about how you can see the color differently when compared to others. I saw more of that touch of warmth in the inside lighting vs outside. Very helpful. And you are a true wig sister to brave that cold for us! We love you for it!

Elizabeth Currie: Thanks. I’ve seen this colour before but this is the first time it was well represented….a bit like Butterbeer blonde or RW Shaded Biscuit. Very pretty.

The Faux Blond: Absolutely beautiful on you Denise ❤️ I really appreciated the colour comparison too!

Kim Myers: Great review on this color! Really appreciate all the various lighting shown.

Ivona: Thank you Denise, the color comparisons are super helpful! And you are doing them so well, I like your explanations of colors, and how they are distributed, you are the best!

A. RosesRBleu: You get prettier every video! Red, brown, blonde, you can rock them all! I thought of the Doobie Brothers "Takin it to the Street" song when you risked life and limb for us in the outdoor color segment! Love the time stamps, girl!!! Hugs!

Laura Marrow: wow Denise love this color on you, Oh how I wish I cold wear this color, love it!!!! You really put your heart and soul into these videos. You're so pretty and sweet too

C G: I love HM wigs and bought a couple in 88GR, only to be a little disappointed since I avoid yellow and gold blondes normally, given my very cool pale skin tone. This is a very helpful comparison. I also have to say that in theory I agree that watching a lot of reviews helps. I have tried so many ‘cool’ blonde colors, only to discover they are too yellow for me. Lastly, I think you are the best wig reviewer by far on Youtube. I so appreciate that you are intelligent, friendly, helpful, honest, and down-to-earth, all while maintaining admirable professionalism. I had to unsubscribe from those reviewers who create over the top unprofessional drama, those who ramble incessantly on unrelated topics, those who alter the wig without revealing the changes they made, and those who seem to need to build their own egos over being helpful to others. You, my dear, are a rare gem. Thank you so much.

sapat: The lighting really made a huge difference to me. Indoors it looked almost platinum, and the light blend, made it look like what we used to call 'frosted'. Outdoors I immediately thought it looked light silvery gray. That’s just my take. Have to admit I liked the darker honey one better.

Take Control Beauty: You really look great in this color! I love it! It is a beautiful shade and rooted it's gorgeous! This was very informative about colors !! Babs

Kimc GARYC: Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for the review. You look stunning!

Jill Creagh: Lovely review, thanks again Denise. I think they should call it Vanilla Latte, that’s what I think of when I see it. The 88GR reminds me of honeycomb, it’s a gorgeous colour too. Are you able to take a pic of you wearing both and slot them in next to each other? Just a still shot? I’d rather see you wearing them than on a mannequin, so much nicer.

L S: WOW! That color is stunning on you! I imagine even more so in person. I have always loved Jules on you. I have HM Hayden in 10/613GR and she's equally as beautiful. I think it's becoming my favorite HM color.....(even w/rooting,lol.). I agree, the knots on the lace front ( and on Hayden, as well) are a little more obvious, but not enough to stop me from wearing either piece or from ordering another one. I don't think people really look that close. This was a great color review/comparison. Yours always are. Showing 88GR next to the 10/613GR was a perfect choice, imo. Really brought out how bright and dynamic the 10-613GR is. Love how you always take the time to cover these colors in depth, breaking down the color codes, showing the pieces from all angles, different lighting and side by side with other colors so we can REALLY get the best possible idea of what they look like in person. Very, very helpful! Much appreciated. Thanks for all you do for all of us. ❤

elisabeth mattson: Love the blonde color on you, absolutely stunning.

Mileetn: I have Jules in this color. I LOVE it!! It is one of my favorites!! Style AND color! Looks great on you !!

Rama Nichols: I just love you and your reviews. You are so beautiful and your kindness seems to jump from my tv screen into the room. That color is fabulous on you! Heading to your website now to see the color codes. This is huge for me. Thank you so much for compiling the information. I’m just starting with wigs and really need all the help I can get. Thank you again and God Bless

Karen Fox: I think you look terrific in that color. It surprised me how natural that color looked on you. When you went outside in the shade, that color looked gray. I don’t have a Jules. I really like the style. I may have to order one. Thank you for doing this video .

Joyce Bokman: That color is so pretty, and looks fabulous on you!

Jerry Scott: Thanks for another wonderful review. Henry Margu 88GR is one of my all time favorite blondes.

