Hello, my posse hello, all my new subscribers. Thank you so much for coming into my living room today. On this gloomy day, i've been waiting to do these wig reviews for a week now and trying to get a nice sunny day, so i can get outside. But i don't know if you can tell there, but my trees are all turning, but it's gloomy. It'S been raining. It'S just been miserable here. It'S warm today, but not sunny enough. I got my lights on they're kind of bright, but i'm hoping that i can get through this, but before i start anyway, if you're interested in a poly young wig review stay tuned, i got one for you. You know i could not do this without you. I can't even tell you how happy i am that we're almost at 3 000. - it's a slow climb. I don't know it's a slow climb, but a happy climb and i'm happy i'm happy for all your views. I so appreciate you, if you want to share me and um, take me around town. That would be really great, but i so appreciate you, and i know that i have a lot of new subscribers and um. Some of you have binge watched me and i'm appreciative appreciative of that uh and if you don't know about me, i am 77 and i do a lot of videos about growing older lifestyle. Makeup eye shadows that i can't see and wigs and today is going to be a wig review, and today i've had this wig for so long. I have my other ones to get out from the wig company and i'm going to do those, but this one i have had for so long and i've had a couple of requests of, and i don't know who you are. But if, if you're watching this - and you know that you've requested this - i heard you - and i already had it in my cart. So today we're uh. We are reviewing paulie young, and this one here is called alex, and i have had my eye on alex for a long time. She'S been in my cart. She came out of my cart. She'S been in my cart. I think i had her when she was cheaper and then she's all of a sudden. She got to be uh, 74.99 or 79.99. I don't know i didn't pay that for her. I think i got alex for i think 54.99, with my coupons, my 20 off whatever i mounted up to to have in there. I um i saved, and i got her and alex is a really really cute uh. You know she's a flippy style like me, and she's really cute she's longer than dance much longer and she is buttered toast and here's her color here, if you can see it is, is it 10 slash? 26 28 is the honey, but this is butter toast it's 10, 26 and uh she's really really really cute. I i'm gon na insert a couple of pictures of her how she looks in the catalog right here, because there's two shots of it. Um of of this style, so here's one and then the other one hold on so yeah she's looks different in both those pictures. I might add - and you know wigs are just it's very hard to you know you see the styles on there. You see the models on there, it's just so hard and that's what i'm here to do for you to show you kind of the styles uh, how they really look uh on a human and not on a cute little catalog girl. You know so i have a cute little old lady girl, no i'm not, but anyway, it's i'm here to show you how how they look in person - and i know that colors are extremely hard. I get it all the time in emails. I i hear from you in comments that you know: colors are probably one of the hardest things to um to pick, especially when you're new to wigs and you see blondes and you see bronze and then you see ashes, and you know you, you think they look Good in the catalog and then when you get them, they don't go with your skin tone. Colors are very hard, especially when you change wig companies like from poly young to the wig company to wig studio. One i've got wigs from all of them. I bought wigs for my. You know, salon up here um, so the colors are so variable. They come in so different uh than what they look sometimes in the catalog, and it's really hard to tell from that little tiny picture. I mean you blow it up, but then you go okay, so is that too much brown? Is that not enough? Is that too goldeny? Is that too ashy? I mean it's really hard. So hopefully you know watching me. I can help kind of uh, maybe eliminate some of the problems that you have with colors, because it is difficult to pick colors even for me. I get them sometimes, and i go oh you know i'm pretty, i'm a lot better now so uh, but this one here is butter. Toast and i do have the bright light up up there today, so i may have to shut it, but butter. Toast is a very very pretty she looks a little goldeny here, but she, i don't think butter toast - is really that goldeny. But i i love butter toast and i love butter toast because you can see it's gradual graduated graduates, graduates to the bra, a little browner tone, uh light brown colors in the back. I like that. I, like that gradual tone, my own hair, used to be this color i'd. Have it done kind of this color and uh carson comes in spice coconut. That'S the way i usually had my hair colored at the salon, but i haven't been to the salon since the pandemic. So i don't know but - and then i wore my own hair out and especially with dance i've worn my own hair out on the sides and in the back alex is uh, is longer she's very cute. Now let me read you um. She is um, mid, mid length, she's four and a half inches in the in the front here. So it's a nice, it's a nice length for height and for for fullness. I think um, the upper back of the nape is six inches the uh, the top crown uh hold on the mid hold on. Let me start, let me start this over again: ricky, it's four and a half inches in the front. The upper back of nape is six inches, the top