Okayyyy Box Dye Coloring A Wig With Box Dye || Dark N Lovely || Lush Wig

So i was at home and i was trying to decide what i wanted to do with this wig like a hairstyle or something, and i looked to the corner and i saw some extra box dye and it was from dark and lovely i've never used. This particular color before so i was like all right. Let me give it a go and it actually came out really bomb. So if you want to see exactly how i achieve this color with box eye, keep watching. Okay, you guys so for color, we're gon na use, dark and lovely. This is red hot rhythm, the number 376. I have three boxes because i don't know how much i'm gon na use and basically we're gon na use this to color the wig that i have - and this is the wig right here. So this is from lush wigs, i'm not sure what texture this is. But this is a 24 inch wig. They did send me this wig, you guys, okay, so um it does have a face cap, i'm not a fan of the fake scalp, so i usually cut them off. You can cut those off it. Just kind of prohibits me from customizing the wig, how i want to it does have adjustable straps an elastic band for combs. The lace is very soft late. The knots are small okay and i don't like i said: i'm not sure what the texture is i'll leave. It down below in the description, so what i like to do, i like to put my all my color in a bottle like this. I have a lot of these. You can order these from amazon and they are reusable, so i'm have that over here and i'm gon na take a box. If you have not worked with box dye before then, i'm gon na tell you what you get in here. Okay, so you get some conditioner. The developer, which we are not using the hair, color and the instructions and these pamphlets usually have like gloves in there. I don't typically like these gloves, because let me show you what the gloves look like. I don't care for these kind of gloves because they loose. I, like snug gloves, so i already know that i'm gon na get asked how much developer are you supposed to put in there, because we're gon na switch this out to a 40 volume so on the bottle, it actually tells you. It has 2.38 fluid ounces or 70.5 milliliters, okay and so on. Here you know that here's two ounces right and i'm just gon na put it to the half line. So two two and a half ounces and we have three um bottles of color, so you're gon na do two times three and you're. Just gon na get your measurements that way. Okay, so i did pour all three bottles into this bottle. Okay, you do not need to use all three bottles. You could definitely get away with two, because box dye is a liquidy consistency with the color, so it does spread out really really good, so you definitely could just get away with um two bottles. If you're doing your whole wig, like everything like i left roots on this tutorial, if you're doing your entire wig, then you probably will want three bottles all right. So, whatever the measurement on the the developer bottle, is you want to multiply that by three and that's going to give you how much developer you should put in your applicator bottle all right once you have your developer in there and your color, you want to shake It on up and then it's time to prep your wig for a color and prepping. It is easy all right. So basically you want to put your wig on your wig stand. I will protect it, but you know my my blackheads are dirty at this point. So i really don't care um and i'm just going to just divide, divide or separate or part out the hair and i'm just gon na go in and apply the color and like basically fan it up, i don't i'm not gon na. Do the entire wig i'm gon na leave roots, so this could be a little bit messy because i just feel like you know, i wanted to have like the grown out root. Look if that makes sense, so i'm just gon na go in and just apply all of this color um and i'm gon na just let you guys watch that it's super easy you just gon na see me part the hair and apply color rub it in. I really massage this color in, because i wanted to make sure that i get it on every single strand, especially when i'm coloring it this way, because this is definitely a lazy way to color your hair. And so you want to make sure that you getting it on every curl, every strand, everything so um you're going to see me add a lot of product to this and you're going to see me really massage this color into this way. So what you're doing so when you first get your wig, it's really going to have like a deep wave pattern into it, but once you wash it and everything like that or if you process it, you might lose some of your um pattern. Okay, you don't ever want to go by how the pattern on the hair looks straight out the package, because it's not going to be that pattern when you wash your hair so um. This is a like. I i want to say, maybe a loose wave or a water wave texture like i said i don't know i'll leave it down below in the description box for y'all, but um. The hair took color really good, especially for me not having to bleach. The color came out very vibrant and i am shocked by that because sometimes people are afraid to use box dye and box dye is not bad, i'm just going to say when it comes to like blondes and things like that you're not going to achieve that color. That'S on the box when it comes to a blonde, all right, you're going to have to like lift it and then that color blonde will help you tone it out. But if you go from black to blonde with box eye, it's not going to work. It'S going to turn your hair brown, but if it comes to, if it comes to colors like these, these would definitely show in your hair and - and this is exactly what it did for me so after i applied um this color into the hair, i'm massaging it In i'm, gon na apply some excessive color. I'M gon na put this in a trash bag under the the blow dryer cap for about 15 minutes, and after that, i am going to rinse it off for cool water, i'm not going to shampoo it! I'M just going to rinse it out to the point where there is no more color coming off of this wig and i'm going to condition it with silicone mix and then style it to my liking and install it. And basically this is what my wig looked like. I told you guys the color was vibrant, so this definitely works. If you wanted to try this on your natural hair, i would definitely suggest that you could do it, but do not use 40 volume developer all right if you're doing extensions, definitely use 40 volume developer.
