Wig Review Party Part 3/Jaclyn Smith'S Sunset

Hello, my posse hello, all my new subscribers. Thank you so much for coming to our wig review party today. I am so excited not only to have you all here at the party to eat all the food. I am super excited to show you this new and different. I think wig that I'm I've ordered through Polly young, but it's a Jaclyn Smith, but before we get going here, I just want to thank you all for bringing all the food here. It'S just amazing. The turnout that we've had and how much you love to come to my wig parties. I also have an uber driver for you, because I know some of you spent the night the last time, so my husband's the driver case. You need a ride home anyway. I want to say special thanks to a guide you written down, so I don't forget you to Jean Jacobs. She'S got cafe mocha over there. Thank You, Jean Marlene Olsen brought Italian pound cake and lemoncello. Ah, so that's over there Lisa Wilkes brought garlic bread in baked ziti YUM Cherie, amour, ma cherie amour pretty little anyway, sherry hi Cherie Cherie. She brought a fruit tray with homemade, delicious cream cheese, fruit dip. Oh man, thank you, Tracie Judd. She brought mimosas you guys in case you're still here in the morning, we'll save some samosas for you, because there's so good breakfast Kate Carter, she brought chicken wings and also, if you hear any kind of pounding in the basement, my husband is building a booth for Her, if you need a daily dose of encouragement, Kate Carter will be in the booth for you to give you some daily dose of encouragement. So in case you hear some, you know hammering going on. That'S that's what it's happening: Lydia Johnson and BJ brought guacamole my favor Sonia Edwards. She got a cheese platter there. Thank You Sonia, and I brought wafers now. If you saw my video, the last Valentine's video I did with Bella. We made wafers dipped in chocolate, white, chocolate, they're, so good. You can just pop them in your mouth. So simple, they were so good, so those are all on the table there for you. I have actually had to set up in two rooms. It was just way too much food there and Cecilia early brought margaritas and chips and salsa and Diane Welch brought margaritas too, and that's why I had to have an uber driver yeah. It'S just you know a lot of drinking going on here. I'Ve got coffee and tea over there too. So with the wafers so you're good to go Mary Helen brought warm buffalo chicken dip. Hmm, she got celery, snipped celery sticks, chips and crackers over there. Thank you, Mary, Alan and Mary Reed, she's, always bringing you know. Her drinks and stuff so she's going to just help out and host everybody over there, so we can get started and have a good. So I I'm really thrilled that you just chipped in I'm telling you I just I'm very happy that you're enthusiastic to come to my wig party reviews and I couldn't do it without you. You know that, and I love each and every one of you so much so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope I didn't leave anybody out if not we'll catch it. The next week party sign up. You can bring some if you don't mind again, but you know we want to share it all around I mean there are you know, seventeen hundred and fifty of my subscribers. You know we can all just pitch in and bring something different. We'Ve got three more wig reviews to do. This is number three today. So let's get started rock and roll. It'S really excited today to show you this week. I it's different for me, I'm really into like. I, like the reddish tones lately and I was trying to film this one. It was a little bit day lighter. I hope you can see it's not very bright here today, sorry, but who needs brightness when you got margaritas and she does all kinds up over there right? Okay, so everybody today on this by the way, is my Jamie linen. Let me talk to you really quick for just a second. I did this review on Jamie Lynn was my first review out of the six that I'm doing for you and Jamie Lynn is a poly yang wig, and this is flame routed and I love Jamie Lynn. I wore her today with a twist tie, which you can't you ask where I get these twists: icer they're just on Amazon they're all the way around, and they twist tie here and they hold in beautiful. This is cloth, it's not silk, so it doesn't slide out, and these are you just go to Amazon up in the search box and you put in wire headbands and they all pop up. The only thing you have to watch out for, like I just said to one of my subscribers, is sometimes they're short. You got to try to look at the measurements and try to find one, that's anywhere from 27 to 38 inches long, so if you're putting them around wigs, you have enough, but you have enough room, but I need some more. I need the plain ones they have. A lot of polka, dots and stuff, but any I need the plain ones but anyway I did put this on my jamie-lynn and I love it and I will say one thing: jamie-lynn is verse a fiber now I know Joanie and a couple of you have told Me how to to curl your wigs with versa, fiber, and I I am NOT a lover of curling versa, fiber wigs, I I did it once before on a Raquel Welch voltage, which is so such a popular wig of hers, didn't look anything when I got it Like the picture, I was so disappointed, it was a heat wig, so you could, you could curl it. What happened with that is. I bought it at my beauty, shop that I go to. I ordered it from the catalog and I bought it and I was so excited to pick it up, but they were closing, I said. Well, let me just run up there and pick it up. I ran up there and picked it up and I paid 189 nine for that. So I brought it home and I was all excited. I tried it on and it was nothing nothing like the picture. There were no flips to be had in this this wig. I don't know where Raquel Welch the flipping comes, maybe maybe they curl it and they got the knack for it. I don't know I try to bring it back to the salon the next day and of course they