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: Color is so subjective! An interesting point about color is that the brain can't remember specific hues. The brain converts them into roughly similar generic colors. Explains a lot! This is so cute and def a cool color!

ReNee Baldwin: Great review!! Thank you for the color info on your website also. ✌

RubyRazzie: Great job exploring these colors, Denise!

Sharon D'Amico: Oh man, just when I was bragging that I am not an impulse/addicted buyer along comes this beauty. The color and style is so pretty! I have not checked the price yet so that may save me!! I so appreciate your research in color code and descriptions. You spent time and effort to help me and I thank you. I even liked your weather reporting. Hahaha. Keep going Denise. You give excellent reviews. God bless you and your family.

Michelle Diekman: Looks Beautiful on you! Love the Info, The Color is Incredible ❤

Helsinki: Love your reviews Denise.

Lisa Wawrzynski: Hi Denise! Gorgeous wig and gorgeous color!! Wow! The outdoor view of this color is very helpful. I love Henry Margu wigs, they are super comfortable and offer such beautiful and dynamic colors. I watched your review of Jules in 88GR and it seems to have more highlights at the lace front, but I agree with you that with the 10/613GR, that color is so beautiful that you don't notice the hairline. I've wanted Jules for a while now and you've sold me on it in 10/613GR! Have you tried Candace yet? I plan to get her in 88GR xoxo Lisa

brooks269: Beautiful! Thanks for your great review!

Sharon Prestegard: Thanks so much for this color comparison... I am looking for this color in something longer, past shoulders, and not as curly... and I have been following you for a while now, but felt compelled to comment because I didn’t know you live in Minnesota... like me! Thanks for sharing all of it!

Coast Daze: When I first glanced at the video preview picture, I thought, "Why is Denise wearing a gray wig?" Yup, I did. And outside, Jules looked even more gray to me. Super pretty style, but I don't like gray hair yet. LOL. The 88GR did have strawberry highlights to my eyes, light strawberry. And I loved the overall color, so much warmer.

Monique Breier: Looks beautiful on you! Doubt I could pull this off!

Shelly F: Great job on this video. 3 below zero, yikes! You ARE a dedicated reviewer. That cold must be playing havoc with your health. Get out of that ice and snow and come down to FL! Sending you hugs, Shelly

Maria Barradas: Nice wig, the shade is very similar to Toni Brattin Light Blonde, I have the Trendesetter and Impressive in light blonde with a dark root, love them, so easy going, so practical, I hope you can do a review of TB wigs, some people say they are very basic but they are confortable and the price point is amazing plus the light blonde with the razor cut is very pretty...this one is also very nice, love the soft curl and the shade...thanks

Clara: The first few seconds of your video I thought hmm not sure about this colour but I love it it's so pretty and different. Thank you ❤️

Deborah Cook: I love the color and you look beautiful in the lighter blonde. Very pretty.

Jennifer S: This color is magic on you!!! Just gorgeous!!

Patty Carosi: Great review Denise I agree our eyes my see colors differently also.

Carol Bray: Color looks great on you, Denise.

AJ Row: Oh wow! Loving the color!❤️

Gaye McPhelan: I love this wig on you. I am afraid to buy it because of all the bad reviews from buyers. Yours and Tazs are so cute. What should I do? Happy Memorials Day.

MoodyGirl Beauty: Ohhhh!!! That is gorgeous!!!! Such a beautiful color!!

Patinkular: You r so clever in this well researched Video. Thank You SO much for comparison

Jocema Bittencourt: Uau!!! I love it on you Denise!

Patty Heisler: Wow, that color is spectacular!!

CJ Palmer: Love this on you! Fabulous color too

Victorious Vikki: With your complexion you can pull off these cool colors,,,, overall I see sandy cool tone, and that color would look gray on me.I am dark completed.

Ginger Lehman: My favorite HM color! Very pretty on you.

brooks269: Great color review!

Liz Millner: Just purchased this color....LOVE LOVE LOVE it. You described it better than I’ve heard from anyone else..NOW...I must have it in Jules. Geez..all your fault Denise!! Great Job..but I have never heard anything but great from you.

Victorious Vikki: A beautiful color on you, but not my color too cool & too light for me.I do not see warm in it at all.I hope that you review the new 26GR in Henry Margu. I Got my eye on that one.
