This is a very versatile braid pattern, one of the most versatile braid patterns, you guys listen. This is cute wiggle wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle wiggle, and then you just push it inside the loop bam. Okay right. Three three: two: those are my boxes. Those are my dimensions, that's the trigonometry to it. Okay! So now you have this, don't cut the lock cause your hair is in there. I was okay. What'S up y'all, i'm bringing you a crochet, braid slay today with a new method straight up, i'm coming home, telling y'all, you think it's a game and it's clearly nothing listen! This is cute. I like this. Let'S jump into it! This hair has been brought to you by a giant collection. Yes, i've been wearing the crochet braids for many many years. This is no exception. I love it. There are many many pros one slight con, i'm going to let you know exactly what that is. This is the color. Oh et1b30, you got to say the whole thing like a pimp named slick back oet1b30. That'S it that's all! This is from the nolatress line. You guys, and these are gypsy butterfly locks. 24 inches bam. They have tons of colors. You already know how jenna collection gets down, so you have options upon options upon options. Okay, now let me lemon. Let me show y'all these. There are 10 locks per pack. I have six packs in my hair for a total of 60 locks in my hair. Now i did not want this one to be super duper ignorantly full. So i'm going to explain some things to you about sizing and spacing oh and the model that's on here. They use six packs for this style as well. So six may be a sweet spot. Y'All, if you purchase packs based on what i use and then you adjust, this is six packs. So do you boo is what i'm saying what i love about. These is that they are handmade you guys, so they will be sisters, but they won't be twins, and i like that, because i don't think they're supposed to be like super duper identical. I just don't feel it just me myself personally, when it comes to distressed, looks this hair is very light. It'S not itchy to me. The shirt that i have on is thin. It'S a thin shirt, and this is not bothering me, you know how sometimes you wear thin shirts and um. You have long hair and it's just prickly. No, i don't feel that. So that's a plus for sure this is not my natural color, but it has enough 1b in there and the color is deep enough to where it makes sense. For me, it still looks natural uh. My this didn't look like my locs and um. My hair get light in the sun. The color is absolutely beautiful, probably about 90 percent of the time that i use janet collections, faux locs of any kind, i'm probably going to get oet-1b30. That is my favorite. It'S so beautiful! It'S so chocolatey, it's so rich! It looks so natural upon my head that it just makes sense. That'S it that's all it feels very natural. It has a natural luster, it's not shiny we're, not not at the barbie convention of the world. This is a natural look. This is 24 inches. I have no complaints only one, so i guess i have one complaint. I see. Okay, i said i have no complaints only one and that does not um logically make sense. My son would have pointed that out. So i'm just getting in front of this before he points it out. Hey, you said none in one. I just i don't know if you knew that um. Ladies and gentlemen, i realized that in a moment of exhaustion, i foolishly and senselessly uh said the word. None when in our actuality there is one and um. I take full responsibility for this transgression and hope that you will allow me the opportunity to write this tragic wrong, as i am focused and committed to doing for my community. Thank you. Okay. I got out in front of the scandal, so there is one kanye. There is one con that is the loop loops matter to me so much because that affects how quickly you can install, and that is a biggie for me, because i, like quick installs, all of the loops from these 10 locks will be the same. But if you open the next pack, those loops will be the same as themselves, but they may be different from the first pack. The loops are either going to be really tight or really loose. This one is pretty tight. This is not the easiest loop to work with, in all fairness with butterfly locks, it is very hard to have a very flexible loop just because the construction of butterfly locks you have to have it like super tight up there to be constructed. The way that it's supposed to be, i totally understand that, but there is a level of give that can be had with these loops. Some loops are just a little bit tight, so what you'll have to do like it's, not the worst thing in the world. What you will have to do is just take this. You kind of pull this down a little bit. You pull this down just a little bit and then you're able to loosen that up. You see that now you have a very pronounced loop and that's just if you want to put your fingers through what i end up doing what you'll see in the demo. I didn't even use my two fingers when loops are like this. You literally can put one finger right here. Just put your one finger there take this in because this end is thick and then you just push it inside the loop bam. Okay, you like them super distressed. Honey, go through grab your two. You know you know what to do. You can distress. You can distress these even more because of how it's wrapped, but also because of how it's wrapped, you can distress them when you're not even trying to distress when you're pulling the end through that loop make sure the loop is not squeezing the lock, because you'll end Up literally adjusting this entire lock and it will get longer because you can pull this you see, then it just looks like you just wrapped it that is common amongst all butterfly locks. Y'All, it's just the way the butterfly lock is constructed. You can get it girl get it, but that's going to add a little bit of time to your get a girl get a child when you have to stretch out those loops. That was literally like the only um issue that i had with this particular hair. Would i use these again? Yes, i would definitely rock these again. In fact, i will definitely rock these again, because you got ta weigh the pros and the cons. You can get some other hair and it is itchy. It'S heavy. It'S not constructed. Well, it looks wiggy. All that stuff, you don't get that with this, you get wonderful locks, that's literally the only thing you have to put a little bit more time into it. That'S it i'll. Take that anything over some wack faux locks, it's not a big deal, but it's my job to tell you all the deets so now y'all. As far as this braid pattern, you guys this is a new method. Well new on this channel. This is kind of like a a happy medium in between individuals and crochet install. This is like the love child of those two things when you don't want to go all the way to the side of individuals, because you still don't have all day, but you want that seamless, look right about through him. You want that and you want it to be easy. Okay, you want that right up and down. Okay y'all see me y'all, see