wouldn't give me my money back once I left the store yeah. So that's why I like ordering online because there is there is a refund. So I I tried this ones heat to the Versa fibre. I tried to I watched all youtubes and I tried to put the curling iron to it and once you put the curling iron to it, I know they say that you just you, can change the curl pattern. You know again and again and again it lost its. It lost its definition of curl and I cannot get it back to those all I wanted to do was just kind of flip it a little bit on the sides. I mean it's it's okay, but I did order another one because it lost its fullness that I like, and I've tried to do it and with the curling iron you roll it in, and I know you have to wait for it to cool off and it's warm It never the curl just the pattern, just isn't the same. So if you have luck with versa, fibers and you can you can heat them and you can change the direction of the curl good for you, because I can't so I did get another one and I'm I got two actually in a different color too. So I'll show you the different color one later, but anyway I wanted to tell you that and this one here that I'm gon na do for you today is it's a Jaclyn Smith style and that's the way the box is and she's beautiful and you have to Remember to when you buy these wigs on here, I review wigs for you that I have tried on that. I really really love. I don't buy all poly young wigs. I I try to buy them. According to my face structure, I look at the reviews. I'M not responsible, sometimes if you order them and they don't come in right, I mean sometimes I have ordered a couple of like my Carson and I've ordered at the beginning and then by the second or the third one they come in kind of sparse. So it's kind of like it's hit and miss sometimes with them. I know some Styles, like I say, don't look like the picture because your face doesn't look like that particular picture, so that makes a big difference. When you look at wigs, you got to look at the face structure on on the model like especially her she's she's, more chiseled on here, but and of course, she's got, I'm sure fillers, I don't know. I shouldn't say that, but she's very pretty and I've loved her since Charlie's Angels, but anyway this wig here is called sunset and the color is B 827 and it's style a 5-1 1 9, which is sunset and the color is caramelized brown. You can see that and when I used to wear my hair pieces all the time I used to have little wavelets, I always bought and had my hair colored the same way. It is this color. It was called caramelized brown and I had it highlighted Brown and caramelized color, and I really liked it and I, like I say, I've got a hankering for reddish Ness and people are saying. Oh, I love your hair color, so I mean I'll still wear my butter. Toast, but I do love the Reds a lot. Yes, Rita. Oh, go ahead: honey, the mimosas on the left, hand, side, yeah, okay, sorry, anyway, this one here is. Definitely I didn't take the tags up. I tried her on just because I wanted to make sure that I liked her and I didn't hold on to her the other thing with Polly young, wigs yeah. If you, if you hold on to them longer than 60 days, you're not going to get a full refund, I called because one of my great subscribers was kind of upset because she couldn't get a refund and I called Polly young, very kind of mad and said: Wait a minute, you know one of my subscribers said, and they said no, if you, if it's longer than 60 days, you won't get a full refund. If you mail them back with their mailing Pachi packaging slip that comes with it, they will deduct 895 from that free shipping label that they send you right off the bat. The rest will be returned to you at you know your regular cost, the one that I just sent back, which I'll insert a small little clip video in here. This was one of my six that I sent back that I did not like I. I went ahead and did the packaging label because UPS wanted $ 12 to mail, our back, which was ridiculous. So I lost 895 on that wing, but I will get the whole amount refunded and I've done that before and I've always been refunded. So I was surprised to hear that maybe they weren't refunding a hundred percent, but they they do and if you can find a cheaper way to send them back and by all means, do it and they will refund you your full amount and I'm sorry that if Anybody had any problems with that, but I don't have any control over those refund things and I haven't really said. I think I've sent three back to Polly young and I should have probably sent more than that back because a couple of them I kept that. I really don't really like that. Well, but I I wear them, but anyway, this one here is just a beautiful, beautiful color, as you can see, she's really full the she comes with a sweat bag which I am going to cut. But you can see there is a difference in color. I'M gon na try to bring it outside, although it's snowing and it's cold, but it is a really really beautiful color. It really is the color that you see pretty much. I think if this on the box, it shows it's a little orange err on the on the box. But it's pretty true to color from the catalog that you see and it is, it is sunset and it is caramelized. It'S a caramelized color, which is really pretty so right off the top. She mid-length and it's a very Hollywood style, and they say that, and it really is this: it's got a side-swept bang, it's synthetic they can tackle on fiber, it's not versa, fiber. So you cannot curl this, you can steam it though, but you can't really curl it open tabs on the side which are really nice for glasses, which your glasses fit, in, which you know I have to have like this. Jamie-Lynn is really comfortable for my glasses. The front is 6 inches, the top is 4 inches to 9 inches, the top it grab it graduates. I think, on the top. The crime is 9 inches, the sides are 8 inches, the upper back is 9 inches and the nape is 7 inches. So it's pretty. It'S