of the crown is three and a half inches, and the sides are three and a half inches, it's 2.4 ounces and it has the extended nape and usually when you see that, in the reviews on the extended Nape, it means that the hair is longer at the back point of the cap, as you can see, which gives you length in the back, which i particularly like i like it when it's extended to cap in the back. It'S it's just gives me the length. I don't like it when it's short on me for my shape of face, so it's got all the features that i love and the style on. It is super cute super super youthful style, uh, very, very lightweight. It'S got those conically on conniculic leon, uh fibers, which are paulie young's, really really nice fibers. She does have i'm pleased with the amount of hair that's on alex because some of paula young's have been coming in a little sparse, but i'm pleased with uh the amount of hair. That'S on her. The cap is like this. Your standard poly young cap, as you can see at the top. She has a lot of purp, not a lot, but she has good amount of permatease. She has the velcro tabs, which you know. I love not the uh, the hook ones, i'm not crazy. For the hook ones, although i've - i just i told you - i i usually cut the hooks off and i sew them according to when i get them on my head. However, it fits i, i sometimes cut those metal tabs off and i sew the tabs to the base here and it stays perfect on my head. So let me go try this on for you. It'S super super cute, she's, very, very tousled, very, very cute, uh, very cute. Look, i did buy um, i did buy some root spray, which is the l'oreal magic root cover up uh, and this one here is in medium bronze. I may do the root spray on this. I'M not sure i haven't done the root spray on my butter toast before, but i may do it on this one. I don't know, let's try it on and find out, i'm great hold on all right. We get the ear tabs adjusted great ear tabs too, by the way uh open, ear, tabs um get those adjusted and up. I shut that big bright light off too, because it was really glaring. Um and again i just shook this - shook it right out of the box and put it on my head. No fuss no muss no, nothing so just break up the fibers just a little bit in here um, because i don't know how long she's been sitting in the box so we'll break up the fibers and um make sure she's fit great comfort. You know this poly young wigs are great comfort, so she's cute, i have the long earrings on. I always like to try the lighter toned wigs with the dark top, so you can really see uh the color and the contrast and how pretty it looks in the short hair always looks beautiful with your longer earrings. So let me show you real quick before i style her in any way, although she doesn't really need a whole lot, this is um and you can see the back. It'S got the extended back. I should have had my other chair, my pivot, chair darn. It oh well, but it's got the extended nape, which i love, which comes down nice sides on it, and then this is my left, my left, the back. You can see the back every time. I turn i do this. I never know if i'm too far, that's why i should have my pivot chair, but i forgot it i'm sorry. I don't want to get up and change everything now. So this is her very, very cute, very comfortable um right to the hairline. I don't have to um. I don't think i'm going to do anything to her, i mean. Maybe one piece of the bang may be cut, but let's just brush her out a little bit and i'll show you the back when i brush out the curls. So you can see how cute the back is. I love you know butter toast in me, butter toast is, you know for all those that always wanted to be a blonde, but couldn't butter toast is that color? For me, it's just a really pretty color. For my skin tone, uh, maybe the bangs a tad, but you know hanging in your eye. You can just be like hi girls, but it's really really cute. You really don't need to do. I don't think a thing with her. You can pull it down, uh pull it behind your ear. If you'd, like uh the pieces in the front, are somewhat long enough to go in the front of your ear, but truly not a whole lot and she is she's, really she's a plop and go. I think she's darling, dark, you know the v-neck and the earrings. Just absolutely done. You want to dress her up a little bit. Um you've got like you, can stick a clip on the side like so hold on. Just to you know, spruce her up if you're going to a wedding or something or kroger like me, you know you got to do what you got to do in this today's times, um a cute little fancy clip with a nice black dress on if you're going To a wedding, are we allowed to go to weddings today? I don't know, but if you're going to an outing or just you know, i don't have to go to an outing to fix my hair and to put makeup on you know that i mean i can sit around the house and do nothing and uh. I did go out today for a cat scan for my husband on his lungs, so i was dressed dressed up today and actually somebody actually saw me. So that's a good thing. So that's that and then um i've got a couple, so you can do the square hair bands. This one here is just my pretty aqua one and uh. You know you can't go wrong. Girls with the um. You can't go wrong with these square hair bands. I'M telling you i wish i would have invented these julie. Can i buy stock right now uh before the election? No, but the square hair bands are really really pretty and i like with the blonde you can wear the lighter colors you can wear you know. So many different colors of these square hair bands, so i still have a