Hey Glam Squad!! Have you ever dyed a wig, LOVED it, but grew to hate it, and wish you could re dye it?? WELL I HAVE THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR YOU! This solution only works for MOST SEMI-PERMANENT DYES!!!! This is a QUICK, EASY, AND INTERESTING tutorial on how to revert a wig back to its original 613 color! So grab your wig, supplies, and your fav glass and wine and lets watch how science works!! :)
***WARNING THIS WORKS FOR HUMAN HAIR WIGS, MIGHT NOT WORK FOR SYNTHETIC BLENDS***
**If you are unsure what kind of hair you have, try dipping in and out and NOT LEAVING THE WIG SUBMERGED FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. Could result in melting or roughness!***

Thank glam Scott, so if you've been keeping up with me, you know that I made this lime green wave a long time ago, but the truth is, I actually hate it, I'm so tired of it. So we are going to remove the color today. So you are going to need baking soda. Some clarifying shampoo and some distance is some boiling hot water, though we're going to add the baking soda, not too much, but just a little bit. You don't want to dry out the hair and then we are going to add the dish detergent and then we are going to add the shampoo. I can just get that open by the right word. I think this is enough. Already you want the water nice and close once I have all of the products equally dissolved. I'M gon na transfer that, over to our dish, say hi max okay eat a little camera-shy today, even though he's in all my videos. But let's do that whoa trying not to burn myself. You know what I'm gon na go ahead and just dump all of it, and I'm gon na put the pan to the side right now. It'S time for the moment we've all been waiting for, which is to dunk. This beloved wig rests in power. Oh hot, I got my little globe, but what's it whatever color going into the water and that's exactly what we want, so what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na just let this bad boy sue here like some chicken and I'm gon na go, take a Or I lied, I'm just joking um. What I'm going to do is I'm actually going to prepare another pot of water just in case that the first round doesn't take. So I'm just gon na go ahead and fill that up turn on my stove and just get that right, okay friend, so I already set up this second pot of water to boil. While I go take a shower hole, so don't burn the house down y'all, hear about me in a news and I'm just gon na let this bad boy sit. Let'S just look at it. One more time before I go, take a shower rest in peace, lime. Okay, guys BRB. Oh that's boy, little water right there period. This is almost done. It'S probably out like the first stage. It'S still very, you know, slat, but isn't it just so interesting how when you're doing the water color dye, the water turns clear, but when you're taking the color off the wig the weight the water takes the color interesting, that's so pretty cool, so we're gon na Dump this bad boy out, I'm gon na rinse this wig and we're going to start all over as you can see from the video I am, I don't know water but anyways. Let me get my little baking soda, okay, not too much now we don't want to die to here up. Let me give a little sprinkle good luck, okay period and then we're gon na add the little Ajax in here. You feel me, Oh can't add it if it ain't open all right, squeeze that bad boy in there be generous baby, don't be stingy, then, last but not least, our what a clarifying shampoo get out. Big baby, all right, we're gon na start that bad boy up transfer Bobby, so we just gon na take this and dump that back waiting man once more. I'M gon na get this handle in here, and the water is already starting to transfer good, no imma. Let this sit again, as you can see, I rinsed up the wig and it looks pretty good um Loki Loki still has a bit of a lime green tint to it, but I'm satisfied with this look. If you are not satisfied with the color, then you wan na strip more. We could also go through another round of the bacons, so the shampoo treatment, but I think I'm satisfied. I'M also gon na try the neutralizing shampoo and see what color that turns in, but for now I'm satisfied with this song. The finished product this wig looks like I just took it out the box. I'M actually did lie to you guys. I was not satisfied with that last rinse that I did so. I went ahead and did another one. The tracks are still green but like who cares? You know what I mean, because you can't really dye it again, so yeah, that's exactly how you strip a wig of its semi-permanent color. Angel Love: It works it’s just the water is too hot and it will damage the hair. You don’t have to boil the water just use the hot water out the sink it gets the job done without the damage
Dahlia Cheung: FYI loves! If you use this method and there's still just a tiny bit of color left use the color wheel to find how to tone it. Whatever color you have, find the color opposite it on the color wheel to tone the hair to a neutral. So if you have a tiny bit of green tint you'll take red or a pure red based pink semi permenant dye and mix a drop with the conditioner you use to make the hair soft again. I've been doing hair for over a decade and this always works for me. It's the same idea as using purple shampoo to tone a yellow wig white or a blue toner to turn brassy orange hair to a neutral blonde. I hope this helps!
Tripie GeeGee: I repeat depending on how long you had your wig DO NOT rinse more than 3 times only with Luke warm water I had my blonde wig for 6 months it sheds here and there I only did ginger streaks and I rinsed like 7 times and the color only faded a little and my wig got really matted and clumps came out & currently still falling out smh I should’ve just went darker without wetting the hair