pretty long, I mean not super long, but it is long. It'S a beautiful, beautiful wig. I think it has the standard cap as you can see, and it has the adjustable tabs which are velcro, which I absolutely love. So I will go and try her on. For you and I'll show you I am going to cut cut the bangs. I haven't really played with her at all. I threw her on my head. I want to say for like one minute and kind of went like this and thought. Ok, am I going to keep this, or am I going to send this back? So, while I'm trying this on for you, I am going to insert a littles clip a picture in a little clip of one of the wigs that I bought from Polly Young. That look, nothing, nothing like the picture and her name is Merle and she was just a disaster. I mean a disaster, so some of them you've got a really watch. I get burned just like just like everybody, but I'm going to show you Merle. So in case you ever seen it in the catalog you'll know ya know so, while I'm trying this on enjoy that little video clip hold on. So I'm popping this video in I made this video way before the one that you're just watching, but I wanted to show you a wig that I returned. This was one of my six wings, but I have since replaced it. This is the wig that I thought I was getting and her name is Merle is the way it came in. It almost looks like it, you know it's, but it from The Addams Family yeah. I mean there really isn't any direction. I have to say the fibers on it are nice they're, very nice, very pretty the color on it is honey. I did order the honey I've got to put a wig cap on and I'll show you what she's like and why she went back I'll, be right. Back so yes, this is the way she looks on. I mean no, nothing like the picture, no distinct part which is fine, but there's no place that I could cut bangs and there's no height to her. What so ever? I don't think it's anything like the picture. It'S just like I look like it: hello, Dean, hello, Dean anyway, it's nothing like the picture, so this one has gone back, but I wanted to show you that all wigs that you see watch the reviews. I don't know there wasn't too many reviews on this one. They weren't awful, but they're. I couldn't even cut bangs in this and get any kind of height out of it. It might be cute for you, you might be able to. You know, pull off. I tried it with leaving a headband. You can't really do a headband on it. Of course I have to have bangs, so this is Merle, and this is going back now back to my wig review and I kept okay, I'm back with this one. Wasn'T that a disaster wig, though that Merle yeah went back nothing like the picture, but anyway this is her. Now I I am going, I just put it on and just kind of shook it. I did not comb it through or anything, but the color is absolutely the pattern of the curl, I think, is not matronly. Looking for my age, 76 I'll be 77 next 10 days from today from well yeah somewhere around there. I know there 24th, so it's not overly long where it draws me down or makes me look hagee. I don't think I think the curls are very kind of bouncy they're, very pretty I do have to cut the bangs as you can see. I need my bang. Stalks, so the bang - I'm not gon na cut them on camera, because I'm too afraid I'm gon na mess them up. But I will take it in the bathroom and cut them and then I will be back to show you that in something else, I think she's very, very pretty this one. I thought um, Oh Marlene, fab and glam. This is the one that I thought the color would be perfect for you, because we have the same coloring, beautiful, beautiful color. So let me go and cut the bang now I'll. Tell you what I'm gon na do really quick! I'M not gon na. Do it here, because I could say I don't want to goof it up, but what what I generally do with the bang is I figure out a spot that I want my bang and generally I twist them and pull them to the center and cut straight across By doing that, and you let loose the sides become long and then the middle is where you want it. If you cut them straight across, like this you're gon na get, these are going to be too short and you really want it taper it in with the rest. So on that note, I can't do it here. Sorry. So while I'm cutting the bangs girls help yourself, you got it Lydia, okay, yeah they're, all set in there and they're watching me too. So I got a TV in there with the monitor, so they can see me I'll, be back! Okay! I'M back! You see! It was just a matter of pulling pulling grabbing a section where you wanted, the bang and twisting it around. You know really tight and then cutting straight across and then you can go in and you can cut up if you, if you so choose, and I wanted just a really kind of moving bang that was just kind of natural you. You would not be able to tell and most of the reviews on here. You cannot tell that this is a wig. I mean it's just absolutely beautiful and I think the length you can pull it off even if you're older, I don't think the length is like you know, out of control. Well, you know you look Hagee or anything. We don't want to look hanging right. Girls right girls, so this is her on the side. You can see how the curls and the movement is just a beautiful, loose curl. Think about that. I think the bang is really sexy too, not the hair in your mouth and I like the way it frames. Your face and when you're older, you really need to get something. Maybe that frames your face. Tazz did a great wig review about five things you should look out for when you buy a wig and if you haven't seen her one watch for her latest one. It just came out I think yesterday morning and you you'll want to play pay close attention to it, because you know I think, when you're older, you need a little lighter color and you, I think if it frames your face. Well, I think I think, that's that's exactly what you need and you always have to remember that you know you've got to buy a wig. That goes according to your face structure and, if you're new to wigs