discount code, a generous discount code in my description box for square hair bands. If you want to order some, my gosh, such beautiful colors, i mean get as many as you can with my discount code and then just a regular hair band. If you didn't have a square hair band handy, a regular cute hair band like so, but you can see how just how perfectly beautiful just enough body enough curl um - and i bought this one from the second picture that you saw with the gray hair in the Catalog the first picture i looked at for a long time and i thought well that girl's really cute, but the way the sides were, i i don't know so. Sometimes they come out with. I didn't see that one before so i i bought it from that picture. With the girl with the gray hair, because i thought oh yeah, that's totally me, that's me! So that's it with just a regular hairband and if you wanted to you know, clip her. You could always just take your little clips and clip her up on the side. Hold up clip her up on the side just to hold on give her a little cute. Look like that she's, just i'm gon na have to get another one. I think i'm gon na buy another alex. I really do i just i'm going to try her. Maybe in the pecan delight i don't know, i don't like i like the butter toast better than the wheat or the honey on me. The honey is uh little gold, not much of a difference, but it's just enough that my skin tone - i don't, i don't care for it as much as i do the butter toast and then you know if you just want to have a regular little cute little Hairband like so, you can plop this in. Let me try this put that behind your ear, and this goes just one that goes all the way around and it's just a cute little um hold on and that's just a it looks kind of off size. I know i did one more review and after i looked at it i thought well. This side was like wonky like this and on the other side, so i think that's, i think that's good right pretty much, even i think, but just with a little hair band. That goes all the way around. It'S just um one that stretches super cute on this wig i mean this is just a darling wig and then you just you, can put it up in the back the hairband a little bit, so the bottom always sticks out like so i can't see if that's, Let'S see yeah i mean you might want to play with it a little. You know up here. Sometimes when i turn around you know, i've got this big lump up here, but you know with with styling techniques in the bathroom. You can fix that, but she's very, very, very cute. I really am going to um get another one alex and uh. I'M wait for the sales wait till she goes on sale cause like right now, she's 74.99, so i wouldn't pay that for her i mean i mean 39.99 49.99. I mean 59.99, but i wouldn't pay 80. So let me try to take her outside. Although it's raining. It'S pretty it's pretty dark out, but maybe give you a little idea of how this butter, toast uh, looks so hold on i'll. Take this off, so you can so hopefully i'm in frame, because i took my phone outside um this. My girls is alex and i think she is really really cute. I'Ve uh, if, if you're the ones a couple of you girls that have emailed me to ask me to review this here, it is for you, and luckily i did have it in my cart already and i've had it in and i've had it out. I'M going to go ahead and get it so hope you enjoyed this and some different styles. You can do love the color butter. Toast is one of my all-time favorites. I always get butter toast when i get dance - and this is paula young's alex. So i hope you liked it hope you liked the review. I hope you could see the color butter toast is a buttery color. I think it's uh. It'S just light enough. It'S it's just a perfect color for me for lightening up um. I don't know i like it. I, like it summer, fall winter, it's a it's! Just it's a nice color and this is a great cut. Um, pull it down a little bit. You can pin it with bobby pins in the back and you can see how nice she is on the net nape, and that's it that's it for me for this wig review. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope it helps you. Seldon1945: The first time I left a comment on one of your videos I was just starting to dip my toe (or my head) into the wiggy world and was experimenting with cheap Amazon wigs. I now have 8 Paula Young wigs (2 more on the way) so I guess I've really dived in! I'm keeping my own hair short and letting the color grow out...i didn't know I had that much gray. You have been so much help with your great advise, honest reviews and fun videos. My husband loves not knowing who will come out next (Jamie Lynn in Flame Rooted today). Nice to know I can still surprise him after (going on) 53 years. Love the look of Alex...may have to add another to my cart...YIKE. Right now it's so easy to "let go" especially since, like you said, it's rare for anyone to see us and, to be honest, every year it takes a bit more effort to "fix up". But the effort is worth it because I have found on the days I make an effort with my looks I also tend to make more effort with everything (from devotions/prayer to eating healthier. So, keep spreading cheer and information and we will be watching and enjoying!

Carol Mullins: I'd try putting those top long pieces to the side or pushed back so would curl over the headband. Turquoise is my favorite color & have many real gemstones of turquoise. ANYONE can WEAR THAT COLOR...ANYONE. The wig color is very nice on you. I NEED TO PURCHASE a WIG ASAP due to medical reasons. I've been shopping with all of you in videos trying to decide.