that huh y'all see that y'all see that seamlessness up in there. You may want to throw it up: bam: okay, okay, okay, just making sure y'all see it because see some of y'all don't be saying this sometime. I just making sure y'all see it now, i'm gon na bring out sheila y'all. Yes, all my mannequins, whether it's a wig block, whether it's a mannequin, they are all sheila. Okay, what i'm about to show you? I only did this in the front like this part right here bam. This is the only part that i did this with all of this cornrow straight back now, if you cannot cornrow this, what i'm about to do? You can do everywhere. I dress can cornrow, so i cornrow the back bam. Easy breezy install you guys. As i always say, it is in your best interest with these crochet braids and these illusion patterns. It is still in your best interest to learn how to break get you one of these little mannequins or your little baby, nice, cousin, daughter or whoever and practice you guys. It is in your best interest if you want really quick, installs, okay, and once you get it, you got it. I also say that, because another way to do this is the rubber band method, and i would not ever just encourage you to continuously rubber band. Your hair, all the time, especially if you have fine natural hair like me, just learn at least learn how to plant, and then you can do the illusion pattern all over practice. It y'all, because you will be happier that way. It'S quick! It'S just in your best interest to learn: okay, okay. Now so i took this whole front part. Let me get this hair in the bike out the way. This is what you do and basically have two rows. One row right here: one row behind that: okay, this is exactly what you're going to do guys. This is a great method when your loops are small, like this come on, i'm going to get my face so bad, okay, when your loops are small like this. What you're going to do take this piece right here and you are going to split it into one of these pieces you're going to split again in a second, so, whichever side, you're comfortable with when you're doing your hair, your hand is always comfortable doing a plait. A certain way, whichever side you're going to split, put more hair on that side since you're going to split it. So i'm going to split this size, i have more hair on this side, less hair. On this side. The side that i have more hair on is the side. This piece of lock is going to go on. Okay, you are going to take this. Put it on your latch, the thick side, you're going to latch hook it on close the latch, then you're going to bring this piece of crochet hair you're going to pull it through, which puts it on the hair. So now you have. This is what you have. Okay bam. Now you are going to split this piece into remember. We said that piece is going to be split. Now you have your three parts of a plaque. That'S why i said it's in your best interest to learn. You got your right side, your middle side and your left side now you're going to flat if you're underhanded, then you're under you go under. I don't know over and that's why i don't teach this, but beautiful. Braid does okay, i'm literally just plaiting, i'm grabbing the right side and then i'm grabbing the left side and then i'm grabbing the right side. I'M making sure that the base of this is nice and snug, then the left side then the right side. Then the left side now that i know the base is real good and snug i'm going to plant this down. When i did my hair, i plaited down most of the way and then i started to twist once i got to the bottom, because my hair is very fine and i'm not here for the knot, games. Okay, so just say that was braided all the way down. This is what you have. This is the lock. This is your own braid right here now, you're going to do the pull through method, and it's going to be hidden very well, you guys, because of the first step we just did when your locks are nice and tight. This is a trick that i like to do for the pull through method, instead of trying to push this in the middle and find the middle. So i start with this first part. I want to make sure this first part of this braid is in here really well, so you start upside down. You put that hook in there find the middle and then then bring it over shoot it up and it'll shoot up straight through the middle. You have that in there, and this is not braided all the way down i probably should have, but i did find the end of your own natural braid. You put it in the in the latch close the latch, pull it through. Okay, pull it through bam. Now you see that that is hidden very well. I'M gon na show you i'm gon na come up on you like we finna fight that braid. That'S in there it's hidden. This is two different colors, so you can see how well that is hidden, make sure that root is in there. Okay, because that's the part generally that you see when people do the pull through method. Now you can start down a little further still doing the same thing upside down. Put that hook in there, then lift it up, keep going up up up up until you get to the last place. You left off poke that hook out. I still like to grab the end of the hair. That'S what i like to do it's easier for me, especially if my braid is a little thick, because the end is thin and it's easier to pull it through. Okay, so you would do that all the way down the lock, and this is how you would take it out. You will come to the top, and you literally before you cut this, lock pull your hair out, find where that is you see that piece of hair right there? You have to really search because we got it in there good. You will pull that out, then cut the lock y'all. Okay, don't cut the lock cause your hair is in there. Okay, you got ta, pull this out. First find that little loop, which is your own hair, bam, pull it out. Then you can take this. You can either cut that loop off or just cut it right here. Bam. If you cut it right here, it will unravel bam. Okay, so it's very easy to take out and then what i did. This back part is just regular cornrows and then the rest of it was just a regular. Install bam, bam, bam bam, so the longest part is gon na. Be this part right here and y'all that took me probably about an hour. I was shocked at how quickly i thought that it was gon na be like it was gon na get on my nerves, but it didn't because i use big boxes. You guys, i use big boxes, so it took me an hour max. Okay, you could do an updo, you could do down. You could do a side part either sad. Damn you think it's the game and it's clearly not hey all right. You could do whatever you want to with this hair. You can do two parts and just throw it back like this and bring some hair forward. It'S the opportunities of styling are endless with this. This is a very versatile braid pattern, one of the most versatile braid patterns, you guys so yeah, that's it when you're in here in the back. You do about one and a half finger whips apart, so put your finger there and then move it just a little bit down for another little bit of half of a finger with space. That'S back here!