and you love, dark, hair and you've always had here. You know sometimes you just have to come to a change. I mean you've got a you're, not you think you're going to look like you did in the old days, but really you can't your skin changes. Your your just your whole face in general structure changes when you're older, a bone structure changes eyes change, it's just a lot of changes that you need to kind of keep up with and if you're buying a wig. You have to think about those changes. You don't maybe you've worn black, wigs or dark wigs all your life, or maybe you were a platinum white blond, all your life and maybe when you're older, your skin changes color a little bit pigment changes. You can't get away with that harder, look or the look that you once had so go with what you have and hence what you have and don't be afraid of. You know. I think the old days are done word. Oh, you know like white shoes, you can't weigh our white shoes after Labor Day. That'S a bad analogy, but my I have a point that I'm trying to make. I guess if I could just remember what the point was: oh yeah, but it's like you know when you're 40 years old, you can't you can't have long hair anymore and, like I told you, my mom was 90 when she passed away and she still had hair This lengthen and be here and of course she had purple hair, but that's because she mixed her died three days before she did it, because Sun Beauty and the complex mixed it for her, but she wasn't ready to die. Yes, I told this story before one day. She came to my house and meet me and my daughter opened up the door and I said: oh, my gosh mom, your hair is purple. She goes no, it's not it's black. I go it's purple, so I don't know why she said Audrey just mix it. For me the other day and I'm the other day well, purple hair is in today. So that's good, but anyway you know just be be your own advocate on how you look and what looks soft on you and don't be afraid, and you know you can always take her to many things. You can tuck her behind your ear. These fringes out, if you want and probably put a headband on her, would be cute. I didn't bring it in, but let me get the headband and then I also want to show you something else that only go so go drink Lydia. You got the mimosas girls, Tracy y'all said over there yeah. I want they're brewing coffee choucas, some of them are getting sloshed. I don't want to say hi, I'm back. Do you see anything different? I always wanted to know or see, and of course maybe some of you have remembered girls. You remember when I did a video on color context and how to change the color of your eyes with color context, and I did a video about all the colors that I have these particular ones. Are you can see them are green, so I hate I don't know if you can see. Let me turn the light on because oh the storm is moving in girls turn the light on a little bit a backlight, but these are green contacts with reddish hair. I don't know if you can pick them up really good. Let'S see, can you see but they're green with red hair? How pretty huh I have blue? I have green. I have. I have hazel. I have a lot of them anyway, but I think she's beautiful just the way she is like this. I don't really think she needs headbands. I don't think she needs anything. I do have this, but I really don't think that this particular wig this one here. My black one is shot. I got ta find a new black one, but I don't really think that she needs anything. I mean if you want to do it for a change. She fits my head so well. I don't even have a bobby pin in this wig. So I just I just love her. I love her I'll take this off for now and anyway, this is sunset by Jacqueline Smith. You can read the reviews. She is $ 79, which is another reason that she's been in my cart for a very long time. Not that $ 79 is a lot of money to spend for a week really really isn't. But you know when I'm used to 39 49, it was a stretch, but oh she's, so worth it I mean the hair, the fibers, the texture. It'S like you, could you could run your fingers through it yourself just super cute and, like I say you could tie it up if you want and a couple of clips, if you so choose, but really I don't think she needs a thing. I think she's beautiful. Just the way she is, I think her color is absolutely beautiful, so I mean thank you so much for coming to part three of my wig review party. So my daughter Holly, my grandson, was sick. Today she went to the doctor and my poor baby anyway. Yes, we're doing your birthday collaboration, it'll, be fun me and Pam p.m. over 50 beauty and life styles her, and I did a birthday collaboration last year. It was just so much fun doing that with her, I love Pam. We'Ve been friends since I don't know 2018, when we did our Christmas collaboration that Dolores the baking diva put together and Pam was one of the girls that were, we did it with and her, and I just hit it off and stayed really good friends. So we're I'm looking forward to doing this. Our birthdays are the same day. So that's a she she's a little younger than me, maybe she's in her 50s yeah 77. But I don't care, listen. I embrace. I I embrace my age. I am grateful to be this age. I am grateful to be able to take care of myself. I'M grateful that I'm I'm healthy, I'm happy! You know it's a blessing to be this age and get up every morning and see what's going on and spread some more kindness and some more positive energy, and you know that's what makes you beautiful inside is when you feel good about yourself. You know your outside is just it's just a little icing, but you've got to feel good inside to to exude that beauty that we all have inside so and wigs and makeup, and all that it's just a it's just the frosting, but the real beauty comes from All of us on our attitudes, how we walk, how we talk, how we feel about ourselves and that's where it comes from and a little help from Jacqueline Smith was that Charlie's Angels Jacqueline, say Tata, bye, bye.
